Building a World Class Empire in another World-Chapter 34: Evolved spirits part 2
Chapter 34: Evolved spirits part 2
"Where the hell did all of you get these clothes from?" Aric asked. The spirits went quiet after he asked that, and Aric knew that quietness all too well. He also knew what was going to follow.
And just on cue, the banter and scolding started. "What? Do you want us to be naked?" Pentharis asked first.
"Calm down, Pentharis," Duvalis said. Immediately, the spirits were split into two sides, arguing with all their strength.
They finally stopped arguing after a while. Aric looked at them and sighed again. "This is gonna get tiring very fast," he said to himself.
"Just like our gender, the clothes we wear right now are the fabrication of what we feel. It is made of spirit energy," Unara said.
"Alright, I understand. Also, Unara, you are the leader now. You seem to be the only one I can at least rely on," Aric said.
Septa stepped up to introduce herself after the whole clothes commotion was done. She had blue hair and blue eyes, matching the tone that she wore. She had a calm demeanor almost like that of Unara.
"I'm Septa, Master, elemental spirit of water," she spoke with a calm voice and a smile. Aric immediately liked her as much as he liked Unara.
After her was Octa. He was calm and cold, his eyes devoid of any emotion. He was dressed in a long blue robe that matched his light blue hair.
"I am Octa, Master," he said in a cold tone but still held respect inside.
Aric was still shocked at how they could have such elaborate and distinct characteristics and yet still be able to switch into banter at any time.
Now after Octa, the last spirit remained, and that was Nona, the ninth spirit. She was beautiful, with dark silver hair and a beautiful gown. Her skin was as white as paper, yet it seemed extremely soft.
"I am Nona, Master, elemental spirit of space," she said.
Aric was shocked that she was a space spirit. He didn't know how rare that was, but he felt that was pretty rare.

After all of them had finished, Aric stood straight to speak to them. "I want to thank all ten of you for staying here, even though I know I'm not your master per se.
I appreciate all that you have done before today, and I look forward to doing more with your help along the line, but that is if you are willing to follow me," Aric said.
"Is this some backhanded method to get rid of us?" Pentharis asked with his brow raised.
"No, not at all. Why would I want to get rid of you?" Aric asked.
"Better, because I evolved after just a few days with you. I wonder how far I'll go if I stay with you for longer," Pentharis said, and the other spirits nodded in response.
Aric smiled when he saw that. He couldn't ask for anything better than this. He looked at Ariel and Elisa, who were there, and he waved to them with a smile.
"Hey guys, these are my friends and spirit companions," Aric said. Ariel looked at him with an expressionless face, like she didn't know what to say at all.
Sure, she had seen him talking to the spirits, but she was waiting for him to confirm that they were truly spirits—not just any spirits, but elemental higher spirits.
When he confirmed that, she didn't know what to think anymore. How could he be capable of such a thing? Many kingdoms fought tooth and nail to gain one higher spirit under them, yet somehow, Aric had ten.
She decided that the best thing for her now was to numb herself to whatever she saw because if she kept reacting to everything he did, she would suffer a heart attack and die.
Elisa looked at the ten spirits with wide eyes. She looked at them, then at Aric, with her mouth open, as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.
Finally, after a few back and forths, she finally spoke.
"This is the first time I am seeing a higher spirit in human form. I have seen some before, but they had some sort of animal form," Elisa expressed.
Unara was about to explain, but Septa took the lead and spoke. "Spirits evolve in relation to the environment that they find themselves in, the things that they see around them most of the time.
For us, we were close to Master, and that made us take human forms when we evolved," Septa explained. Aric found himself paying attention to her explanation because it was intriguing.
While they stood there, Aric heard footsteps headed their way. He looked in the direction of the footsteps and saw three six-feet-tall, fully ripped, athletic-looking hobgoblins. They had some small materials wrapped around their waists to cover their nether regions.
The three of them kneeled at the same time to Aric. Aric could already guess who these were without issue.
"Ron, Lucas, Gunam, is that you?" he asked.
"Yes, Master," they responded at the same time.
"Ohhh? They can talk now?" Aric said in shock.
"Yes, we can, Master. It seems after you gave us our names and we evolved, we gained the ability to speak the language," Ron explained.
"I see. I'm happy that the three of you could evolve. Can I guess what you are now? You are hobgoblins, right?" Aric said.
"Yes, Master, the three of us are hobgoblins. We will use this new strength to serve you till the end, Master," Ron said.
"There is only one person that can cause the evolution of several beings in one night, and that's you, Aric," Ariel said.
"I didn't know I could do that, but that's not important now. I now have the manpower to build and develop faster," Aric said.
"You have ten spirits, three hobgoblins, and a dark elf, and what you are worried about is construction?" Ariel asked.
"Of course, we have a ton of things to build. The greatest empire ain't gonna build itself," Aric said with a smile.
