Chapter 2

Suddenly, Alex gasped for air as his eyes flew open. He pushed himself from the bed too fast and almost fell, but quickly caught himself against the wall. Then he reached for the back of his head and froze when he didn’t feel any trace of blood.
With a confused expression he looked around and noticed the strangely familiar small room with old light blue curtains, and the squeaky ceiling fan, tracing lazy circles in the air.
That’s when it suddenly clicked. He knew this place. It was his old college apartment. A place he hadn’t seen in over twenty four years. So why was he back then?
Still confused, Alex stumbled into the bathroom and flicked the light switch on, then stared at the mirror. A younger version of him stared back.
"Is t-that me?"
He leaned closer to the mirror and touched his face, before exclaiming.
"Yes! I’m sure of it. That’s really me from twenty four years ago..."
Alex heart hammered against his chest, as his mind raced with different thoughts.
"What the hell is going on? Am I not suppose to be dead? So how then did I suddenly get transported to my old college apartment after hearing a strange voice"
The air suddenly vibrated as the familiar female voice echoed in Alex head again. Then blue light suddenly flooded the bathroom mirror, as floating screens unfolded in front of his eyes.

Alex quickly took a step back, and bumped his foot against the bathroom door in panic.

Alex ran a hand through his hair as he struggled to make sense of what was going on. A minute ago, he was killed by his bitch of a wife. Silence instantly flooded the room as Alex expression changed. He couldn’t believe that he just got roasted by a tiny being. Exhaling slowly he asked the question that had been on his mind.

For the first time, the chibi stopped teasing and looked at him with a calm expression as it’s voice grew almost human like.

Even though they weren’t really his biological children, They had still called him dad. That made Alex unable to hate them, but also unable to love them either.
He let out a sigh and forced his mind away from that topic.
