Chapter 90: RED ALERT!

A series of moments later, Rocky saw a wooden building that he supposed was the place containing the supplies. He blinked for a while before finding a proper spot to take a full look inside.

After climbing up to the top of a nearby wooden building, he smirked as he gazed at the wooden building in front of him.

It was even more than supplies—he could see gears and weapons, etc.

(Good thing) 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

After the first target was completed, he turned to another target: finding a way to open the gate of the outpost and wiping out the guards in the towers. If his plan succeeded, they could attack the enemies from the inside. It was more possible than beginning the battle directly.

At some point, while Rocky was moving from tent to tent, a familiar sound rang out.

[Congratulations! You have survived 13 days.]

Rocky chuckled slightly as he took a look at the runes before ignoring them. Some time later, Rocky ran to the basement of the tower. He looked up for a while before showing his claws and climbing up.

(I’m coming)

1 minute later, Rocky hid himself behind one of the wooden support beams of the tower. Occasionally, he glanced sneakily at the demon, who was observing the outpost. Beside him, a hideous, tiny beast was lying lazily.

He was waiting for the right timing to land a single strike to finish the demon off, while not drawing any attention from the demon in the tower beside.

His concentration held as he prepared to jump at them. His eyes widened as he noticed each of the demon’s movements—he didn’t want to miss the best chance.

Finally, that moment came after 2 minutes. Rocky bared his fangs as he lunged forward, at the same time transforming into another form like a snow leopard. He stretched his sharp, long claws. He gave the demon a death hug before delivering a bite into its throat, preventing any deafening yells from escaping.

The demon’s hideous beast was stunned by the sudden sneak attack from a strange creature. It groaned and turned into its real form, but its face twisted in horror as an unknown gravity blanketed it, crushing it into a mess of fresh blood and pieces.

Ting!

[You has slain a demon soilder.]

Rocky widened his eyes as he gazed at the runes ahead, at the same time releasing the corpse from his maw.

But he quickly remembered that he had also received points from killing the demon before. He dismissed the runes and began to jump off the tower. He would continue killing the other demons in the other towers until he felt none of them would be able to stop his troop from infiltrating the outpost.

When he felt that no one could prevent his troop at this time, he gazed into the distance and summoned his longbow.

He shot a signal arrow to that place, as planned from the start.

Pretty soon, Rocky could see the human troop quickly approaching the wall of the outpost. All of them went through the sharp stakes calmly—it didn’t matter. After all, the stakes’ purpose was to slow down fast enemies, but this time, it was a different story.

Well, all in all, it took them 4–5 minutes to get through.

Finally, they arrived at the base of the wall. But it wasn’t a big deal—5 minutes later, they were already inside the outpost.

Rocky looked down before jumping off the tower to the ground.

Bam!

Rocky slowly rose to his knees and stood up straight. He said,

"Get ready?"

Paul smirked.

"An unnecessary question."

Behind Paul, the other soldiers nodded at each other; even their beasts showed fighting spirit.

Bobby and Matt quickly ran through the crowd and came to their master.

Rocky said, turning his attention to the outpost,

"Let’s do it... but remember... our target is only taking the supplies and do as much damage as we can

He added, "We don’t need to push ourselves and take risks."

Rocky cleared his throat and said one more thing.

"Since they’re asleep, act like assassins. I guess it suits us right now."

Just like that, all of them began to go their separate ways to kill demons. They acted like Rocky said... acted like assassins; therefore, using their beasts wasn’t necessary. They approached each demon and finished them in one strike—not letting any of them make even a sound to warn the others.

But it was only a matter of time before one of the demons figured out what was happening.

At least, until then....

The shadow figures passed from tent to tent, leaving painful groans and trails of blood along their path.

"FUCK! HUMAN?—"

Rocky grabbed the demon’s mouth before sending a cold shiver down its spine. The demon went limp before collapsing, blood pouring from a hole in its chest.

Beside him, Matt was locking a demon’s throat in his maw, preventing any sound from escaping. Bobby was more brutal than Matt and Rocky—he just beheaded them in one strike.

At some point, a scream resounded across the outpost. It looked like a human soldier had accidentally let a demon figure it out.

"RED ALERT! RED ALERT! ...ENEMY!...ENEMY INSIDE! ...WE’RE UNDER ATTACK!"

Rocky scowled, then scratched his head for a moment. Well, he couldn’t force everybody to act perfectly like him. There was always a chance of mistakes.
