So he smiled. "Then I should be the one to do it. I forgot to tell you, Aunt Shen asked me to take care of you here. She also said... we’ll be living together and can look out for each other."

Shen Congwen was stunned. Before he could process this, Zhou Yunchen added, "But I can see you’re not the type who likes living with others, so don’t worry. I’ve bought an apartment downstairs. If you ever need anything, just call me, okay?"

"Looking after you is going too far?" Zhou Yunchen chuckled. "Congwen, your temper is too foul. You need to work on that, or your future girlfriend will have a hard time, won’t she?"

"I don’t have a lover," Shen Congwen snapped, turning his face away. I... I’m a girl, how could I have a lover?

Zhou Yunchen leaned closer, his voice like a warm caress. "Really? Dare you say you’ve never liked anyone?"
