CAT WARLOCK: This Darklord Feasts Upon Horror-Chapter 216: Psychowares
"For the ceremonial uniforms, you girls no longer have any restrictions. But obviously, you can’t use Psychoware to make your ceremonial uniforms or Psionic Alloys.
There are three materials that I suggest you girls could use.
Elasform. This thing can enhance your energy projection.
Microcell. This material could help you in withhold your Psycho Force. It will allow you to hide your power even in front of a stronger opponent.
Nozorite. This was a special one. It actually isn’t a fabric, but rather a tiny particle that you could embed into your clothes. This one is purely for enhancing your Psycho-Blade."
"What is a Psycho-Blade?" Selina raised an eyebrow.
"From what I heard," Becky said, "Psycho-Blade is one of the three main Psionic Paths in the Institute. The others are Psycho-Cast and Psycho-Slave. I suspect you are well familiar with Psycho-Slave, Selina.
It is the Psionic Path that focuses on having familiarity."
’Psycho-Blade? Psycho-Cast? and Psycho-Slave? Why does this feel very familiar to my Warlock Artifacts?’ Mater couldn’t help but wonder. He quickly threw this out of his mind as there was no way for him to find out the truth as of now.
"I’d like a blend. Just like the first one." Selina said.
"A blend, huh? Just the offensive type or..." Leonard said.
"Everything." Selina said.
"Alrighty then." Leonard took the pen off his ear and wrote into his notepad. He hadn’t seen such a rich customer for a while.
"It’ll be 50,000 credits per meter. 200,000 credits for you and the tall lady, 150,000 creds for the short girl. I’ll take another 50,000 credits for the craftsmanship."
"Sounds good to me." Loretta said.
Loretta paid her 216,000 credits.
Selina paid her 216,000 credits.
Becky poured all of her savings out and paid 100,000 credits. The girl was officially broke. Loretta and Selina helped her pay the remaining 66,000 credits.
Selina lost in total 249,000 credits.
"Alright. Girl. I have your standard and ceremonial outfits details here. The battle suit you will need to visit my friend, Tony in the AE Forges. He is a specialist in this." Leonard said.
"AE Forges? I’m actually a regular there." Selina said.
"Oh? You do LARP?" Leonard said.
"Something like that."
"Then you should know where it is. He had a shop there called Black Silver."
"Thank you, Mr. Barrington." Selina said.
The three girls left the tailor shop. They met other students coming to the tailor shop on their way out. This time they were rather respectful and were different from the arrogant group that saw earlier.
They rode to the AE Forges in the same day and visited Black Silver. Tony had bought a forge studio there. His studio was much bigger than the one Mater had.
The shop was rather crowded when they got there. All type of role-player was hanging around. Some were browsing. While a few were just there to look at the awesome suits of armor.
Selina went to the front desk.
"Hey there. We are here to see Tony."
"Oh? Aren’t you the goth girl on the other side?"
"Yep. That’s me."
"Why do you need to meet Tony?"
"Leonard sent us."
"I see. Please follow me."
The girls entered the back of the forge and were led beneath the ground.
"Why do these Psychics like to stay underground so much?" The black cat meowed. He couldn’t help but wonder.
"Welp. Not that I have the right to complain. I was thinking of turning the Underpark into the base for operation as well."
Underneath the Black Silver was a larger structure with many pathways. Mater noticed that there were some types of tunnels leading into the Black Silver.
"If I remember correctly, there were tunnels inside the Institute leading to other places. So they weren’t just internal passageways. Aeliz City probably has a complex underground system." The black cat stroked its whiskers in deep thoughts.
"Hello there. I am Tony Snow. How may I help you?"
Tony had a clean buzz-cut on his head and stubbly beard on his jaw.
"Leonard sent us here. We were told that you are specialized in making battle suits."
"You heard right. Institute?"
"That’s right, sir." Becky said.
"I see. If you visited Leonard already, you should know about the Psycho Materials already.
Battle suits used two more things.
Psychoware and Psionic Alloys.
Psionic Alloys are the same as Psycho Materials but they’re metal-based instead. There are three big groups of Alloys. Enhancing, concealment, and defense.
There are many variations which you can pick later. I have an entire catalog.
What you need to be concerned about is Psychoware."
"I heard about Psychoware before. But what exactly is it?" Selina said.
"It’s the same thing as PSI. But Psychowares are more general. Psycho Stream Integrators are devices to help Psychics use their Psionics.
Psychowares can have many different functions. Each can represent a Psychic Ability that the Psychic can’t use or some other types or power.
Some Psychics lack physical power. A Psychoware can be installed to leech off their Psycho Force and make them as powerful as a Blade-Psychic without needing to become one.
Or maybe you would like to have impenetrable skin? That’s Psychoware.
The battle suits are different from traditional suits of armor because they use Psycho Materials and Psionic Alloys, not just steel. They aren’t as heavy or as thick and more like smart power armor. The Psychowares are installed last to add on special powers.
You can go the traditional route of enhancing your advantages. Some like to cover their weaknesses. A few go after specific abilities for some type of combos."
Tony led the girls inside his workshops and showed them the battle suits. Battle suits were one piece tight-fitting suits with detached pieces of armor on the outside. Psychowares were engraved into the suit and became one with the armor.
"Huh... These battle suits are much less cumbersome than I thought. It isn’t total coverage like a normal suit of armor." Loretta said.
Tony nodded, "That’s correct. We aren’t ordinary humans after all."
