Chapter 356: Chapter 356: The Home That Might Not Survive Tomorrow

Su Qinglan’s face went completely pale as the realization hit her.

"This is not good!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling. "The evil ferocious beast cubs are here in our tribe. If we stay here, we will all be buried alive!"

She looked at her husbands with wide, panicked eyes. "I need to go and find my father immediately. We have to pack the necessary items and leave this place right now. This mountain is no longer safe."

Su Qinglan knew that a normal beast tide was bad, but this was much worse. These were evil ferocious beasts. They were famous for being incredibly cruel and relentless.

If their cubs were killed or taken, the adults would not just attack. They would self-destruct and kill everything around them just to get revenge.

"We do not know how long our tribe has been covered in the scent of those cubs," she said, her breath coming in short gasps.

"Even if we try to hide nearby, those beasts will track the smell of the blood and find us. They have completely lost their reason. They will not stop until everyone is dead."

Hu Yan watched her and nodded grimly. He stood up to accompany her to the tribe leader. He knew she was right.

Before, he thought they could stay and fight to protect their home, but the situation had completely changed. Staying here was not brave anymore. It was suicide.

"The situation is out of control," Han Jue said, his voice deep and serious. "It is no longer safe to even step outside without a plan. We have to leave this mountain immediately before the main forces arrive."

Su Qinglan felt a cold sweat on her forehead. Every second they wasted talking was a second the beasts got closer. She looked at the door, her heart hammering against her ribs.

They had to move fast, or the Fox Tribe would be nothing but a memory by morning.

She could not waste time and immediately left the tree house to inform her father, her husbands following close behind like a wall.

They were heading straight for the tribe leader’s house to warn everyone to run.

As she ran down the forest path, her lungs burning, a sharp, piercing alarm went off in her head.

"HOST! EMERGENCY!" Xuyu, the system, was practically screaming.

Su Qinglan stumbled, nearly tripping over a tree root. "What? What happened now?" she cried out in her mind.

"Host, the situation has escalated. My sensors are showing that the beast tide has been triggered early. Someone has rushed them," Xuyu’s voice was frantic. "You do not have six days anymore. You have twenty-four hours. Only one day!"

Su Qinglan’s heart stopped. She felt like someone had punched her in the stomach.

"One day? How? They were miles away!"

"Someone is leading them here directly," Xuyu replied. "The mindless evil ferocious beasts are not searching for the scent anymore. They are being guided like an army."

Su Qinglan’s mind went blank.

What? How could that happen? Who did this?

The system answered immediately.

"Of course, Host," Xuyu said coldly. "It is the old witch doctor."

Her heart sank.

"He likely discovered that you are planning to evacuate the tribe," the system continued. "So he forced the beast tide to advance early."

Su Qinglan’s legs nearly gave out.

Her face turned deathly pale.

She began to tremble uncontrollably. This was her first real home. This was where she had her babies, where she found her husbands, and where she finally felt safe.

The thought of thousands of people, elderly, children, and families, trying to move an entire tribe in just twenty-four hours was impossible.

"Lan Lan? What is wrong?" Hu Yan asked, catching her by the shoulders. He could see her eyes were glazed over and her body was shaking.

Su Qinglan could not even speak. She felt a cold, paralyzing fear. Twenty-four hours was not enough time. The Fox Tribe was going to be slaughtered.

Xuyu’s voice softened in her head, sounding uncharacteristically gentle.

"Host, do not worry. You will be safe. The cubs will be safe too. If an emergency happens that truly threatens your life, the system will trigger an emergency transport. You and the cubs will be moved to a safe place instantly."

Instead of feeling relieved, Su Qinglan felt a surge of bitterness. "And the tribe? My mates? My father? The people here? You will just let them die?"

Xuyu went silent. The system had no answer for that.

Su Qinglan snapped out of her daze, her eyes turning sharp with desperate determination.

She did not want a safe place if it meant standing over the graves of her people. She looked at Hu Yan and the others, her voice cracking but firm. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"We do not have days," she choked out. "We have twenty-four hours. The beasts are coming tomorrow. We have to move everyone now."

The silence that followed her words was heavier than the forest itself. Hu Yan, Xuan Long, Han Jue, Rong Ye, and Shi Feng all froze in their tracks. The air seemed to turn cold instantly.

"One day?" Hu Yan repeated, his voice barely a whisper. "Lan Lan, are you sure? The priest said we had almost a week."

Su Qinglan nodded, her eyes filling with tears she refused to let fall. She could not tell them it was a system notification, so she gripped her chest and gasped...

"I can feel it. The plants and the earth, they are screaming. Someone has driven the beasts into a frenzy. They are not walking anymore. They are running. They will be here by this time tomorrow."

Rong Ye’s fox tail went limp, and his usual playful face was replaced by a mask of pure terror. "One day. We cannot move the elderly and the nursing mothers that fast. It is impossible!"

Xuan Long’s eyes turned into cold, vertical slits. He did not waste time doubting her. He knew Su Qinglan’s instincts were never wrong. He stepped forward and grabbed her hand, his voice steadying the group.

"Then we stop standing here," Xuan Long commanded, his aura exploding with the power of an ancient beastman.

"Hu Yan, go to the Tribe Leader. Han Jue, start gathering every scrap of food and medicine in the tree house. Shi Feng, you have to lead the tribe. We will move out from the tribe when the sun is high. Use your roar to alert the entire tribe."

Shi Feng snapped out of his shock and nodded sharply. He looked at Su Qinglan, seeing her shivering form, and felt a surge of protective rage. "I will rally the warriors. We will create a perimeter."

Su Qinglan looked at her husbands, her heart pounding against her ribs. She knew the System had a safe zone for her, but she looked at the houses around her and the tribe. She would not be the only survivor.

"Go!" she shouted, her voice finally finding its strength. "Go to the tribe centre. We have twenty-four hours to save our lives!"

Su Qinglan also did not wait. She immediately ran towards Lan Yue’s tree houses. She could not leave her all alone. After all, Lan Yue had no one to protect her. As an elder sister, she had to take care of her too.

She immediately shouted,

"Stove...stove, come out."

"Where are you?"

Her voice rang in the clearing, sharp and urgent, echoing between the trees as if urging the forest itself to wake up.

Almost at the same time, as the men scattered to their tasks, the peaceful morning was shattered by the deep, terrifying roar of the Lion King and the howl of the Wolf, signaling to the entire Fox Tribe that the end was coming much sooner than they feared.
