Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough-Chapter 1583: Three Years (2)
During the three years that the Star Shattering Sect rapidly increased in strength and increased its territory, Elder Song didn’t just focus on helping expand the sect but also had the opportunity to spend some time cultivating. Allowing his cultivation that had always been lacking behind other elders due to his responsibilities to reach the Ninth Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm.
Although this could be considered normal progress or even rapid progress in the current Star Shattering Sect, it was mostly because he received the assistance of not just Xuan Hao, but also Pei Yang, Feng Chen and several other powerful elders and new guest elders of the sect, who all wanted to help him out.
The treasures and cultivation resources that he received directly from all these people were more than enough to help make up for any hidden dangers that might be left behind by him having used demonic techniques to heal his granddaughter in the past. Making a future attempt to reach the Domain Lord Realm a very real possibility that had made the always busy Elder Song set aside some time to focus on cultivation in hopes of breaking through to the Domain Lord Realm.
After all, even if everyone in the sect respected him, including the different wandering cultivators who had joined the sect a little over three years earlier, he still didn’t want to be left too far behind the other elders of the sect and wanted to at the very least keep up with the average cultivation of the rest of the elders.

Outside of Elder Song, Feng Chen had also shown major improvements in strength during the past three years and even though he had not gone as far as breaking through to the Intermediate Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, he could now be considered stronger than most of the Soul Ascension Realm wandering cultivators who had joined the sect. Relying on his strong comprehension of the Dao of the Sword and insights into his sword intent to accomplish this.
After all… Sword cultivators were known to be the strongest when it came to fighting for a reason, something that didn’t change at higher cultivation realms, though there were far fewer sword cultivators at higher cultivation realms due to the stringent requirements when it came to nurturing a powerful sword intent.
A clear example would be Xuan Hao himself, as he was still stuck in the Sword Soul Realm without any signs of reaching the Sword Heart Realm above the Sword Soul Realm.
Though… A reason for this was also the fact that there was little to no information on the Sword Heart Realm outside of the name of the realm itself. The different major powers might have information on the Sword Heart Realm, but it wasn’t anything that he would be able to get his hands on even if he wanted. Meaning that he had to explore on his own how to reach the realm.
One positive in that regard was that Feng Chen had already managed to reach the Nascent Sword Soul Realm or the Half Step Sword Soul Realm during the past three years. Meaning that he would soon have someone else to explore the Sword Heart Realm together with him.
Not that he had been focused on trying to breakthrough to the Sword Heart Realm for the past three years, as he had spent most of his time on the Second Star Peak trying to reach the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Ice.
The reason being that even after the boost in comprehension from absorbing the blue divine energy from the rocks on the Second Star Peak ran out around the start of the second year, the proximity to the blue divine energy on the Second Star Peak did seem to have an effect on his comprehension speed of the Dao of Ice not much different from his time in the Frozen Wasteland, subtly making it easier to comprehend the Dao of Ice.
By now, he was infinitely close to reaching the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Ice. However, that final step had already kept him stagnant for over half a year by now. Showing no sign of improving no matter how long he spent on the Second Star Peak.
In simple words, he had reached a bottleneck that he couldn’t simply overcome by trying to comprehend the Dao of Ice on his own without possibly spending decades locked in seclusion.
If he wanted to overcome the bottleneck in the short term, he would either need the flame imprint to absorb more of the blue divine energy and increase his comprehension of the Dao of Ice in the process or he would have to go out and search for locations where the Dao of Ice was more present and easier to comprehend.
However, the flame imprint had shown no signs of activity and was unable to absorb more of the blue divine energy. Meaning that the only real choice he had for breaking through the bottleneck that he found himself facing would be to leave the sect in search of special locations where the Dao of Ice was easier to comprehend.
Unfortunately, outside of the Second Star Peak that wasn’t of help to him when it came to overcoming the bottleneck, the only other location that he knew about that made it easier to comprehend the Dao of Ice was the Frozen Wastelands… And given the current state of things, it wasn’t realistic for him to wander into the Frozen Wastelands in search of an opportunity to overcome his bottleneck.
Even if he had comprehended the Dao of Space to the Perfection Realm and felt confident in being able to escape in the face of someone in the Demon King Realm, he had become far more cautious of the strength of the demonic cultivators after learning about just how strong the different major powers like the Blue Sea Empire were, as the demonic cultivators of the Frozen Wasteland had been bold enough to challenge not just the Blue Sea Empire, but over a dozen different major powers at the same time. Making it obvious that their strength went far beyond the few demonic cultivators in the Demon King Realm that had appeared so far.
