Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough-Chapter 1584: Three Years (3)
Knowing that it wouldn’t be a good idea for him to leave the sect to try and look for an opportunity to break through to the Perfection Realm in the Dao of ice, Xuan Hao instead decided to turn his attention back towards comprehending the Dao of the Sword. Having already decided that this was going to be the third dao he comprehended to the Perfection Realm. After all, he was still some distance away from reaching the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.
Not to mention, he also had to start worrying about the dangerous situation he would end up finding himself in after the layers around his dao seed reached 30, as that would signify the Peak of the Dao Seed Realm where the layers around his dao seed fully integrating themselves into the dao seed. Signaling that he would be ready to reach the Profound Immortal Realm under normal circumstances.
However, given that his aim was to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, he would have to go beyond that, something that would place him in a life and death as the pressure on his dao seed would increase exponentially with each additional layer beyond 36, the given limit of the Dao Seed Realm.
Of course, all of this was only from what little he had managed to learn about the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm so far and not something that he had personally experienced himself, so he couldn’t be certain about what would happen when the layers merged with his dao seed exceeded 36.
The only thing he could be certain about was the fact that it wasn’t going to be an enjoyable experience. Painful to the point that those from the past had given up on trying to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm because of it… And those who remained stubborn and tried to continue pushing forward ended up dead.
To prepare himself for this, Xuan Hao felt that it might be a good idea for him to push his comprehension of the required Daos to their limit before attempting to breakthrough in a short period of time to avoid potentially being forced to break through before reaching the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, or worse, dying.
Unfortunately, no matter how much he prepared himself, controlling his comprehension of certain Daos and when he would breakthrough was not something that was realistic and was more so, just him trying to reassure himself that he had something to fall back on and ensure that he encountered as little danger as possible when he stepped beyond the limitations of the Dao Seed Realm.
The only thing that might be capable of helping him vastly improve his comprehension in the short term was the system but looking at his current progress of the missions that he had, it didn’t look like he would be able to rely on its help when it came to breaking through to the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

The main sect quest, though it showed good progress over the past three years, was still far away from being completed, the most troubling part of the quest being where he would find someone in the Profound Immortal Realm. After all, for the sect to nurture someone with that level of strength wasn’t a matter of a few hundred years. Even a few thousand years might not be enough for the Star Shattering Sect to naturally give birth to someone in the Profound Immortal Realm.
As for finding someone in the Profound Immortal Realm to join the sect? That was even more impossible, as almost every Profound Immortal Realm cultivator on the continent would already be part of a major power.
The few that might be present among wandering cultivators wouldn’t be willing to join the Star Shattering Sect, even if it was a hidden ancient sect.
Not to mention, the sect didn’t really have a realistic way to control someone in the Profound Immortal Realm for now. Making it extremely risky for the sect to allow someone that strong from outside the sect, join the sect in the first place.
As for other ways to rapidly increase his comprehension outside of the quests from the system… There was a way in the form of the source crystal he had managed to obtain from a past system quest.
The main problem with this was that consuming the source crystal carried a certain risk due to its size and the powerful energy inside of it… And there was also the fact that part of him wanted to use it together with the time stone in the future to hopefully increase his comprehension of the Dao of Time.
After all, it was one of the most mysterious Daos and by far one of the most difficult Daos to comprehend. Even the Dao of Space was easier to comprehend compared to the Dao of Time, as he could at least find someone other than him on the continent who had comprehended the Dao of Space.
Although, it might also have to do with the fact that those who comprehended the Dao of Time in the past seemed to have mysteriously disappeared from the continent a short time after information about their comprehension of the Dao of Time spread. Leading him to believe that there might be some powerful cultivators among the major powers who had comprehended the Dao of Time, but chose to keep it a secret.
