[ ...+5% Wind-related spell proficiency. ]

[ ...+5% Fire-related spell proficiency. ]

A flower with one side of its petals glowing with golden hues and the other side with silver hues appeared before Ezekiel.

A thick book with mysterious incriptions glowing with a neon blue light, and a scroll radiating the same colour appeared next.

Ezekiel quickly clicked on each.

[ Sun and Star Flower.

Function: A Legendary Grade A flower which can permanently increase the ncrease the innate talent of a magical beast when consumed, or enhance an individual spirit veins, or serve as a primary ingredient for high-tier exliris and portions for both magical beasts and others. ]

[ Custom Book Spell.

Function: A blank tome capable of recording and manifesting any spell concept the user imagines. After being infused with mana and the user's comprehension, it automatically generates the spell's framework.

Note: The stronger the user's affinity, the more likely the spell is to be generated and be powerful. ]

[ Custom Cybernetic Beast Armour Blueprint.

Function: A customisable, schematic armour blueprint for creating a unique cybernetic armour set for any contracted magical beast. The armour will evolve alongside the beast and can be modified or upgraded using rare materials. ]

As Ezekiel read through the descriptions, he realised that the rewards were far more impressive than he had assumed.

His eyes lit up as he read the description of the Sun and Star Flower.

Could it really enhance the spirit veins of an Awakener, or possibly even cure a defective spirit vein?

To his understanding, a person is born with a fixed number of spirit veins, and nothing can change that.

However, this revelation suggested otherwise.

Nonetheless, Ezekiel was aware that many strange phenomena in this world had not yet been uncovered.

Some things could upend their current understanding, including his own system.

There was no way to explain it thoroughly, and it seemed more magical than anything he currently understood. Regardless, one of the many lessons he had learned in class was how to accept such changes quickly.

So, Ezekiel quickly digested the information and moved on to the next matter.

Ezekiel decided to use the Sun and Star Flower to improve Felix's innate talent.

Ezekiel didn't know how powerful it would be if made into an elixir, but that was currently beyond his reach. For now, he could only make do with what he had in his possession.

Ezekiel added the wind proficiency to his Sky Dash spell and applied the fire proficiency increase to his Fire Spark spell.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ Spells:

┗ Sky Dash - Advanced Spell (17%)

┗ Fire Spark - intermediate Spell (16%)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Instantly, a rush of insights about the Sky Dash and Fire Spark spells flowed into his mind as both spells were enhanced by 5 per cent.

Ezekiel held the tome in his hand.

At present, he had a balanced arsenal of offensive, defensive, and utility spells. The only thing he lacked was a highly offensive spell capable of devastating an opponent.

Since spell power depended on both the user's comprehension and their affinity, the best spells he could create at the moment were advanced spells, but none would fulfil the level of destruction he desired.

Ezekiel wondered if he could also turn his tamed beast skills into spells.

Many spells and sacred arts had been created by observing magical beasts. Even his Mountain Snow Dragon Sacred Art had been developed by a branch member of the Zahara Clan, refined over the years into a Sky-Grade High-Ranked Sacred Art, and was only given to notable or talented Magical Swordsmen recruited by the Zahara Clan.

Ezekiel didn't consider transforming their special skills into spells because of the difficulty involved.

Special skills could only be obtained through innate talents, special bloodlines, or unique physiques.

After awakening his Cybernetic Evolution talent, he had obtained an active special skill. He knew no one else could replicate it without his talent, his unique physique, and the nanites swimming within his bloodstream, which regulated his spirit veins and physique.

So it would be difficult for him to replicate even his tamed beasts' cybernetic special skills.

However, that was not the case for normal cybernetic skills.

Ezekiel summoned Felix in his cybernetic form.

He had mastered the use of his Beast Space and could have Felix transform and detransform within it. He could also do the same for the Mantle Golden Crown Beast, but he chose to wait until it awakened to increase its fusion compatibility more rapidly.

Ezekiel opened Felix's status sheet and examined his profile.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

◆ Skills:

┗ Nano-Blade Claws (Perfection)

┗ Plasma Horn Charge (Perfection)

┗ Hyper Acceleration (Perfection)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

While the rest of his skills in his cybernetic form had already reached perfection, Felix's regular form had just reached the intermediate level.

Ezekiel presumed this was because Felix was retaining some of his understanding to help improve his regular skills outside his cybernetic form. They seemed to be steadily improving, though Ezekiel had no idea how long it would take before they caught up with his cybernetic self.

So, Ezekiel ruled out the first two options and chose Hyper Acceleration.

[ Hyper Acceleration

Description: Cyber-enhanced speed boost that temporarily increases movement speed. ]

"Can you send me an understanding of that skill?" Ezekiel asked.

This was also one of the reasons he had chosen cybernetic skills, because he would be able to easily break down the skill with Felix's powerful brain.

Felix sent the information.

After digesting it, Ezekiel distilled the skill to require only two human legs to function, conceptualising it as running on his Spirit Veins, and merging it with his understanding of Sky Dash and the wind and fire attributes.

He then imagined the spell he wanted to create.

Instantly, the tome was unsealed, and the pages opened and turned rapidly as if they had no end.

A system alert appeared on it.

[ Input Custom Book Spell. ]

A strange connection formed between him and the tome.

Ezekiel poured his understanding of the kind of spell he desired through that connection into the tome.

Suddenly, the connection was cut off.

[ Creating spell... ]

The pages of the tome slowly began to calm.

Ezekiel observed the tome with bated breath.

[ Spell created. ]

"It worked," Ezekiel sighed deeply.

The tome quickly came to a halt with one last page turn at its centre. Surprisingly, a few sentences were written on it:

[ Blazing Gale Steps – Advanced Spell

Description: The user can harness controlled wind flow to move quickly and accurately. Can momentarily run along walls or mid-air with each step. Each step will leave a searing flame or shockwave that can damage or blind nearby enemies. With focus, the user can curve momentum mid-dash or even reverse direction instantly.

Do you wish to learn? Yes/No ]

Ezekiel saw that he could start afresh if the spell didn't satisfy him. However, he had already poured everything he knew into creating it and had entirely made up his mind, so he quickly selected 'Yes.'

Insights of the spell poured into Ezekiel's mind. His Spirit Veins began automatically guiding mana through the specific channels needed to activate the spell.

Ezekiel didn't need to do much except gradually accelerate the process by remaining calm.

[ Detecting high similarity with existing spell: [Sky Dash] ]

[ Initiating automatic fusion… ]

[ Upgrading spell rank… ]

Ezekiel had initially been worried that his Sky Dash would become useless, especially since Blazing Gale Steps had high similarities with it, after all of the investments he had poured into it.

He couldn't help but sigh in relief upon seeing that the system had automatically merged the two spells.

Ezekiel waited patiently for the results.

[ Blazing Gale Steps – 1st Tier Spell

Description: By channelling wind and fire, the user can move at extreme speed, run along walls or in mid-air, and leave a trail of flames or shockwaves that damage or blind nearby enemies. Momentum can be curved, reversed, or chained mid-dash. Wind currents can be used to push enemies away and deflect projectiles.

Special Effects: The user's momentum can build up until it reaches its limit. ]

The first thing Ezekiel's eyes landed on was the progression level of the spell.

A 1st Tier Spell!

Basic, Intermediate, High, and Advanced spells were used mainly by Awakeners of the Hunter and Warrior Path.

Above that progression level were the Tiered spells, which Awakeners of the Magus Class primarily used. Awakeners below that level couldn't understand a tiered spell, and even if they could, it was nearly impossible to cast one without exhausting their mana reserves.

However, a Path of the Magus Class could utilise a 1st Tier spell even while at Rank One.

As they grew stronger, the progression level of the spell increased, along with its power. This was one of the reasons why Magus Class Paths were so formidable.

Even a powerful Awakener like Sarafina would have to think twice before intruding on one of the students of a Beastmaster Path Instructor, despite her circumstances. Although he had his doubts, seeing the spell upgrade to a 1st Tier made him excited.

It also had a special effect, which was incredible.

Now he had successfully acquired a Hybrid Movement 1st Tier spell, enhancing his overall strength.
