Time seemed to trickle slowly inside the ship.

"C.C Corporation is done for." A man in a blue suit and dark hair swished the wine in his glass. His crooked hawk-nose wrinkled as he faced the other six.

"That tech company in New York? Wasn’t that company listed as one of the city’s top companies? What happened?" One of the six asked.

The man in a blue suit snorted. "Well, I once met one of their grandchildren and fancied them. Yet, when I went and asked Mr. Robert whether he was willing to let me have one of them for a week in exchange for a business deal, he actually refused. Naturally, I can’t allow a man like that stay and act arrogantly in front of me."

Lu Chengyu resisted the urge to look at him. He knew what background the man in the blue suit possessed. He was the reigning mayor of New York City. For the past 15 years, he held the position, and the power he had in his hands continued to grow. And along with this, his insatiable craving for sports and pleasure also increased.

From the reports the organization has gathered, the NYC mayor, Garret Vance, grew up in the city. He came from a middle-class family before he became a mayor. The man hummed. "I guess it’s time for everyone to relocate to the banquet hall and join the show."

"I’m excited about what you have prepared for us."

"I wonder if you prepared enough entertainment for all of us?"

The man smiled noncommittally. "Don’t worry, it’ll be a surprise."

"Alright then, we will look forward to it."

One by one, the six people left the room. When Lu Chengyu and the man were the only ones inside, the latter stood up and dragged his cane on the floor.

Once he stood on Lu Chengyu’s side, he stopped and turned his head slightly, speaking to him, "Prepare her and bring her to my room. I want to see her before I bring her to meet everyone. Make sure she’s all dolled up and proper."

"I understood, Your Excellence."

The man continued his walk, and before he completely disappeared from Lu Chengyu’s sight, he left a sentence that made the other tremble in fear.

"Any mishaps will cost not only your life, Lu Chengyu."
