Chapter 448: No Fear Or Doubt

Hours passed as Darian took his time reflecting on the fusion between the two body techniques. Soon, he came to the conclusion that in a real fight—using everything to the limit—it would be simpler and more efficient to merge everything at once. Luckily, he’d have a good opportunity soon enough.

When a full twenty-four hours had gone by, a pair of massive, crimson eyes opened before him. A pure white light burst out, illuminating the entire dark space.

Darian stood up and saw, at the very center of it all, a one-meter-tall egg covered in primordial runes, radiating incredible power. The Will had delivered everything as it should be; besides rebirth, it had also infused even more of the Primordial Dragon’s bloodline. Once born, she would be an abnormal—and terrifying—girl.

Darian moved closer and gently held the egg. There wasn’t a soul inside yet, but he could feel the almost fully formed fetus within. The disease Niara had once suffered from was gone, and the damage to the soul connection had completely vanished.

In an instant, green runes appeared and surrounded the egg, sealing it completely.

"When you remove the seal, the world’s Laws will connect, and soon after, it’ll receive a soul." The voice spoke calmly.

Darian took a deep breath and stored the egg away. He wasn’t afraid of raising an enemy; he was certain Heaven’s Will would choose a proper soul—one with karma that matched that body.

"With that, you may leave, missionary. Your karma is now deeply tied to the Primordial Dragons; because of that, my true self already knows about you and will be keeping an eye on your actions." The Will spoke, and a passage opened before Darian.

He saw total darkness on the other side, along with an oppressive feeling.

That was what this Will had called the ’Mind Chamber’. Darian recognized it—it was identical to the dark room that existed on planet Vadise. So someone from the royal family, in the past, must’ve obtained the artifact that created that place from within this Trial.

The place wasn’t exactly a room but rather a long corridor. Inside it, everyone walked forward, struggling to breathe. They felt their wills on the verge of breaking apart.

In the darkness, countless negative emotions constantly invaded them. All their insecurities, painful memories, and bitter experiences were shown to them again and again. It was as if there was an invisible wall ahead, blocking their progress.

That wall drove them to despair. Because of it, they couldn’t see light or hope—only hopelessness. Even so...

...they all forced themselves to imagine that figure with green hair waiting for them ahead, protecting them—and that was enough to keep them moving forward.

Their bodies, bloodlines, and now their wills had changed so drastically that they were like heaven and earth compared to when they first entered. They’d undergone a metaphorical rebirth inside that Trial.

At first, the princes and princesses still encouraged everyone to keep going. Hearing their words, the royal family members pushed themselves to endure.

However, at that moment, besides their own breathing and heartbeat, they couldn’t hear anything else. It was as if everyone else had vanished—as if they were alone in the abyss of death.

Then, suddenly, a light burst open ahead.

"Darian!"

Tetoya shouted with excitement. Hearing that, everyone instantly felt revitalized. Darian was waiting for them up ahead—exactly as they’d imagined him in their minds.

*Buzz*

Everyone ran toward him, feeling the space hum around them before a spatial channel opened up ahead.

"Let’s go."

Darian spoke calmly, and everyone’s faces lit up. Without hesitation, they rushed forward and crossed through.

In the next instant, space twisted—and they all reappeared inside the royal castle, in the underground hall beneath planet Vadise.

"We... we’re really out?!"

Many murmured similar things. They could barely believe what they were seeing. They’d gone through that terrifying, impossible Trial—and returned alive, without a single casualty.

"Excellent, you’ve finally come back!" As soon as they appeared, they heard an old voice. In a corner of the hall, they saw the oldest Elder of the royal family waiting for them. "You must hurry to the battlefield. The planet is in crisis!"

Hearing that, everyone’s hearts trembled, and they quickly set aside the joy of having returned.

"Elder Zunne, what’s the current situation? Where are the Emperor and the Matriarch?" Zelkov asked anxiously.

The fact that they weren’t there, along with the other strong ones, made it clear that things weren’t looking good.

The Elder said seriously, "Eighteen planets have joined together in an alliance and launched their attacks. The Emperor went to the main battlefield to stop them from reaching the planet. The situation is critical. I wanted to go myself, but I’m already half in the grave, so I was left in charge of managing things here."

He looked at those thirty thousand and felt a terrifying pressure coming off each of them. It made him euphoric. He had nine rings, and those youths only seven. But thanks to their draconic bloodline and the new power they’d gained, he was sure they could fight eight-ringers, maybe even nine-ringers from weaker planets. They’d all be a huge boost, but...

"Our chances of winning by just slugging it out are almost zero." He finished, sighing heavily.

"Brother Darian, what do we do?" Zelkov asked, and everyone turned to Darian, waiting for orders.

After that Trial, Darian had totally won their hearts — they would follow whatever he said without hesitation.

Darian turned to the Elder. "Tell me the situation. Everyone else, swallow this and rest for two hours."

He nodded, and thousands of pills appeared in the air, each pulsing with a pure, terrifying power. They were pills from the Heavenly World, made to fully restore ordinary energy. Sure, they didn’t recharge ring power, but everyone had spent days in that dark place without using their rings, so those were already mostly refilled. The real problem was mental and lineage exhaustion.

Everyone grabbed the pills, swallowed them, and sat down immediately, entering meditation to absorb the effects as fast as possible.

Seeing everyone follow Darian’s orders so earnestly shook the Elder. When Darian looked at him, he trembled and reported the situation in detail.

The Matriarch hadn’t done anything weird; she’d just positioned herself to keep a close watch, making sure the enemy Spiritual Sovereign didn’t pull any surprises. The Emperor and his army had split into dozens of fronts, fighting on nearby planets.

Even though Vadise was a high-tier planet and their soldiers’ draconic blood gave them extraordinary resilience and strength, the enemies outnumbered them by more than ten to one — and worse, most were humans.

That meant a huge variety of classes and blessings, making their forces totally unpredictable; unlike beasts, who basically just fought with brute force.

To make things worse, the army leaders were from the Wube family. Thanks to that fearsome Spiritual Technique, they could focus curses onto the most powerful beasts, making the situation even more terrible.

What annoyed him most was that on Vadise itself, countless people were fanning the flames — spreading rumors and encouraging betrayals against the royal family.

In a crisis, scoundrels always show up first. The Elder and the Matriarch were focused on finding who and which families were involved. But the whole planet was in chaos — the enemy pressed forward, and more than a third of Vadise’s soldiers had fallen in just a few days.

Right now, they were like a dam holding back a river; the rebels were like termites eating away at the structure, opening huge holes.

Darian heard it all without surprise.

The Matriarch had always seemed to be planning something for a long time, and now Vadise’s army looked like it was just defending, as if waiting for something... precisely, for him.

After the report, Darian pulled three fist-sized crystals from his inventory. One was black, one golden, and the third a plain crystal commonly sold in Vadise.

The Elder felt the spatial fluctuations and recognized them: they were communication artifacts, pairs meant to exchange messages across any distance in the universe.

Darian sent three messages and got replies almost instantly.

At that moment, all the others woke up after the two hours of recovery.

"Brother Darian, let’s go to the battlefield!" Zelkov said, worried about his mother, who was surely fighting.

"We’ll go to the battlefield. But not where everyone is fighting," Darian replied calmly.

"Then where are we going?" Tetoya asked, and everyone looked at him, confused.

"We’re going to strike the hive."

"WHAT? You want to attack Runedell? That’s insane!" the Elder exclaimed, terrified.

But seeing the eyes of those thirty thousand shining like stars and their fists clenched in excitement, he realized there was no fear or doubt among them.

Darian nodded, satisfied. "We’ll destroy their imperial city and wipe out that family."
