Chapter 454: Change of Order

The whole battle had lasted less than three minutes. The immortal half-elf only managed to attack a few times before being caught off guard and intercepted. Then, the opening created by the immortal Demoness allowed for that perfect assassination.

Darian slowly pulled out the dagger, his expression completely calm and indifferent.

The immortal’s lifeless body fell from the sky. Darian moved quickly to catch Caliris, holding her in the air.

She was extremely weak, and her soul had only a single trace of energy left. If she weren’t an immortal, she would’ve already died from that damage. But somehow, she held on by a thread.

The two landed on the ground, and Painita rushed over with an indescribable expression. Darian didn’t even look at her — he was running out of time.

Pulling out several materials from his inventory, he moved all their soul energy and manipulated it, fusing everything inside the Demoness.

Painita and Aurix came closer, watching with wide eyes. Was he really manipulating that power to heal her? Normally, only that immortal and others of her demonic race could do something like that. Manipulating such energy was already hard — actually restoring someone with it should’ve been a slow and costly process.

But... Darian simply suppressed the energy and pushed it into her, invading her mental sea directly. That was the most vulnerable place for anyone — like opening the door to your house and letting someone walk in, fully able to destroy everything and kill you on the spot.

No one would ever allow another being to invade that place... but thanks to the slave seal, Caliris had no defense against Darian. When she received that energy, she absorbed it instinctively, restoring her soul at incredible speed.

She took a deep breath, and her pale face quickly began to regain its color.

Seconds passed, and then, after about a minute and a half... the skies around the planet changed.

Out of the void, a prison of pulsating runes appeared, covering everything and sealing the entire planet. It was a formation created with immortal power.

The four of them looked up and saw three figures appear.

At the center stood a man who looked human. But... he was disturbingly striking and beautiful. Almost two meters tall, with a well-built body that wasn’t overdone, wearing light silver armor. His hair was short and golden, and his eyes shone with different colors in a magical way. At the same time, he radiated a white aura that felt sacred.

Darian’s eyes widened.

The bloodline of that figure gave him an ancient feeling, similar to the Chromaraic, Aberrant, and Fiendgod races he had encountered in that other world. That wasn’t a human — nor any common race among the universes.

That alone confirmed his suspicion: this was something implanted into the universe by Heaven’s Will. And feeling the power inside that man, Darian noticed a faint connection with something within himself... his primordial core.

"An Alv..." Darian murmured, remembering that race because of that book.

The Alvs were an ancient race connected to the Laws of the universes, similar to a Primordial Beast. They looked humanoid, but had no connection to the Chromaraics.

The main trait of that race was their absolute control over all forms of energy... they had affinity and mastery over everything, and could even create a bit of chaotic power by burning their bloodline.

That race was extremely rare, born only in high-level universes — and even there, finding one was nearly impossible.

"That’s the immortal from Grandmist Planet, number one in the universe. His name is Reignar," Painita muttered, her gaze sharp.

Beside that immortal stood a massive man who looked like a red orc.

But he had two horns on his head, and his entire body was covered in small runes, almost like scales. The aura he released carried raw violence and power. And clearly, he had no real connection to humanoid orcs.

Darian knew that race too. They weren’t on the same level as the Alvs, but were still a powerful race — the Oni. That race was also connected to the book’s history, and for one to appear in this nearly dead universe was impossible — which meant it too had been implanted here long ago.

’Damn it... you threw all these powerful races into this universe, and almost all of them turned evil... and now I’ve gotta deal with it all?’ Darian thought, feeling tense.

Aside from Aurix’s Charming Eyes Race, so far every other implanted race had been intoxicated by power, doing anything to get more — and thus, became his targets.

Darian could feel that even when he reached nine rings or became an immortal, the power of these beings couldn’t be underestimated for even a second.

Lastly, the third immortal was a tall, slender humanoid female figure, with all the traits of a beautiful Elf, wearing a yellowish dress. But that was a disguise — she was, in truth, a Demonic Beast.

This one, Darian recognized from outside the book. She belonged to a Beast race called Harrier. When he had been in that other universe and saved the World Tree, Athven, he had fought against traitors among the Spiritual Guardians — and their leader came from planet number seven of the universe, ruled by the Harrier race.

Painita was the youngest and weakest Spiritual Sovereign among the seven immortals, but planet Vadise was currently ranked number five in the universe.

All this happened because, with Painita’s support and her Spiritual Technique, plus the dragon blood of those beasts, they got a ridiculous boost. Comparing the power level of the planets’ inhabitants, the gap was huge. Since immortals didn’t fight each other, Painita being weaker didn’t matter. So, in no time, planet Vadise climbed the ranks, overtaking two others.

The three newcomers’ expressions changed immediately.

"What the hell..." Reignar muttered coldly.

They focused on the half-elf’s lifeless body on the ground, completely stunned.

There were three other immortals there, and they could’ve teamed up to kill him, but doing that in just a few minutes... and still leaving the planet basically intact, was totally impossible.

"Let’s cut the chatter." Darian’s emotionless voice rang out suddenly.

The three turned to him at once, their eyes flashing subtly.

Then their faces shifted again — this time to shock.

"Is this real? He’s a missionary?!" the woman asked seriously, looking at Reignar.

He nodded, taking a breath. "Yes... no doubt."

At that moment, every gaze sharpened like blades, fixed on the group on the ground.

Darian kept a half-smile as he stared at them. "I’ll get straight to the point. From today on, all the rules and ’order’ you’ve been imposing will change."

"Brat missionary! You’re still way too weak to say anything in front of us!" the Oni snarled.

"What a naive, ridiculous human. Change our order? Hahaha." The woman let out a short laugh.

Suddenly, the whole atmosphere shifted — a dense soul power froze the space around the three. Everyone snorted, staring at the Demoness.

"Dare say that again, Haekla..." Caliris spat coldly, glaring up at that Harrier.

Painita’s heart was racing, caught completely off guard again and again. But when she saw Darian’s serious look, she understood he’d planned all this. And... that he was counting on her to make it work.

She took a deep breath but didn’t calm down. In fact, once she was sure Darian was a missionary, she was convinced he was going to start total chaos across the universe and change everything. Still... she didn’t expect it to happen so soon. Even so, she’d back him no matter what.

Aurix watched the three sharply, without any intention of backing down. His race had only been allowed to exist in this world thanks to the pity of Heaven’s Will. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

They’d been given a new home in this universe and direct teachings and warnings: if they dared step out of line, even a little, getting drunk on power again, that invincible entity would end everything forever.

Everyone of the Charming Eyes Race was born with that in mind, and they set extremely strict internal rules. If any of them acted wrongly, the whole race would cease to exist. That’s why there were more than a few cases where the race itself exterminated its most brilliant and powerful figures — precisely because those people fed ambitions bigger than they should have.

So that race was very serious and knew its place perfectly, clearly understanding why they’d been left in that universe. They were supposed to live in peace, be grateful for the second chance they’d been given, and act as true Spiritual Guardians, protecting other universes.

"Screw what you three think about this," Darian said calmly, looking at them.

"I’m officially announcing: the four of us are uniting and forming an alliance isolated from the rest of the universe. Our territories and races will merge into one thing, we’ll have our own internal rules — and if you dare interfere in our territories... be ready for the consequences."
