Damned Healer-Chapter 457: Clean And Organize
Darian turned to Painita. She looked at him and said calmly, "I’ll handle everything here. Bring her back quickly."
Darian nodded, then moved toward the army that had come from his clan.
Everyone there had between seven and eight rings. They looked at Darian — some were thrilled to see him, others completely frozen.
That army was made up of the five hundred people who had survived the previous disaster in the clan. Among them were the first one hundred and fifty he’d taught the "Spiritual Technique." Darian spotted Waverly among them — she’d stayed with Damon’s spirit; luckily, both had survived.
Fortunately, all the people he knew from that time — like Veyle, Matteo, and Harper — had received that technique and survived. They were all there, looking at him with excitement.
Behind them, Darian saw many elves and beasts. Among them were Udynes and Barod, who had brought these people from their planets. Lucius explained that they were active members of the clan and had come to help, even though they lived on other planets.
He also said that Irana and the planet Aethel acted like the Amazon Sentinels clan — allies for life and death. But since the situation had happened so suddenly, Irana couldn’t come because she was on an S-Rank mission with her people.
Lucy explained that, on Earth, over the years, the Aeternum Atlantis Empire, Celestial Order, and Polar Circle had all exploded in power — obviously because of the things Darian had given them.
Right now, they were on the same level as the Solar Federation Empire — maybe even above, though it was hard to be sure. So, moving powerful people from those empires would definitely attract attention, and since the Wube family was always watching, they came on their own.
Not that it was necessary. Just the people from that clan were strong enough to turn the tide in a fight against top-tier individuals from the universe who had eight or nine rings.
That was because the Heroic Shadows were extremely hard to deal with. They didn’t have ring limits since they attacked directly at the enemy’s soul.
That kind of attack was terrifying if someone didn’t know how to defend using their soul, too. Even if the shadows used their partners’ lower-ring power to attack, if someone with nine rings didn’t defend with everything, they could be killed instantly.
Besides, even if the enemies managed to defend and counterattack with artifacts or blessings, the Heroic Shadows never truly died while their partners were alive. They just vanished temporarily, but could be summoned again by burning a bit of their partner’s soul power.
The soul and ring power consumption for Summoners wasn’t as high as it looked, and they still had a massive stock of high-level pills and potions made by Veyle to recover fast.
Lucius explained that part proudly and exchanged a discreet glance with Veyle. According to him, the whole Earth was now known for having a top-tier Alchemist. Requests for pills were constantly sent to Veyle — and since clients provided the materials, she never lacked resources for training.
In short, as long as the one hundred and fifty Summoners stayed back and safe, even much stronger people with nine rings would burn through all their energy before managing to exhaust the Summoners’ power.
Of course, they also had backup plans — B and C — in case someone managed to reach the Summoners. That’s why they had gathered the entire clan, even though there were only one hundred and fifty Summoners among them.
Darian nodded proudly. Then he turned to Cyaos: "Good work."
Thanks to him, his clan on Earth had been warned without drawing attention, allowing them to come and help in this battle. Since he posed no threat to the half-elf immortal, that guy hadn’t even bothered to check where Cyaos went after leaving Vadise.
Cyaos bowed eagerly. "Thank you, Sir. I’ll do my best to help."
"Great." Darian turned to him and to all the elves and beasts. "Unfortunately, you can’t enter or interfere on Earth for a while. Everyone, go back to your planets. In seven days, head to the Divine Protection Universe. We’ll meet there. Cyaos, you already know where to go, right?"
The human nodded excitedly. All the elves and beasts nodded too, then activated their spatial artifacts and left quickly.
Finally, Lucy took out a spatial artifact, opening a channel to Earth. Darian took a deep breath and stepped in. After that, everyone from Earth followed him.
---
Before Darian, a small blue planet appeared, making him stop to gaze at it. Deep emotions surged inside him. No matter how problematic and hard his life there had been, that was still his home — the place he wanted to be.
He took a deep breath and murmured, "I’ll clean up and organize this place properly soon."
Lucy and Lucius smiled slightly, excited as well. Soon, everyone entered the atmosphere calmly.
The twins and the others had seven rings or more, so they could float, going in and out of the planet easily, thanks to that power. Of course, they were still slow, and the energy cost was high. They couldn’t compare to people with space or mobility blessings.
At that moment, they looked at Darian and realized he still had the same four rings as before. But he didn’t need any help — and wasn’t even using artifacts.
Then they noticed a faint grayish aura surrounding him, like a cloak. Seeing that, they felt something strange and confused, but they knew he’d explain it later.
Darian smiled slightly. He only had four rings, but those ten years hadn’t been wasted. With the power of chaos, aside from combat strength, he could do way more than someone with nine rings.
If he’d stayed on Earth, maybe he’d already have nine rings. But he definitely wouldn’t have even a third of the potential he had now.
Now, when he finally reached nine rings... even he got a little scared thinking about it. Probably not even immortals could deal with him directly.
They all slowly headed toward the Atlantic Ocean, descending over a tropical continent in the middle of it, covered by dense forest.
As soon as they landed and entered the capital of the Aeternum Atlantis Empire, they saw a green-haired woman rushing toward them like lightning.
Camille came to greet them, excited — and when she saw Darian, her eyes trembled. She ran to him and hugged him tightly.
After a few seconds, she let go, her face showing pain. "Brat... you really came back..."
Darian sighed heavily.
It must’ve been hard for her too. She’d lost her daughter, her grandson, and now, after what the Wube family had done to Lucy and Lucius, she’d probably finally accepted that her granddaughter, Mellory, was an enemy who needed to be killed.
"It’s alright. Ten years isn’t much for us — or for you..." Darian murmured.
She looked at him seriously. "The hell, are you calling me old?!"
"..." Darian saw her sharp look and went quiet.
She huffed, staring into his eyes, but soon her expression softened with concern. "Ten years, for people as young as you, is a lot of time. Don’t lie to yourself or try to hide your pain... it looks like you’ve been through a lot and got used to pretending you don’t care about anything."
Darian swallowed hard. Yeah, he’d had to fight and keep going, even when he was completely broken inside. He just kept piling it all up, never stopping. If it weren’t for Niara helping him back then, he couldn’t even imagine getting back up and returning so soon.
"Come home," Camille said, holding his arm and gently pulling him along. Lucy and Lucius followed behind, their eyes full of worry too.
When they reached the entrance, Darian stopped and said quickly, "I need to talk to Haruto right away. You’ve got contact with the Celestial Order Empire, right?"
Camille nodded. "My relationship with them’s pretty friendly. Don’t worry — tomorrow we’ll throw a party to celebrate your return. The Celestial Order Empire and the Polar Circle will come to see you."
Darian walked in and was taken to a private room. There, Camille brought him all the files about what had happened on Earth over the past ten years. She knew Darian liked that sort of thing and saw a spark light up in his eyes.
He stored everything away, then turned to the others.
"I came back about two months ago. But I had to go to Vadise to help Niara. I brought her with me, but that borrowed body can’t be used anymore..."
Darian explained her situation over the years, but didn’t have the courage to say what he had *really* gone to Vadise for. He just cut the topic short, saying he’d gone there for that Draconic Trial. Then he showed them his greatest reward — the egg with her reborn body.
’Dan! That’s amazing!’
Niara saw the egg and listened excitedly, but only Darian could hear her voice. She’d always heard about that Draconic Trial, but the Matriarch never took anyone there when she was still a princess.
Knowing he’d gone all the way and gotten the ultimate prize didn’t surprise her, but seeing what he’d done — bringing back the body she’d used for so long — made her emotional.
Then, finally, Darian explained everything that had happened in that immortal conflict.
Camille turned pale as she listened. Immortals were beings she’d never even dreamed of seeing in person — they were far beyond her reach. But Darian went on...
"Wait, what?! Did I hear that right? One of them *died*?" Camille’s eyes went wide.
Darian snorted. "Yeah. Lucky break — that idiot was using my bow." He showed the bow that belonged to Nayara and that he’d brought back. "I knew a very specific detail about it. So Painita, Caliris, and Aurix made it happen. It was luck, but it really did happen. Anyway..."
He went on explaining how things unfolded. This time, Camille was completely frozen, her mind in total chaos. She couldn’t even say a word anymore.
"In the end, that’s how it is. With the six immortals split, we formed two separate regiments. And for now, there’s peace. No need to worry too much about it yet." Darian finished, trying to calm her down. "It was agreed that no one from outside Earth can interfere — same goes for every planet in the universe. So, we’ll deal with our own problems here first."
After he said that, a spark of excitement lit up in Lucy’s and Lucius’s eyes. There was no trace of childishness left in them. Everyone there was an adult now, and they all understood what came next.
Once he finished explaining, Lucy and Camille moved closer to Darian, standing right beside him — one on each side. Then they waited quietly for him to speak again.
Darian let out a deep sigh and started telling them everything he’d lived through in that world, from the very beginning, back on planet Aethel.
The talk went on for hours and hours, with the three of them asking questions and listening carefully, full of curiosity.
When he got to the part about the deaths of those three Heavenly Elemental Spirits, Lucy’s and Camille’s faces twisted in disbelief. But Darian quickly skipped ahead to the end, explaining what had really happened — that he’d saved them and brought them back with him.
In the end, when they heard those people would be taken to that training universe, the twins got really excited. Those people would help populate that universe — and fight against its enemies.
After explaining everything, almost a whole day had gone by — and the welcome party was about to start.
Still, all three of them felt Darian hadn’t told them something important — about when he returned to the universe and spent nearly two months on that other random planet.
But they realized it probably had to do with Niara, and maybe he wanted to talk to her about it first. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
In the end, after hearing everything, they understood that Darian was just keeping all the painful stuff to himself. But it was just another bad habit — he wasn’t really broken inside.
He said he’d been in a bad place after those three supposedly died, but managed to recover when he felt Niara during the evolution of his soul in that world.
That made them all feel relieved. Niara really was someone they could trust. Now that he was back, he wouldn’t be alone anymore — and they were sure she’d help him whenever he needed it, just like he’d do the same for her.
