Chapter 460: Don’t Worry

Darian had a faint smirk when he heard that. "A bit faster than I expected. But even better if they’re in a hurry."

"They brought the strongest ones from the three empires — all of them with nine rings," Camille said seriously. "They’ve got some nerve threatening me in my own territory. If they want a bloody battle, they’ll get one!"

Tian Yu and Nikolai grabbed powerful artifacts, ready to summon people from their empires. Camille, right after speaking, was already preparing to send a maximum alert message.

But Darian stopped them quickly. "No need to do anything. I’ll go alone."

"What?! No way! You only have four rings — don’t be reckless!" Camille shouted.

Darian let out a light sigh. She knew very well he’d even helped kill an immortal before. He’d also told her he had some pretty abnormal survival abilities. But... Camille couldn’t stop feeling uneasy. Darian, Lucy, and Lucius were her direct descendants, and she had already lost too much.

Back in that past battle, when the clan was attacked, Camille fought Blaine and several other nine-ring figures from the New Arcadia Empire without caring about her own life. She was described as a frenzied lioness — so much so that Blaine and the others were forced to retreat, feeling real fear.

"Don’t worry. I promise I’ll come back alive and without a scratch," Darian said as gently as he could. "They’re the strongest of the three empires? Not even three nine-ring guys from the sixth planet of the universe can make me feel threatened. But..."

He looked deeply into Camille’s eyes.

"This is a great opportunity since they still think I’m not a real threat on my own. I’ll put them in their place and be right back."

He said that and turned to Tian Yu and Nikolai, who nodded back. Both had strange, doubtful looks after hearing that.

"Lucy, did you manage to make that idea from ten years ago work?" Darian asked his sister seriously.

They exchanged a silent glance, and she understood perfectly what he meant.

"Yeah, you can count on me," she said with a cold smile, then remembered something and handed him a spatial ring.

Darian took it, checked the contents, and looked satisfied. Then he walked toward the window, activated his curse, and perfectly sensed the karma of everyone in the distance. With a short huff...

"!"

Everyone at the party widened their eyes when they saw a faint multicolored aura forming around him. Camille, Tian Yu, and Nikolai tried to sense it with their powers, but...

...what they felt was like trying to look at something way beyond their level. They’d only felt something like that once before — when they sensed the aura of an immortal crossing the galaxy.

Darian jumped off the balcony, floating quickly ahead.

...

Outside the Aeternum Atlantis Empire’s continent, about thirty meters above the sea, hovered hundreds of people radiating a strong golden aura. They had been waiting in silence for a few minutes.

Their golden aura looked like flames lighting up the sea. In the middle of that full-moon night, everyone turned at the same time and saw a figure surrounded by multicolored light slowly approaching.

Mallory was holding a flying artifact, surrounded by people protecting her — including her husband.

As Darian drew closer, several other figures followed him from farther behind.

They all stayed within the continent, floating at the same height, while Darian reached the sea and approached the invaders alone.

When he was less than a hundred meters away, he stopped.

Then he looked at those people with an indifferent expression.

His gaze first passed over Blaine. Then he saw Anbon, the leader of the Red River Pact clan.

And then... his eyes met Mallory’s cold red ones. The two stared silently for a few seconds before he turned to the person beside her.

There stood a pure elf — tall, with long blond hair and an undeniably handsome face.

Darian narrowed his eyes. "Wait... Vanh didn’t have any non-human traits before..." he said out loud, looking at Mallory with doubt.

She narrowed her eyes. "You’re just a frog at the bottom of a well — you don’t even know your own lineage."

The elf beside her gave a faint smile.

"Finally, we meet, young Darian. My name is Vahlur." Darian looked at him emotionlessly, and the elf continued,

"Humans from Earth, after living long enough and reproducing within some of their empires, start developing strange traits. No one knows exactly why, but you’re a bit different from humans in the rest of the universe. Your Bloodlines aren’t dominated or suppressed when mixed with others... actually, even if you mix with powerful beasts, the child will be born with the other Bloodline completely suppressed, looking like a pure human."

It was the first time Darian had heard something like that. But indeed, he had heard before that humans with green hair and red eyes didn’t exist anywhere else in the universe.

That trait was strongly tied to the people of the Aeternum Atlantis Empire since practically everyone there developed it quickly — their children, within one or two generations living in those lands, were already born that way.

In the Aurora Coalition and Polar Circle Empires, it also happened, but much more slowly and only in a small part of the population.

Darian thought quickly... the current Heaven’s Will had lived on Earth before, and was probably the one who raised those new continents from the ocean depths. So, most likely, he was the one who created that human variation.

"I see," Darian nodded in understanding.

At that moment, Blaine spoke seriously:

"Darian. We heard you finally returned to Earth — that’s why we’re here. About your clan, you’ve probably only heard one side of the story, so we need to talk properly."

Darian gave a dry laugh, staring at him. "Another side? Heh... I’m right here, so go ahead and talk your nonsense."

"You left your clan in the hands of a traitor. His family was already condemned before, and I have proof he was plotting against my Empire," Blaine said sternly.

"Oh? Then everything’s perfect," Darian replied calmly. "I never trusted you, and I warned Leander, Lucy, and Lucius to keep an eye on you. You got lucky — they were just watching and studying your moves in case they ever had to act. If I’d been around, I would’ve taken your head before you even sensed me coming."

"YOU! I always keep my word — I promised you unconditional support before!" Blaine roared furiously.

"Support? Standing next to that bitch and that pathetic family?" Darian mocked, glancing sideways at Mallory.

The family head, Vahlur, snorted. "Young Darian... I know you got caught up in something terrible in the past. Our family disappointed you, but it wasn’t out of malice. Because of that, many misunderstandings followed..."

"Enough." Darian cut him off coldly.

"I don’t have the patience for meaningless talk. Between me and your family, only one of us gets to live. I’ll wipe every single one of you out — erase your existence completely from history."

"You arrogant brat! Someone as small as you only knows how to spit out ridiculous words — it’s almost funny," Mallory growled, not even surprised.

Darian looked at her with a faint smirk. Then, in his hand, a small, simple spatial artifact appeared.

Everyone noticed it, but it was such a low-level item that nobody cared. It took time to activate, and the power it created was unstable — easy to interrupt. There was no way he could actually escape using something like that.

Mallory scoffed and turned toward the continent far behind Darian.

There, she saw a pair of intense red eyes staring back. She smiled faintly, realizing Camille was clenching her fists so tightly that her knuckles were white.

"Grandma Camille... please, I came to talk properly with this arrogant brat. There was a misunderstanding about what happened with his clan. I just want to explain everything clearly."

At that moment, Camille clenched her fists even tighter — until blood started dripping from her palms.

She didn’t answer; she just stayed silent, looking away painfully, her gaze fixed on the back of the figure floating ahead, glowing with that living, colorful aura.

"How pathetic," Darian muttered dryly. "You came here to emotionally manipulate your grandmother and force me to listen to you? Do you think Camille’s that stupid?"

She roared, "Shut up, you ridiculous brat! My husband and my family always do what’s right. You, on the other hand, think you’re above everyone and conspired openly against your emperor. I will—"

"Yeah, yeah, you *will* tell her everything. I’ll make sure of that."

Darian interrupted calmly. In that moment, everyone saw a strange light flash in his eyes.

Then—

**Woooosh!**

"!"

In an instant, as if he’d stepped into the void, Darian vanished before everyone’s eyes.

They all froze and immediately activated their senses. But they didn’t even need a full second to find him.

Their eyes turned in perfect sync toward one direction. In the middle of them—

"Agh!"

There he was — a figure wrapped in that living, colorful aura. One of his hands was outstretched.

He was holding a woman by the neck — an ordinary, powerless woman.

"YOU! LET HER GO!" the elf roared, stunned.

Mallory had been less than five meters from him before. Darian had just disappeared like magic and grabbed her — right in the middle of a hundred nine-ring figures — without *anyone* noticing?!

Darian gave a cold snort, staring at the struggling woman in disbelief.

"Don’t worry about her... for now. She’ll get what she deserves, and after that... I’ll make sure she pays slowly."

Darian spoke each word slowly and sharply. Then, with his other hand, he pulled out another simple spatial artifact and activated it.

"NO!"

The elf shouted, but didn’t dare move. No one could attack or do anything rash — Mallory was just a powerless human; even a slight mistake would mean her instant death. Even falling from that height would kill her outright.

A moment later, Mallory was swallowed by a spatial rift and vanished completely.

It only took a few seconds for both her and the spatial ripples to fade.

Then...

Darian stood there alone — without his hostage.

At first, everyone was shocked. Did he really stay?

Then they all exhaled, and their golden auras flared brighter. Without a word, they surrounded him from every possible direction.

As for Darian...

He just clasped his hands behind his back and looked at them with an empty expression — almost mocking.
