Darian stared coldly at that figure in the sky, his mind running a thousand miles a minute as he analyzed every possible outcome.

Did he have the power to defeat that enemy? Obviously not. But... there was one possibility.

In that instant, he suddenly turned toward Niara. She spread her wings, ready to take off toward him—but when she saw his eyes, she stopped. They didn't need to say a word. She understood that he meant what he'd said — he would handle this alone.

"You're really the missionary?" the voice from above suddenly echoed.

Darian turned his gaze up, cold as ever. The figure had a clearly humanoid, masculine shape — a smooth face, white clothes, and long black hair tied back.

"So what?" he replied with disdain.

The figure narrowed his eyes. "Only five rings, yet everywhere you go, disaster follows. So the legends were true... interesting. I'll capture you alive — the Celestial Divinity Shadow will be pleased."

"Pretty confident, huh?" Darian said calmly, then made a slight gesture.

All the black domain around him twisted and sank back into his body. At the same time, three daggers floated beside him, and Lucy appeared at his side.

All the survivors who'd been trapped inside that domain felt something fade from their bodies and minds. Only then did they realize that the moment they'd foolishly stepped into that area, they'd signed their own death sentence.

Now that strange power had vanished, the thousands behind finally had the chance to strike him down. They moved slowly, closing in on Darian from all sides. There was no way out now.

But no one dared attack yet, not with that figure hovering above — they all knew he wanted to take the glory for himself.

That alone showed how high his status was. Unlike the Black Blooded — the trash of the race — the Golden Blooded were worshiped, seen as the absolute pinnacle.

The White Blooded stood somewhere in the middle — they had potential, but they knew they could never compare to the Golden ones.

"Well, since you're that confident..." Darian said slowly, gripping Awel tightly. "Let's see if you can survive a casual strike from me. You dare?"

Just one look was enough for Darian to figure out what kind of person that figure was — probably born with average talent among the Golden Blooded, but here, surrounded by the White ones, he was admired like a god. He finally felt important — and it showed in his arrogance.

Would he tolerate being looked down on in front of everyone? Obviously not.

The figure snorted coldly, not moving an inch.

"Come. I'll let you strike once."

Everyone around — the White Blooded — swallowed hard, nervous. Their higher-ups had been clear: *never underestimate the missionary; always attack with everything you've got.*

But who would dare go against that man's words?

Lucy smirked inwardly. It didn't matter the race or the place — whenever one group saw itself as superior, stupid situations like this always followed. Divide and rule — the perfect recipe for chaos and destruction. It was the same on Earth, and now this race was proving it once again — with an idiot handing Darian the chance to turn the tables.

Darian let out a cold snort.

In that very second, silence fell. The space around him began to crack apart.

The dagger in his hand pulsed with a terrifying light. He didn't hesitate — he swung upward, and the world lost its color.

*Blinding Break.*

A massive blade of light tore through the skies, carrying the power of wind and mind intertwined. A piercing screech echoed, making the weaker ones dizzy.

Darian was thrilled — Awel had managed to merge his wind power into Blinding Break, giving it even more speed and a sharper, deadlier edge. Tir and Eleri probably had that same potential, though theirs would manifest in unique ways.

The core of the attack's power came from what little mental force was left from the Divine Flame of the Mind — the same one that had sustained his black domain. Darian had poured it all into this one strike.

The Golden Blooded's eyes went wide.

He felt death right in front of him — real and solid. The massive blade rose, stretching all the way up as if it could slice the very heavens in two; and he... he was just in the way.

He roared, unleashing all his strength at once. Running wasn't an option. No way he'd accept that he couldn't block it. The whole sky turned blinding gold.

**BOOM!**

When the strike hit, the golden horizon shattered instantly, like glass. Then came a violent explosion that warped the air itself.

Chaos reigned for several seconds before everything slowly began to settle. Then...

Everyone's jaws dropped.

High above, they saw a blood-soaked figure, slashed from shoulder to leg — a full third of his body was gone.

His face was twisted in pain, his aura weak — the kind of weakness that came only from brushing death itself. The rest of his kind looked on in disbelief — he'd clearly sacrificed a large portion of his body to survive, or he would've been obliterated completely.

"Wow! You actually survived one of my casual attacks, huh? Impressive! Guess you really are worthy of that Golden Blood title!"

Darian's mocking voice echoed. Everyone turned toward him, terrified. What kind of power was that? Could he really kill them all that easily?

"KILL HIM! ALL OF YOU, ATTACK!!"

The bloody figure in the sky roared, spitting more blood.

Everyone obeyed instantly. Lucy stepped forward, shoulder to shoulder with Darian, her expression tense. Darian snorted, eyes sharp, gripping Tir and Eleri in both hands.

But deep down... he was almost laughing. His plan had worked.

'Tir, Eleri, protect my sister with everything you've got.'

Both daggers trembled in response, pulsing with earth and ice power pushed to the limit. They floated gently toward Lucy, and she caught them.

*BUZZ*

The whole world trembled, and the horizon lit up with blinding multicolored lights. Hundreds of thousands of White Blooded figures unleashed their full power, readying a massive, unstoppable joint attack.

The Black Blooded were beings specialized in concentrated, explosive power — pure brute force. They evolved fast through the circles, if not for the limitations of the Array. But once they reached nine circles, that same speed came with a cost, making them far weaker than usual.

The White Blooded, on the other hand, evolved slower, absorbing natural energies from the environment. In the end, they became more stable and powerful. That affinity with natural energy also granted them control over every element and great skill in manipulating space-time.

So now, every single one of them attacked using their elemental affinities, from all directions, giving Darian no room to dodge.

All their focus was locked on that terrifying figure on the ground.

In that moment, Darian's eyes and body changed. A pure gray energy surrounded him, expanding outward.

He released all the power from his Primordial Core at once. He couldn't activate his Primordial Physique since he wasn't in his real body, but with the chaotic power from the core in his soul, he could still use many techniques — including the Chaos Celestial Armor, which had once reached its peak level.

The main strength of the Chaos Celestial Armor was nullifying all energies and elements, drastically reducing their damage. After all, from the power of Chaos came every other form of energy in existence.

That trait had been built into his Primordial Physique later, enhanced even further. But even now, using just this lesser version, it was still insanely powerful.

"ATTACK!!!"

It took less than twenty seconds before that man roared the command, and everyone unleashed their full strength.

Darian leaped upward, his body completely covered by the Chaos Armor. A storm of devastating attacks tore through space toward him.

On the ground, Lucy was wrapped in a barrier of Ice and Earth, formed by Tir and Eleri using everything they had.

And when all those attacks hit Darian...

Nothing exploded!

He looked like he was trapped inside a multicolored sun pressing down on him. His face cracked with strain, but his white energy flared to the limit, forcing him to stay alive for a moment longer, healing him even as more cracks spread.

Niara and the others, watching from afar, stared wide-eyed. He'd managed to block it — but only for a single heartbeat. It was obvious he couldn't hold on and would eventually blow apart.

Indeed.

But...

Darian only needed that brief instant. He activated his elemental domain and managed to seize control of a third of that power. Then, with a motion of his hand, he released it in all directions, fusing it with the rest and triggering an apocalyptic chain reaction.

The entire enemy army froze. Death itself seemed to embrace them, its icy scythe already brushing against their throats.

**KBOOOM!!**

The explosion was so overwhelming that even the distant allies were thrown back, coughing blood.

Niara pushed her physical power to the limit to withstand it, watching as a massive wave of destruction devoured the entire enemy army.

They were completely caught off guard — their energies were supposed to detonate in a controlled, focused blast at Darian. They would've been affected, sure, but only lightly.

This time, though, everything went out of control. The energy expanded violently, swallowing them whole. They didn't even have time to scream — every one of them burst apart in an instant, and the powerful Golden Blooded, already wounded, vanished as if turned to dust.

On the ground, Lucy felt like she was being swallowed by a vortex. The Earth and Ice shields shattered and reformed dozens of times at terrifying speed, as Tir and Eleri poured every last bit of energy they had to protect her.

Thankfully, Darian had done everything he could to reduce the pressure heading downward. She probably only took about thirty percent of the force that hit in other directions.

By the time Tir and Eleri's energy finally ran out, almost everything had already faded. Lucy was badly injured, but her healing power kicked in fast — it wasn't a problem.

The space around them stayed chaotic and warped for several minutes...

When it finally stabilized, the surviving allied soldiers rushed back — only to find nothing but emptiness.

Hundreds of thousands of enemies had been completely erased.

"Where's Boss Darian?!" Zelkov shouted, panicking.

Everyone searched, but it was obvious — since he'd been the center of the explosion, he had probably been wiped out as well.

Their eyes turned to Niara, who watched calmly. Slowly, she turned toward them and smiled.

"You really think anything in this world could kill him? Dan just loves putting on a show." Her words sounded strange, leaving everyone silent.

Until...

A white light appeared in the sky like a star.

Everyone's eyes widened, focusing on that point... and then, an ethereal figure began to take shape before them.

In seconds, Darian was alive again.

He took a deep breath, looked around, then glanced down — seeing Lucy a bit dizzy, but safe and sound.

'Without my real body, I lose a lot of combat power... but it's perfect for suicidal stuff — and I can still come back without worry.' Darian thought calmly.

He'd definitely keep this form — his ethereal body, as he'd call it from now on — the little Dragon body he'd cultivated in this universe.

His ethereal body was now his fourth great weapon, alongside his three daggers. It worked perfectly with the resurrection power of his curse.

If he'd been in his real body and died, he would've lost everything — only his soul would've returned. But with the ethereal body, everything turned out fine in the end. Even with its power limits, it opened up entirely new possibilities for him.
