Suddenly, Darian realized that everything around him was frozen.

Time had stopped. The people beside him had turned to stone. Inside the barrier, everyone was still staring at them with disdain, as if they had already won. Even the energy flowing through the barrier was completely still.

Darian asked seriously, "Who are you?"

"I'm just a remnant of will. The only one who can still talk to you. When I was alive, they called me the Deity of the Rainbow Cranes," that soft voice answered.

Darian watched the light of the barrier shift suddenly. It looked like strips of fabric; they condensed into the form of a beautiful Crane with multicolored feathers. It was a creature that naturally gave off a familiar feeling. It had no predator aura, and it wouldn't make anyone uncomfortable.

Only the two of them could move. The moment it formed, that figure's gaze locked onto Darian, evaluating him.

Darian felt clear hostility in that look. It lasted only a second before disappearing.

It wasn't surprising; it was obvious he was a Missionary. And she, along with the other two deities, had lived through a war full of enormous losses—ending with their own deaths—because of another missionary.

The eyes of that Rainbow Crane shifted to the figures near Darian. In that instant, her aura softened, as if she had seen something surprising.

"... my race is doing so much better than the last time I saw them... no, the difference is like heaven and earth. And also... you united the other two, and even brought the other races of the universe together..." the voice murmured, sounding shocked.

Darian didn't respond; she could see everything in them. Across all the other Conventions, she had been able to observe the decline of her race and everyone else.

"You're very different from him," her gaze returned to Darian. "Can I ask you for something?" 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

"Go ahead," Darian said directly.

"This Convention. If you were sent here, then you probably already know... that missionary... I don't know how, but he survived..."

She explained that, in the final battle, the three deities managed to burn away all the energies in his body and even severely injure his soul. They sacrificed themselves to do it, believing at the time that it would guarantee his death along with theirs.

But... he was a missionary. All missionaries had Divine techniques, created in the ancient past, when many deities existed.

"I don't know much, because I'm trapped here. But he clearly built this so-called Convention, pushing the races to constantly send people to win things. No one noticed, but slowly, the number of deaths rose every single cycle. This smells like some kind of demonic absorption technique... probably part of a plan to revive himself."

Darian listened and nodded. Runar had also come to this universe at the orders of his mother, who was connected to the wife of the current Heaven's Will. It definitely had to do with that vengeful missionary. He would probably try to prevent the missionary from rising again, but this figure knew nothing about him.

That figure looked at Darian with a pleading expression: "Please, save our races. If he comes back... he'll definitely invade the universe and wipe out all the Heavenly Beasts. He promised that during the war."

Darian snorted. That missionary had fallen completely into darkness and was a disgrace to everyone, including Heaven's Will.

Seeing Darian's indifferent expression, she continued quickly: "It was our fault. That Demoness died tragically because we neglected our subordinates. But I tried with all my strength to calm him..."

"It's fine. No matter what happened between you all, he shouldn't have started a war between two universes. I came here to end this," Darian said indifferently.

The karma that the missionary must have accumulated from all this was unbelievable. Even if he revived, Heaven's Will would send Meru to kill him immediately to avoid the worst. But Darian arrived first, and that was certainly a huge opportunity for him.

"The other two also left their wills inside this place, right?" Darian asked, his eyes shining.

"Yes. But they've already lost almost all the little strength they had. They still exist, but they can't speak anymore." The figure answered, fully understanding his intentions.

"We managed to create this place and leave a remnant of will because our greatest treasure wasn't completely destroyed. It's broken and fragmented, but we can give it all to you. Also, we kept an Immortal Bloodline Rune from our bodies here... but that won't be useful to you... or to our race's people. They've decayed so much that none of them could handle something like that."

Darian listened thoughtfully. The figure continued explaining in more detail.

The three deities had only reached the immortal level because they managed to create a variation of a Divine technique. It was a technique called *Primordial Bead*, partially found in some ruins by an unknown person.

Darian understood. This universe must have been one of the many where Heaven's Will had been worshiped as a deity in the distant past. Back then, he left behind many Divine techniques for his followers. In most universes, these things disappeared over time, but sometimes remnants survived and resurfaced.

This Rainbow Crane was the first to succeed. She modified the incomplete technique, creating what was missing and adapting it for her race.

The Primordial Bead basically had the power to accumulate and perfectly fuse Qi in someone's body, while also changing their physique to become closer to something immortal. But the costs were massive.

After she created the method, she taught it to all the other Heavenly Beast races. Each Primordial Bead had to be adapted to the specific race, since every body was different.

They had to adjust it to their bodies on their own, but she was certain that it was only a matter of time before all of them succeeded.

After that, she isolated herself with her race and focused on improving herself, ignoring everything else.

That was her mistake. She shouldn't have ignored the world she lived in. Actions always had consequences, good or bad.

A few thousand years later, the Twilight Owls and the Three-Eyed Ravens succeeded. And out of pure greed, the leaders of the two races started a war against all the other Heavenly Beasts of the universe, eliminating all competition.

The Rainbow Cranes, although they didn't take part in that, felt superior to the rest of the world because they had a deity among them. Eventually, a problem arose with the Demons.

A Demoness refused to be humiliated and robbed by the Heavenly Beasts after obtaining a treasure on her own. She was terrifying and managed to fight alone, killing three important members of the three races.

Only later did they realize she was the missionary's wife, and he had given her an incredible demonic technique. In short, the races gathered to kill her in retaliation; in the end, they succeeded.

When the Deity of the Rainbow Cranes left isolation and found out what had happened, it was already too late.

Because of her complete naivety, she had not only contributed to the deaths of thousands of Heavenly Beast races, but also to the disaster involving the missionary.

He had already escaped to another universe. But when he came back, nothing she said managed to lessen his hatred. In the end, the war was inevitable.

"This version of the Primordial Bead I made isn't anywhere close to the original, but it works with any race. The problem is creating it, since it needs the power of this universe and of a Heavenly Beast. But with what's left of our three Beads, it's not hard to make a new one, and you won't have any issues. After that, you just need to adjust it for the other races. Its power doesn't just work on the user; it can benefit others too, although a bit weaker."

Darian heard everything and got excited. If he could use that perfectly, a terrifying new path would open in front of him.

"I want your Bloodline runes too." Darian didn't hesitate; he wouldn't leave anything behind.

"But..." Before she finished, he pointed to a corner.

There was a woman radiating a golden aura. Two small foxes were attacking beside her, and in her eyes, there was a hypnotic glow.

The figure's eyes changed as they focused on that woman. Only now did she notice that those foxes were also Heavenly Beasts. And also...

"What the hell... those eyes..." she murmured in shock. Just by looking at them, she felt her will tremble and weaken. The level of that power was beyond her understanding.

"Her race is pretty abnormal, don't be surprised. Czaza has an extremely high affinity with Heavenly Beasts. She's the one who helped the Rainbow Cranes improve so fast. Sure, there was help from pills, but you can speak better about your race. Her role was essential," Darian said methodically. "Anyway, I'm sure she can absorb your three Bloodline runes."

The voice fell silent, shaken by that ocular power, but she quickly thought about the consequences.

Those runes were left behind by the three. They hoped someone from their races would find them someday and absorb them. That way, they would become the successors of the Deities, gaining an abnormal power for the whole race.

But unfortunately, it took far too long to find the Divine Oasis. And when they finally entered, the three races were already too weak. It wasn't just the Rainbow Cranes that had decayed; the other two, although less visibly, had grown much weaker over the generations, their Bloodline heavily diluted.

"If she really succeeds... it'll be like a new deity being born for the three races. But this time, it'll be a single person. Are you sure you want to hand this over to someone? Is this woman trustworthy?"

Darian snorted. "I haven't known her long, but I trust her."

He had a certain confidence in the Charming Eyes Race, since he'd seen their average karma on the planet. Besides, he knew Autrix was strict and completely loyal to Heaven's Will's rules. Sure, there could be exceptions, but overall, they were reliable.

As for Czaza, she was absurdly focused and serious. She took every word Darian said literally and fulfilled it with all her will. He felt a loyalty in her that bordered on worship.

"Alright, I'll do as you want," that figure said calmly. "Wait. I'll remove them and bring you all inside. Those idiots don't deserve even a drop of our strength."

As soon as she spoke, the figure vanished. At the same time, everything returned to normal.

"What's wrong? Fight, fight! I want to see a beautiful spectacle!" Caelu's mocking voice echoed toward them.

Galteus was mocking too, pointing at the shadows approaching on the horizon. In less than two minutes, they would arrive.

Alear burst out laughing. "Hahaha... pathetic bastards, you think you've won?!"

Niara pointed and cursed at them too, but those two inside the barrier only responded with irony and arrogant smiles.

Darian turned to the two and saw them acting completely in sync, without any anxiety or fear.

Suddenly, Niara turned to him, fully confident, waiting for his orders. The trust in those amber eyes was a bit unsettling.

Darian took a deep breath and nodded, "Don't worry. They're about to leave."

"You think we're leaving? Keep dreaming!" Galteus mocked, flipping them off.

Darian stared at him without emotion. The two women, however, after hearing his words, started looking at the pair with malicious eyes.

Caelu opened her mouth with an ironic smile, but...

Her words didn't come out, and her smile vanished instantly. She was shocked to realize that the mysterious energy flowing into her body... was starting to leak out!

"What's happening?!"

It wasn't just the two of them. Everyone inside noticed the same phenomenon. The power reinforcing their Bloodline suddenly weakened and began to disappear.

No one outside knew what was happening, but seeing their expressions, everyone realized something very wrong had occurred.

Suddenly, the barrier trembled. Galteus, Caelu, and everyone else were thrown out by a terrifying force. Completely unprepared and defenseless, they spun through the air uncontrollably. However...

Galteus and Caelu were launched directly toward the three.

Alear and Niara smiled wickedly and moved with perfect synchronization.

*Slap! Slap! Slap!*

*PA!*

The slaps were smooth, almost melodic. Niara, being stronger, took Galteus. Alear handled Caelu.

The sounds echoed like thunder. It all happened fast, and their pitiful groans escaped in embarrassing tones. Both were thrown back, crashing into the ground.

Lucy opened her eyes, disturbed by the strikes, and gave a sneering smile. "Indeed, a beautiful spectacle."

The barrier was now empty. Darian didn't waste time and roared out the command. Everyone shot inside like lightning.
