Damned Healer-Chapter 572: Unleash Their Emotions
Millions upon millions of people surrounded Darian's army, which was four to five times smaller. They advanced cautiously, all of them watching every single movement Darian made.
"Hahaha!" However, seeing all those enemies closing in, Darian raised his head and laughed. "A bunch of fools. You're being used, and you accept it like it's natural. Why would you care, right? Everyone here is easy prey, not even worth wasting time on."
Everyone knew that the demonic cocoon was using something to push them into killing each other. But they did not care in the slightest. Everyone believed this was an excellent opportunity.
Darian turned to his army and spoke slowly:
"We all came to this Convention looking for a chance to become stronger, so we could protect those we care about. But those who were at your side not long ago now see you as pawns, ants, and fools. But we know that even though a person's life can be as fragile as a piece of paper, a person must live like an unshakable stone."
Everyone from the three races had eyes filled with fury. For the few Twilight Owls and Three-Eyed Ravens who had joined Darian, they felt completely abandoned by their own race.
The leaders and all the strongest of their races had simply laughed while the weakest died right in the first phase. If it were not for Darian helping them survive, they would have already become fertilizer for that cocoon. Yet he not only did that, but he also gave them everything his own people received, without any hesitation. And now, he was still fighting to protect them. They would rather die than not try to repay him.
As for the Rainbow Cranes, they knew the fate of their entire race was completely tied to Darian. The Golems and the other races felt something similar. This battle would decide everything for them. Either die trying to help him, or live and win.
Darian continued calmly: "We have fathers, mothers, siblings... in their eyes, we are not ants. We are the sun and the moon, the pride of their lives. Without us, their world would become dark. That's why we value our lives more than anyone else. And that is exactly why all of you chose to risk your lives and come to this place. Only like this can we live with dignity. Now is the time. Everyone must show their will. On the battlefield, there is no right or wrong, only victory and defeat, life and death. Anyone who wants to take our lives is an enemy, and there is only one thing to do with our enemies! Kill!"
Darian's voice grew stronger and stronger as he spoke, until it thundered inside everyone's minds.
He finally let out what had been stuck in his chest. He knew what despair was, what it meant to be weak, to go hungry, and to watch powerful people end your life without being able to do anything. Now, the situation was no different.
None of those attacking them even tried to look for another option. The moment Runar said they needed to revive that figure and that sacrifices were required, everyone drew their weapons, as if the lives of Darian's people were worthless.
Darian even had a few ideas, and maybe he could destroy this place without anyone needing to die. But faced with these malicious people, he only wanted to wipe them out.
In the next instant, the entire world turned scarlet. It was as if the bloody atmosphere was intensifying, as if foretelling something.
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
"Kill!"
Darian's army roared, resonating with his command. Lucy activated a new inscription, which linked with the hundreds of battle formations the entire army was using.
At that moment, everyone's souls seemed to connect intimately.
"Finish them!" everyone roared.
Darian was not one for speeches, but this time, he let his feelings flow with his words. He took some advantage of the mental influence coming from the cocoon, and it had a terrifying effect on his army.
That speech set their blood on fire. From that moment on, there was no fear left in their hearts, only an uncontrollable desire to fight. Since death no longer scared them, only by killing their enemies could they unleash their emotions.
*Divine Dragon Possession*
Niara roared as her body shone with overwhelming power. All the Spiritual Guardians felt as if a hammer had slammed into their chests. That was just her draconic aura. Everyone swallowed hard, a bit shaken.
"DIE!" Niara shot forward alone into the sea of enemies.
Alear remained standing near Darian, her eyes closed. She was focused on the spatial ring on her finger.
Moments later, she opened her eyes.
Inside her pupils, everything was completely black.
An absurdly terrifying Yin flowed through her body. That was the gift Darian had given her on that training planet. It was a complete death Yin, created within the body of a dead Primordial Beast.
With a single thought, millions of Yin blades, each over ten meters long, covered the skies.
If Niara had made everyone feel afraid, Alear's level of power left them utterly terrified. Even an immortal specialized in controlling Yin would not be able to forge something like that, even with the same resources she had.
That was because Alear had a special body, rebuilt and nurtured with the purest primordial power. She could control all of that with ease, and her Blessing was chosen specifically because of that possibility.
**RUMBLE!**
The battle began with Niara and Alear spreading terror and destruction through the enemy army.
Soon after, the entire army in formation, still inside an inscription commanded by Lucy, began to move.
At that moment, countless blades and offensive Blessings rushed toward Darian. They were thousands of the most powerful figures, all focusing solely on him.
They attacked with everything they had, knowing it would be difficult to actually kill him. Even so, they attacked anyway, clearly trying to buy time and distract him.
What they did not know was that Awel had already merged with the entire environment long before that. Darian had done this without them noticing, right after wiping out the previous army.
Because of this, she could see and feel everything inside that crater, down to the smallest detail. Awel and Darian could communicate mentally, and she monitored and reported everything happening on the battlefield to him.
"Ten Thousand Blades Return as One!"
Suddenly, thousands of Alvs closed in on Darian. Their leader shouted, and all of them attacked together.
Darian recognized it. That was a rare Blessing that could be used in a group. Very few of that type existed, and almost no one wanted them, because individually their power was lower than usual.
But if many chose the same type and used it together, the power multiplied to an overwhelming level.
Those thousands of blades fused into a single one. One white blade shot forward.
That blade made no sound at all. It sliced through space and advanced without any fluctuation. It was a deathly silence, like the silence that comes right before death.
Darian slowly turned his head toward them, as if he had not even noticed their terrifying attack.
There was only absolute indifference on his face.
In his hands, two shining daggers.
In his body, the four cores pulsed and connected.
The white blade closed in on Darian. He simply extended his hand forward.
All the Alvs smiled sinisterly. Despite looking subtle and showing no fluctuations, not even an immortal would be crazy enough to face head-on a joint attack from ten thousand of them. All of them had nine rings, and their Blessing had fused into a perfect strike.
But at that moment...
...for the first time, Darian fully activated his immortal physique and all of his power, holding nothing back.
**BOOM!**
A violent explosion shook the entire battlefield. All the space where Darian stood in the sky became distorted chaos.
The Alvs' eyes widened. They felt their attack power vanish completely, as if it had been swallowed by the void.
In the next second, when space stabilized again—
The world changed color. From scarlet red, everything was swallowed by a seven-colored radiance.
Darian appeared calmly in the air, staring at those Alvs with his hands behind his back. A thick aura nearly thirty meters wide surrounded him. He was like a blazing, multicolored sun illuminating the world.
At the same time, just by looking at him, everyone's souls began to tremble. It was a unique feeling, something not even the Spiritual Sovereigns could make them experience.
"It's a true Calamity-level technique... I've never seen a Missionary at the mortal level use something like this..." Runar muttered, watching everything from the skies with a shocked expression.
He recognized the origins of Darian's power, but he could not believe Darian was using it at full strength.
On the ground, at a safe distance from the center of the battle,
The people of the Wube family stood beside the Three-Eyed Ravens. They stared up at Darian with tense expressions.
A human from Earth who was leading them commanded, "Quick! We have to use it now! He's distracted, this is perfect!"
