Almost at the same time, Darian realized that Veyle also noticed something strange. As an alchemist, she was experienced in sensing fluctuations, as well as dealing with all kinds of natural phenomena and their energies.

She looked at the others around her and then, using all her focus, noticed something hidden seeping into them.

It was the water element in a gaseous form. Something very close to the Blessing she herself used. It was infiltrating everyone, and she felt a subtle soul power mixed into it. It was a hidden and sinister Magical Technique.

"A spiritual attack!" she exclaimed quickly.

Lucius and Lucy widened their eyes. They hadn't noticed anything. Not even the Soul Eater demons had perceived it, and they specialized in soul power. That was one of the abilities of the water element, hiding everything from common sense.

Seeing this, Darian let out a deep sigh of relief. Thankfully, all the effort and investment in Veyle over the years had always paid off. She was talented, but her effort and hard work were even greater.

Lucius gave orders immediately. In the next moment, all the Soul Eater demons roared, activating their Bloodlines to the maximum.

That world instantly became clear and bright.

"Wake up!"

The sharp shout of the demons echoed, startling everyone. In that instant, everyone saw something being expelled from their bodies, leaving them terrified.

But there was no time for anything else.

"Careful!" Lucy shouted harshly.

The lightning beasts had some intelligence. The moment everyone lost focus, they launched powerful attacks.

But thanks to Lucy's warning, those without strong defenses fled, and the Tanks moved to cover them. Besides hidden powers, the lightning beasts possessed raw, explosive, and fast strength. This was a terribly complex battle, with all kinds of enemies at the same time.

"Kill!"

Everyone entered a battle flow and roared. They no longer dared to be even slightly careless.

When the Spiritual Guardians took the fight seriously, using all their strength in well-balanced groups, they managed to keep the situation stable. Blessings were incredible things when used properly. Another important reason was that, with every enemy killed, they absorbed everything and felt their bodies rise. An immense ecstasy took over, making them keep up the pace.

Watching from afar, to Darian, Niara, and Alear, it was like seeing a sea of five-colored lightning. The Spiritual Guardians dove into that sea, creating massive waves and absorbing everything at the same time.

As time passed, more and more lightning beasts appeared, becoming increasingly stronger.

At first, they were only at the level of someone with nine mid-tier rings. Later, as new ones kept appearing, their power had already reached the peak of someone with nine rings.

With every second, the battle became harder to endure. These enemies only grew stronger and still possessed all kinds of abilities, granting them immense destructive power.

"Why are these lightning beasts so powerful?!" someone roared amid the chaos.

Several people were being seriously injured, but they recovered and returned, only to be injured again.

Fortunately, everyone had recovery pills, and there were also many supports, like Lucy and Lucius, who could heal almost immediately, just like Darian.

If it weren't for the support squad in the rear helping them recover, everything would have collapsed long ago.

"It won't work." Lucius said seriously, turning to Lucy.

She nodded in understanding. "Form the formation!"

She hadn't planned to use it now, because it would consume their resources, and she felt this was still far from over. But if they kept fighting like that, they would be defeated.

After her shout, everyone entered formation. Then Lucy activated the inscription, connecting everyone. She had a spatial ring on her finger, packed with things, but every few seconds, she had to take something out and consume something with great power.

The pressure immediately dropped, and dealing with the lightning beasts became much easier.

Only the two hundred strongest from the first group fought alone. Those lightning beasts were incapable of injuring them. They stayed in the outer regions, controlling the rhythm of the battle on their own.

Six full hours passed.

The lightning beasts had become so powerful that they reached a level slightly above someone with nine rings. Fortunately, their numbers had dropped to just a few hundred.

At that point, all the Spiritual Guardians were already far above the conventional power of nine rings. Thanks to the inscription and everyone's organization, no one has died so far.

This celestial trial was truly terrifying. Everyone's bodies had already been completely nurtured, and all of them had reached the semi-immortal level.

However, even after strengthening themselves, they were still at the limit of being overwhelmed.

"Careful! The lightning beasts are getting stronger again!" Tetoya warned suddenly.

"Heavens, there are more than ten... a-all of them at the immortal level?!" a human exclaimed, stunned.

Everyone watched as those ten beasts descended from the skies. Their auras emitted a subtle but very clear immortal power. That was enough to terrify mortals to death.

"Maybe this is the final wave. Release all your strength!" Lucius shouted.

When the enemies approached the army, space was shattered, and the ground was torn apart. There was no common power capable of blocking their attacks.

Part of the army was deeply shaken, almost in despair. Even the runes of the inscription began to break apart. If the formation and the inscription were destroyed, how could they fight?

But...

"NOW!!"

Lucius commanded. Then, at the same time, all 4,230 humans from Earth roared in unison.

At that instant, shadows flowed out of their bodies. Then, a second secret army emerged and attacked the lightning beasts.

Those nearly three hundred from the army that came from outside Earth forgot to breathe. Most had already heard about the Magical Technique Darian had publicly announced many years ago. But for a long time, only a few hundred people could use it.

But now... there were thousands of them.

**BOOM!**

Countless lightning beasts crashed into the Heroic Shadows, shattering them. However, everyone below poured power from their rings into those partners.

In the next instant, the shadows materialized again. Then they attacked with everything once more, in the most brutal and suicidal way possible.

The lightning beasts couldn't advance.

That gave the army a precious breather. When that shield of shadows broke, the army's formation and inscription had already recovered, and Lucy had switched to something even more powerful.

"Kill!"

The strongest of the army attacked simultaneously, taking advantage of the moment when the lightning beasts finished their attack to launch a powerful counterattack.

With everyone joining forces, a beam of light pierced through the lightning beasts. A gigantic hole opened in the chest of one of them, and the others retreated.

Their immortal power was very subtle, and with the Heroic Shadows preventing them from getting close to the army, everyone only needed to kill them safely.

Lucius was about to give the order for everyone to attack together, so they could consolidate their advantage and give the lightning beasts no chance to recover.

However, just as his orders were about to leave his mouth...

He felt as if a blade had cut his throat. No sound came out. That was because he saw a gigantic figure inside the enormous hole in the middle of the clouds.

It was a lightning beast that looked like a massive divine bird. Its eyes were like golden lanterns, staring down at them through the opening. At that instant, everyone in the army felt their hearts stop. They were locked down by a terrifying aura.

"How... how is this possible..." Tetoya murmured in panic.

That thing wasn't releasing a subtle immortal power, but something solid and overwhelming. Just by looking at that bird, everyone started sweating cold, feeling as insignificant as ants.

This Heavenly Punishment was absolutely horrifying, leaving people with no chance of survival at all.

Alear turned to Darian with a panicked look.

Darian let out a light sigh. "Do you really think I'm the only one who can pull off miracles? Do you trust your two mothers and adoptive father that little?"

Alear took a deep breath, calming herself, and nodded. Her gaze fixed on the twins and on Veyle, paying close attention. Since she had only truly seen Darian and Niara in action, she didn't have the same level of trust in the other three yet.

"Fuck, brothers and sisters, help me out! I'm ending this!"

Tetoya roared, and the other princes and princesses of Vadise joined in, activating their Draconic Bloodlines at the same time. Since she and the others from the first group were fighting separately from the rest, they had the freedom to act without the leader's orders.

Without hesitation, all of them activated a Magical Technique together. It wasn't like a shared blessing, but Dragon power could turn it into something terrifying.

"Dragon Blood Claws!"

Tetoya roared, becoming the absolute center of everyone's attack. After infinite energy flowed into her, she struck, and a pulsing claw tore through the skies ahead.

It was a devastating power, making space collapse with its movement. Unfortunately, the cost was all the power from their rings and Bloodlines, which was why they hadn't used it before.

**RUMBLE!**

All ten lightning beasts touched by that claw were torn apart.

That attack was practically capable of destroying heaven and earth. However, just as it was about to hit the bird, it suddenly spread its wings.

*BUZZ*

Lightning lit up the world. As its body trembled, an identical copy flew out from within it, crashing straight into the claw.

"What?!"

"What kind of ability is that?!"

Tetoya and the others were stunned. At that moment, the claw hit the bird's clone, and an explosion released a wave of lightning that shattered the clouds and blinded everyone.

"WATCH OUT!!"

Next, the lightning wave crashed down on the army below. They were like a small boat in raging seas, thrown around and violently shaken. Intense pain ripped through their bodies, as if millions of needles were piercing them.

"It's going to attack again!" Veyle shouted, dazed.

Suddenly, the lightning bird let out a piercing screech.

With trembling wings, it charged toward the army, striking with one wing like a blade that could destroy everything.

Facing that gigantic wing, the army looked unbelievably small. In the next instant, Lucy shouted, and everyone entered maximum defensive formation. All the resources she had available were poured into the inscription at once.

**KBOOM!**

The defensive wall had barely formed before it was destroyed. As a result, everyone coughed up blood, their insides nearly torn apart.

The bird was absolutely terrifying, and they had barely been able to stop it.

At that exact moment, the bird screamed again and launched its second attack. This one was something the army couldn't possibly endure.

But...

*Woooooosh!*

Suddenly, a Black sun and a White sun erupted in the middle of the army.

"Brute, do you really think you can be that arrogant?!" Lucy shouted from within the black sun, her red eyes pulsing with a frightening light.

Lucius stood at the center of the white sun. In his hands, a long, yellowish spear appeared. At that moment, a terrifying aura poured out of it.

Darian nodded in satisfaction. His brother had managed to master the power of that dreadful spear, which had once belonged to a missionary. Darian had obtained that spear on that training planet, before the Convention, and gave it to Lucius, since he was skilled at fighting with all kinds of weapons. (Chapter 559)

Everything happened extremely fast. Suddenly, the two of them pushed their blessings to the absolute limit, and a terrifying power surged through them.

It made sense. By winning this battle, they could help Darian immensely in saving two universes. Because of that, their blessings rose beyond any limit they had ever used before.

Niara smiled. Alear was stunned. Only then did the young girl truly understand that the twins were not ordinary people at all. If Darian didn't exist, they would probably be known across the entire universe for the power they possessed.

The two of them shot upward at once.

Lucy's green hair came loose and stood on end, with uncontrollable fury taking over. She looked like a goddess of battle, her fists surging along with black light, as if they would destroy heaven and earth.

Lucius was calmer and more restrained. But the spear thrust forward with a power even more terrifying than that of an immortal.

"Disappear!"

The roar of the two echoed like thunder through the air. At that instant, the skies split in two, as two devastating attacks struck the lightning bird at the same time.

**BOOM!**

As a result, that terrifying bird exploded violently, turning into runes that enveloped the entire army.

Everyone was bathed in them and absorbed the runes, feeling their bodies roar with an even greater power.

Lucy and Lucius landed side by side on the ground, both wearing indifferent expressions, very similar to someone else everyone knew.

Alear felt something indescribable. Veyle was already a renowned alchemist throughout the universe, and even Darian trusted her completely. But those two together had defeated a beast with the pure power of an immortal in a single blow.

Her adoptive parents were absurd. It made her feel very safe, but also pressured. If she wanted to protect them, she needed to grow stronger and stronger.

After less than a minute, the auras of everyone in the army completely transformed. Everyone froze, unable to believe it.

The immortal core inside each of them had finally fully solidified. That meant they truly...

Everyone looked up and saw sunlight break through the black clouds, which were dispersing.

"We did it..." Camille murmured shakily, voicing what everyone was thinking in shock.

Darian had said he could help them reach this point. So they followed his plans to the letter and trusted him and the commands they received completely.

Because of that, everyone overcame the Heavenly Punishment. There wasn't a single death. And now, 4,500 immortals were born all at once.

But Darian wasn't satisfied with just that. His gaze fell on a woman in the middle of the army.

Czaza took a deep breath, feeling immense pressure on her back. Even so, she clenched her fists, full of determination. The path to becoming a Spiritual Sovereign had been opened by him for her to walk.
