Alaric had already calculated the right timing, sending Niara, Ailik, and Ramel ahead of everyone else. They needed to reach the corpse as fast as possible. Any delay could introduce unpredictable variables.

Everyone around was shocked to see the City Lord using his power to cheat. He was the only one who could interfere with the entrance like that, but at that point, it was already useless for anyone to complain.

'Beat the shit out of that bitch for me. Preferably, let me kill her later.' Niara sent a message to Darian at the very last second.

Soon after, the trio shot straight into the portal. But the people from the Primordial Empire also reacted quickly and didn't fall too far behind.

At that moment, Alaric and all the masters of the four clans were startled. They sensed that, besides that woman, three other absurdly powerful figures were hiding within the crowd.

The three came from the Primordial Empire. As for that woman…

She didn't rush to enter as fast as she could. Her goal was a bit different. Flames erupted around her, forming a pair of massive wings. Then, she accelerated.

"Listen, trash! If you've got the guts, come and face me. The name's Melva."

Her shout echoed thunderously as she closed in on Darian, who was running through the crowd toward the entrance.

Only then did Darian learn that woman's name. He couldn't hold back and replied, "Are you stupid? Why would I stay and fight? Is there nothing but air inside that head of yours?"

Darian wasn't in the habit of engaging with others, but this woman was childish and annoying.

As he kept running, Melva got even more irritated. "You don't dare fight and yet act so arrogant! Are all men cowards like you? You've disgraced all the men in the world!" she kept shouting as she chased him.

"Just like me, your father is also a man. I don't think you should talk about him like that," Darian shot back without looking behind.

Melva nearly choked on that reply, unable to come up with a comeback. Grinding her teeth in fury, she watched the entrance draw closer.

Suddenly, she moved her hand, and a whip covered in a freezing aura appeared. Without any hesitation, she lashed out at Darian like a bolt of lightning.

The moment the whip appeared, the entire entrance and the surrounding space trembled.

Seeing that scene, everyone present was terrified. Inside the entrance, there was a channel several hundred meters long; if that crazy woman destroyed the passage, it would collapse, and everyone inside would die.

When the whip was about to reach Darian, he stopped and snorted coldly.

His hand glowed with a multicolored aura. Then he turned around and punched the whip with his left hand.

Melva smiled sinisterly. He wanted to block her whip with his bare hands? The moment it touched him, his entire body would freeze. She never expected it to be this easy to capture him.

*BOOM!*

However, contrary to her expectations, Darian didn't freeze.

The strike hit him, and he borrowed the force of the attack to hurl himself backward. In an instant, Darian shot into the channel at a terrifying speed.

He had planned to mock her for failing to stop him, but he was a bit shocked by the power of that whip.

*Whoooooosh!*

At that moment, a wave of fire surged into the channel right behind him.

"You think you can run?!"

Melva appeared, shouting fiercely, and the whip in her hand lashed out at Darian once more.

He snorted. Then, suddenly, he vanished right before her eyes, startling her.

"!"

In the same second, he appeared like a ghost to her right.

Darian delivered a kick straight at her face. The attack enraged Melva; her whip pulsed, then moved in a bizarre way, instantly retracting.

"You ill-mannered little brat, I'll rip your leg off!" Melva shouted as her whip moved with astonishing speed, instantly binding Darian's leg.

Darian was surprised. That was a technique using the power of the Void at an extremely high level. It didn't come from that woman herself, but from the runes carved into the whip.

Just as she was about to "tear off" his leg, Melva was startled to realize that Darian had deliberately allowed her to bind his foot.

Darian smiled. She was an inexperienced idiot. By pulling the whip, she caused his other foot to whip around toward her cheek.

Melva reacted quickly and managed to raise her hand to defend, but the force of Darian's kick was simply too much. Her hand slammed into her own face, and she was violently sent flying backward.

Although the kick didn't directly hit her face, the impact on her hand was almost just as effective. It was as if she had slapped herself. Melva was thrown far away.

Even so, she didn't panic. She twisted the whip, causing countless bone-like spikes to emerge. Even after being kicked away, she still wanted to rip off Darian's leg. Unfortunately, those spikes couldn't pierce his skin. They let out an ear-splitting screech as they scraped against it.

Countless white marks appeared on Darian's leg where the whip had passed.

In this clash, although Darian had gained the upper hand and sent Melva flying, he was even more shocked by that whip.

When she steadied herself, he stared intently at the whip in her hand. A bluish aura radiated from it like flames, but it was actually a freezing power of water.

'Master! That's water power at the Calamity level!' Eleri's excited voice echoed in Darian's mind.

Through the freezing power, he could now see more clearly that the whip was made of bone.

'These are the bones of a Glacier-Piercing Egret!'

Darian finally recognized the origin of that whip. The Glacier-Piercing Egrets were one of the three races of Primordial Beasts created by Roc, but they had already gone extinct in that universe.

The power of that race, when it was still alive, was terrifying. So much so that the Heaven-Devouring Sparrows, which were the weakest among the three Beasts, were still the number one power in the universe until not long ago.

"Since you're able to block the spikes of my Whip, you can be considered fairly strong. However, you'll still die by my hands."

Unable to defeat Darian in a single exchange, Melva's expression finally changed, and she no longer looked at him with the same disdain.

Her whip had been forged from a Glacier-Piercing Egret at the ninth level of the Emperor Saint Realm in ancient times. On top of that, after being nourished by countless generations of big shots from the Primordial Empire, it now possessed absolutely terrifying power. This was one of the most powerful weapons in the universe.

That whip matched her status as a supreme genius. She was a princess of the Imperial family and one of the top candidates to become the future Empress.

Melva's affinity with the energy of that weapon allowed her to gain the recognition of the spirit born within the whip when she was only eight years old. That weapon resonated with her in an extraordinary way. Even while still in the Heaven Saint Realm, Melva could unleash twenty percent of its total power, something never seen before in the Empire. But of course, that wasn't her only trump card.

While Darian and Melva exchanged blows, several figures desperately rushed through the channel toward the Golden Sky Mountain.

Darian grew excited, and a light filled with malice and greed flashed in his eyes.

This was a good opportunity to get something for his little partner, who was thrilled by that whip. At the same time, he could also understand and analyze the power of a Primordial Chosen.

At that moment, an intense sense of danger wrapped around Melva, making her hair stand on end. Under the pressure of Darian's gaze, she swung her whip defensively.

Darian pretended he was about to counterattack, but…

…he vanished again.

Then he reappeared at a distance, rapidly charging toward the other side of the channel.

"Bastard!"

Just when Melva thought Darian was about to attack her with everything he had, he chose to run away instead. Tricked, she exploded in rage, and her flaming wings turned her into a blazing shooting star as she chased after him.

Countless geniuses of the universe poured into the channel. Outside, Alaric watched Darian disappear silently.

"I wish them good luck," Alaric remarked with a meaningful sigh. Then he turned to look at the spatial portal behind him that led to the City, standing there like an unshakable rock. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮

However, at that moment, black stains slowly began to appear within the cracks of the city gates…

Once everyone had entered, the elders responsible for guarding the area remained at their posts, patiently waiting for the return of those who had departed.

At that point, the four clan masters of the city stopped pretending and openly walked toward the Primordial Empire's camp, clearly showing their hostility toward the City Lord.

Alaric simply ignored them and remained seated in his golden carriage, gazing at the horizon with a calm expression. It was as if all those petty conflicts had nothing to do with him, and he was merely appreciating the scenery before his eyes.

When Darian exited the channel, a vast wave of Void power crashed down on him like sharp blades. The air was thick with the stench of death. It felt as though he had stepped into a mythological hell itself.

The land below was marked by devastation, darkness, and blood. In contrast, the sky was completely covered in a brilliant golden glow.

The Golden Sky Mountain was extremely vast, three times the size of the islands. On top of that, the Void power above was chaotic and powerful. Anyone who dared to fly would be gambling with their life; at any moment, a wave of power capable of killing even a divinity could strike before they even sensed it coming.

As soon as Darian moved forward, the Void behind him erupted violently. A whip shot toward him like a sword.

Darian snorted. He really hadn't managed to shake her off for even five seconds. Melva's attack could even freeze the surrounding space and Void power, which made using his movement technique difficult.

He had no intention of revealing all his power at that moment. One reason was that every drop of power burned wouldn't recover. In this universe, energy recovery was a thousand times slower than usual. So he wanted to preserve as much as possible for the final moment.

"You coward with no guts, where do you think you can run now?!" Melva appeared in front of him in an instant, wrapped in flames.

She was a true genius. She wielded fire and ice, nearly opposite energies, without any difficulty at all.

Darian turned to her without showing any emotion. "Since you insist so much, I'll beat you until you cry, calling for your mommy and daddy."

Darian extended his hand, and Awel appeared in his palm, striking the whip.

*BOOM!*

With a single clash of weapons, the entire space exploded. Flames, wind, and ice spread in every direction.

The two were thrown backward.

As they exchanged blows, some unlucky people crossed through the channel. Before they could even understand what was happening, they were hit by the energy waves.

"AH!"

Fortunately, they were all powerful geniuses and managed to survive, though their bodies were burned, sliced, or partially frozen.

Melva quickly stabilized herself. Her eyes widened as she sensed deadly danger and turned around.

There was Darian, attacking from behind with his dagger.

*BANG!*

She blocked with her whip, but was sent flying and slammed into the ground with a loud crash.

Consumed by rage, she stood up and attacked with everything she had.

But… after repeatedly failing to gain any advantage over Darian, she could no longer accept that humiliation.

"Frozen Heavens World!"

Melva's whip moved rapidly until, suddenly, a manifestation appeared.

The shadow of an immense and divine Egret emerged behind her. A powerful force flowed from her hand into the whip, intensifying with every joint. The bone whip had a total of thirty-six joints, and as the energy passed through each one, its power multiplied many times over.

'WOW!!!'

Inside Darian's inventory, Eleri screamed in excitement, as if that were the most beautiful and magnificent thing in the world.

She could feel that, within that whip, the essence of that primordial beast's elemental power had been preserved in every bone. In Melva's hands, that weapon couldn't even reveal a shadow of its true power.

But in Eleri's hands, that whip could unleash power beyond 100% of its strength. Blending with Eleri's own internal power, it would reach nearly apocalyptic levels.
