Darian was forced to activate his primordial physique. In that instant, waves of void power slammed into him as a vortex of dust and soil shot up into the sky.

A tornado of black earth condensed in the air in massive waves. Darian simply stayed still at the center of it all, suspended in the sky and carried away. The impact of the void power pressing down on his body was terrifying, but thankfully, his defenses were impenetrable.

After several minutes, everything finally settled down, and he landed on top of a small black mountain.

"Damn… I lost 25% of my chaos power that fast…" Darian spat angrily. The power of the void was insanely frightening, since it was made of a high-level spatial domain.

Something in that region was disturbing the Nether power in the ground and causing small, random explosions. He felt that he had simply been unlucky enough to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. But…

His senses sharpened. He felt the karma of people very close by.

Looking ahead, he saw two figures dressed in tattered robes.

One was thin, while the other was muscular. The thin man had red hair and a body so gaunt it looked like he was nothing but skin and bones. Without that thin layer of skin, it felt like he would simply fall apart.

Darian narrowed his eyes. That man had features similar to what Maeyu had described as the prince of the Primordial Empire who had kidnapped her sister. However, he looked like he had gone through something brutally harsh and was now withered and weakened.

As for the muscular man, he was covered in thick white fur, like an albino ape. Darian clearly sensed the Bloodline of a Nether Beast coming from him. It was subtle, but unmistakable.

Darian didn't have much information, but he guessed that those with only a small portion of that Bloodline could maintain their sanity more easily.

When he focused on them even more, to his surprise, both had a Celestial Destiny Disk behind them. They were Primordial Chosens. Even so, at that moment, they looked utterly miserable. Their robes were in rags, and their bodies were covered in wounds.

After a brief moment of shock, a smile formed at the corner of Darian's lips.

At that instant, the two of them also noticed his presence, and killing intent immediately flashed in their eyes.

"I didn't expect you to escape Melva. Looks like her power isn't as great as it seems," said the red-haired man, staring at Darian with a dark gaze.

"That woman is useless, but this works out too. If I kill you now, your Primordial Empire won't be able to say a thing," commented the muscular man, bloodthirsty.

"Why all this pointless talk? Hand over all the treasures you have and kill yourselves already. That way, at least I'll leave your corpses intact," Darian replied lightly.

The two couldn't believe what they were hearing.

As he stepped a bit closer, Darian saw, behind them, an unconscious figure lying on the ground, covered in black runes that looked like chains. Saelil was alive, which instantly put him in a good mood. He would save her, get valuable information, and steal whatever it was those two were after.

The redhead laughed. "Idiot. If it weren't for Melva's stubbornness, do you think you would've survived long enough to enter the Golden Sky Mountain? That annoying woman demanded the right to rip your head off herself."

Hearing that, Darian provoked, "So it seems you two are pretty scared of her. Even when she wanted to fight me personally, you didn't dare say a word."

"Shut up! The fact that you escaped her hands only means you got lucky. That, or that girl fell for your pretty face. But now that you're in our hands, all that awaits you is death!" roared the muscular man.

'Our hands?' Darian was surprised. It seemed his initial judgment had been wrong. He had assumed the two had fought each other over some treasure, resulting in those injuries. But that didn't seem to be the case. Even if one had attacked first, the two had reached an agreement and weren't hostile toward each other. They were going to face him together.

"Are you calling me handsome?" Darian asked, a strange expression on his face. "Sorry, I'm already married, and my wife is very jealous. Please keep your distance from me."

"How dare you!" The muscular man stood up, completely furious.

At that moment, the ground beneath Darian's feet trembled subtly. It was as if something buried for countless years was about to come into the light once more.

"I'll kill him myself, don't interfere!" Without giving the red-haired man any chance to argue, the muscular man charged straight at Darian and swung a heavy spear at him.

That spear was as thick as a person's thigh, covered in countless runes of Nether power engraved along its surface. The moment it appeared, a bestial energy exploded outward. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Darian's eyes lit up, and the Stellar Physique was activated. He smiled and blocked the strike with his bare hands.

*BANG!*

Darian grabbed the shaft of the spear, making a terrifying sound echo through the area.

That man was a master of brute strength and had never encountered anyone who could match him. However, upon clashing with Darian, his hands went numb, and blood began to drip from them.

"Is that all?" Darian mocked, and with a flick of his arm, he sent the weapon flying out of the enemy's hands.

Now Darian was ready. Having fought Melva before, he knew just how terrifying the defensive power of a Celestial Destiny Disk was. So he lured the enemy in close and disarmed him by surprise.

With a swift motion, he twisted his leg and unleashed a powerful kick.

With a violent sound, the man was sent flying. Right after that, Darian vanished and reappeared in front of him, throwing a straight punch to his face.

His movements were incredibly smooth, completing the entire sequence without a single pause.

*BOOM!*

The muscular man roared and crossed his arms in front of himself, summoning his Celestial Destiny Disk as a shield. As a result, both he and Darian were blasted backward at the same time.

That figure's expression changed when a small black crack appeared on his Celestial Destiny Disk.

In the blink of an eye, Darian had damaged that thing, drastically reducing its defensive power.

The moment the man felt a mix of shock and rage, Darian attacked again. This time, he was holding a dagger in his hands.

With the initiative now on his side and the Celestial Destiny Disk no longer in perfect condition, this was the best moment to kill him.

But…

*Rumble!*

Just as Darian was about to strike the finishing blow, the ground gave way beneath his feet and swallowed him whole.

A massive abyss suddenly opened below them!

"WHAT THE HELL!"

The muscular man and the red-haired man shouted in shock as they were also swallowed by the earth.

Darian felt as if a gigantic mouth had devoured him as everything went dark. Inside that darkness, space and time were in complete chaos. An extremely powerful tearing force threatened to rip him apart, if not for the Stellar Physique.

Darian's eyes widened. Then, desperately, his senses expanded outward.

"!"

His heart pounded when he sensed, at close range, a figure covered in runes. Saelil had fallen as well, but she was separated from the red-haired man.

Without caring about energy consumption, Darian shot toward her and grabbed her immediately. Then he channeled his energy to protect her at once.

He let out a long sigh of relief. If he had been even a little slower, she might have been torn apart.

Darian waved his hand and shattered all the black runes covering her. For some reason, she was in very good condition. He placed her on his back and kept falling, unable to stop himself.

He could sense someone not too far away.

Without thinking twice, he gripped Eleri in his hand and charged in that direction. After all, there were only four of them down there; he would attack first and talk later.

*CLANG!*

Sparks flew, briefly lighting up the darkness. Darian's dagger collided with a blood-colored sword, the red-haired man's weapon.

His Celestial Destiny Disk had been activated for a long time already, and a blood mist wrapped around him. Even as a Primordial Chosen, he had to unleash all his power just to withstand that pressure.

Thanks to the brief sparks, Darian also spotted the muscular man, who was quite far away from him.

Darian snorted. "Then I'll deal with you first. Hand over all your treasures!"

Suddenly, a powerful freezing aura erupted from the dagger, causing the sword to freeze over and stick to it, locking the two blades together and preventing him from pulling it back.

The red-haired man was shocked. He had never faced such a bizarre technique before. On top of that, both of them were still falling rapidly, making it hard to control their own bodies. Holding onto his weapon, he was immediately dragged to where Darian wanted him.

As he pulled him in, Darian extended his left foot toward the opponent's private parts.

With his sword stuck and seeing the kick coming, the red-haired man could only bend his body and strike Darian's foot with his left elbow.

At the instant of impact, the red-haired man's elbow flared with intense light, and black runes gleamed through his clothes. That seemingly casual block was actually a lethal technique that would poison the target upon contact.

He was a poison specialist, confirming that he was the one who had poisoned Maeyu.

However, his attack failed. A subtle white light erased any chance of the poison taking effect. And besides… Darian's kick had been a feint.

By bending down, the red-haired man had basically handed his own head straight to Darian. Sensing the danger instantly, he tried to turn away, but his vision went blurry.

*BANG! BANG!! BANG!!!*

Darian slammed his fists into the man's face again and again, without the slightest mercy. The cracking sounds were like a string of fireworks. His face swelled up, and he grew dizzy. At that moment, his mouth twisted into a wide grin.

In that split second, Darian instinctively raised his free hand toward his own face.

The man spat out a dagger nearly eight centimeters long, a hidden weapon with a powerful aura.

Darian wasn't hurt at all, but the impact forced him to make Eleri let go of his weapon and pushed him away from the man.

"You sneaky bastard! You were hiding a weapon in your mouth?! Fuck! Tell me the truth, what other kind of weapons are you hiding up your ass?!"

His killing move had been blocked, and now Darian was even mocking him. As a result, the red-haired man was furious. His rage came from the fact that the dagger was one of his main hidden weapons, used mainly to boost his cultivation speed.

It was a legacy treasure of the Primordial Empire. Each generation engraved all its understanding of life into the dagger before passing it on to the next. With that dagger, he basically carried the accumulated knowledge and combat experience of dozens of generations. It was his secret killing tool, rarely used, but it never failed once unleashed.

Yet today, even at such close range and after perfect preparation, Darian managed to block it with nothing but his bare hand.

Hearing Darian's provocation, the man's eyes nearly burst into flames. Still, with both of them falling rapidly, he was unable to attack and could only glare at Darian's arrogant display.

"Don't fall into my hands, or you'll regret ever being born into this world!"

Darian snapped back, looking genuinely offended. "What kind of fucked-up luck is this?! I crossed paths with two freaks! One looks like a bear and tries to seduce me, and the other has a talent for swallowing long, hard objects... Heavens! Just let me go already and hand over your treasures!"

"Go to hell!" The red-haired man, his face swollen, looked like he was about to lose his mind. "We had just opened the underground gate when you showed up! Everything went out of control because of you!"

"Oh! You still haven't found the treasure yet? Looks like I arrived at just the right time," Darian replied, his expression radiant.

Darian felt like he had been infected by Niara's way of doing things. But honestly, mocking, provoking, and pushing the enemy off balance had many benefits, making them spill exactly what he wanted to hear.

"I really thought a single blood sacrifice wouldn't be enough. Your arrival is perfect." The muscular man's sinister smile echoed through the darkness.

Darian laughed. "Indeed, having two is safer. I'll sacrifice both of you, so you'll die for a good cause, and I'll take the treasures."

"Treasures? You don't even know what's inside," the red-haired man sneered.

"Who cares? If it's a treasure, then it was fated to be mine from the start. Masterless treasures belong to me by right. Treasures with owners? They just haven't realized they belong to me yet. If I want it, it's mine. It's as simple as that." Darian replied indifferently.

Both of them roared at the same time.

"You delusional piece of shit!"

"Shut your damn mouth!"

*BOOM!*

Suddenly, space shook, and Darian stopped falling. The abrupt halt felt like he had slammed into something.

After stabilizing himself, he turned toward the two nearby.

The red-haired man was also dazed by the sudden impact. Before he could recover, a dagger appeared in front of him.

With a furious roar, the red-haired man swung his sword and somehow managed to block the attack precisely.

However, Darian's strike had the advantage of initiative, while the block was rushed and unstable. Still shaken by the impact, the man was blasted away, coughing up a mouthful of blood.

Darian successfully separated the two. That one still had his cheat intact, and he could save the other for later.

He quickly spun around, and his dagger sliced through the air behind him.

*BOOM!*

The dagger struck the muscular man's heavy spear as he was rushing in to help the other. With the clash of the two weapons, that figure staggered backward.

"Tch, is this really all you've got? Even if the two of you teamed up, you wouldn't be a match for Melva. How dare you act arrogant in front of me?" Darian muttered.

He stopped attacking and looked at them with disdain.

He was holding back, both to conserve energy and because he sensed that something in this environment was connected to the two of them. So it was better to wait until they revealed everything, making it easier to take it all.

*Buzz*

Suddenly, that dark world lit up.

"You fool, you have no idea what kind of danger you've walked into! Now there's no escape for you!" the red-haired man shouted. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, smiling sinisterly.

When he looked into Darian's eyes, he expected to see fear and shock, but instead… he saw those red eyes blazing with pure joy.
