Death… And Me-Chapter 4111: An Instant
It was a good thing the twins' group still had their Great Void Shifter chart for the lower-ranked Universes. This time, they moved to the Shifter they knew would bring them down to Universe D198, which would have another Shifter that they could use to go to F956.
A1 Universe didn't have a shifter that could send them to F956 straight away. In any case, they arrived at the Shifter a few hours later. They had to use this moment that everyone thought them to be in the Werdlem Universe to get further away from it.
However...
"Stop!" It was then that a loud voice echoed in the surroundings. Then a man appeared from within a concealed location, one that the twins' group's Divine Senses couldn't penetrate. Only after that were they able to see him and his cultivation.
'Celestial Middle Stage...'
Roan narrowed his eyes, not expecting to miss the guy. 'Sister Orb, was he hidden inside some Anti-Divine Sense Formation?'
[No,] Sister Orb answered. [If he were, I would have detected his Formation the moment it entered our system's detection range. He is likely using some treasure or ability.]
Of course, the twins' group wasn't made of idiots. Everyone there looked completely different at the moment. They had different Werdlem IDs. Their cultivation was also suppressed, appearing to be Divinities at the Peak Stage, and with Hick's boundary in place already. After all, they were going to a D-ranked universe from here. They can't enter it with their real Celestial Realm Peak Stages.
"Can we help you, sir?" Rean smiled and asked the man in front of him respectfully.
The man approached with an imposing manner. "What are you doing in this place? This area has been sealed."
"Sealed?" Rean and the others looked confused. "But we had just passed by this place yesterday. How did this place get sealed in such a short time?"
"Passing?" The man narrowed his eyes and didn't answer why the place was sealed. "You are peak Divinities. Why would you pass through this place? Wherever you are going, you could simply use Spatial Gates. You must want something here."
Rean discussed with Roan and the others what to do through Divine Sense. 'So... do we beat this guy down?' Rean asked.
'Seems like the best idea,' Roan answered. 'I was here with Kentucky just a few hours ago, so he really just arrived. Seems like the Werdlem Empire is pinning down all the Great Void Shifters, including abandoned and broken Shifters like this one we were intending to use.'
Right now, Hick was in the twins' Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. He entered it before they arrived since he couldn't change his appearance like the twins' group could. 'With your strength, you could kill him in an instant. The problem is that his death will definitely alert whoever sent him here, which in this case, is most definitely the Wedlem Empire.'
'If we beat him, we can take him into the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm, and that will give us time until others notice his absence,' Roan mentioned. 'Hick, you can block the Werdlem Network around this place, right?'
'Sure,' Hick confirmed. 'I just need your Sister Orb to allow me to connect to the outside world, then I won't even need to come out. It's different from when I had to open a breach to the Celestial Plane.'
'Wouldn't it be better to go after another Shifter?' Kentucky asked. 'Other Shifters might not be occupied yet. As long as we take a shifter to a C-Ranked Universe or lower, I doubt we will find others watching those universes' Shifters either.'
Roan snorted. 'Hmph! Even if we go through all that trouble, you still need to give this guy a good excuse for us to have come to this place.'
Rean nodded, speaking to the man in front. "Well, sir, there isn't really any particular reason for us to be passing here instead of using Spatial Gates. We just wanted to fly. You sure also have these days where you prefer to take things leisurely, right?"
The man didn't believe it for a second. His Celestial Energy descended, and his Celestial Laws gathered. "And you just so happen to pass exactly above where this broken Great Void Shifter was located? Hmph! If that's true, then you won't bother if I take you down and investigate, right?"
His orders were very clear. Anyone who approaches the Great Void Shifters, especially those abandoned and broken ones, must be detained. He didn't care whether he was right or wrong. He would not go against the Werdlem Empire's orders.
However, his expression changed when he noticed that his Celestial Energy and Laws had no effect on the twins' group. "You..."
He didn't think twice, taking distance and preparing to fight. If they resisted his power that easily, that could only mean one thing. They were also Celestials, just like him. As he got away, he took his CD and tried to contact the Werdlem Empire's representatives. Too bad... 'What?! Where is the Werdlem Signal?'
*Zush!*
Suddenly, a black-haired man appeared in front of him, a pair of Crystalized Scythes already cutting in his direction. The sheer power of the Celestial Sky Energy, the two Celestial Laws of Light and Dark, and the Dark Red Lightning followed.
The man was taken aback. Before he knew it, he was already inside Roan's Domain. He didn't even know how Roan moved so fast like that. He only needed that instant to understand he was going to die if he didn't do something.
*Fluf!*
He had a light-green lace holding his hair, which was quite long. That lace suddenly snapped, and a vast amount of Celestial Energy immediately flooded his surroundings, creating a light-green barrier between him and Roan. He went all out, pouring all his Celestial Energy and Laws into defending from that strike. As he did that, he was already accessing his Pocket Dimensional Realm to take out a life-saving talisman.
Roan ignored all of that, though.
'Red Death, Death Cross!'
*Swish, swish!*
Yet, to the man's horror, the sections where Roan's Scythes hit simply disappeared in front of his eyes. The Scythes didn't even slow down.
*arrrghh!*
His body was split into four, and the parts fell from the sky like meteors. He, a Middle Stage Celestial, was struck down in a single attack. He didn't even understand why his barrier, which he put his full power into and was created by a Legendary Level Treasure, was overcome that easily.
Of course, he didn't die straight away. He might not have a Peak Stage Celestial Body yet, but he was still a Celestial. He tried to fight against Roan's Dark Element and Celestial Laws, which were corroding his body. Yet, it only took a second for him to finally understand the situation more clearly. The Divinities now appeared as Peak Celestials in his Divine Sense, and he was just a single Middle Stage Celestial. There was no escape.
'You have two choices here,' Rean's voice echoed in his mind. 'Either let go and allow yourself to be pulled into my Pocket Dimensional Realm, or just die. I'll try to pull you in now.'
The man bitterly smiled, and when the Spatial Pull appeared, he didn't fight it; the four parts of his body disappeared in an instant.
