Demon Hunter and His Cabin-Chapter 1060 - 757: Other People from the Wizard World
Chapter 1060: Chapter 757: Other People from the Wizard World
"Failed again."
At the cliff top, the atmosphere in the palace was nearly frozen. After a while, Tristramy broke the silence.
"I have long said not to stir the grass and alert the snake; we need more preparation."
Gusman’s voice carried concealed anger, as he paced back and forth, his footsteps growing increasingly heavy. Clearly, appearing here this time was not his phantom but his true body.
"If it weren’t for your reckless use of the bell to wake the others, how would we have become so passive!"
He said with some resentment.
"You mean to blame me for revealing this information, don’t you." Tristramy laughed coldly, "It doesn’t matter what those folks below think, they too desire longer life, which is a normal desire."
"But whatever they do, they can’t escape our control."
"Don’t think I am unaware of what you’ve done."
"But you must admit, this is our opportunity," Gusman retorted.
"You should say it’s your opportunity." Tristramy snorted coldly.
"Enough of these meaningless quarrels. Because of your impulsiveness, the whole matter has become known to everyone; even Lord Heinris values it now."
"He is presently unable to leave because of more important matters, but I think it won’t be long before he arrives here, then finds that guy’s body, and ends it all."
"Not to mention those hungry wolves from other Soul Realms, how could they let such an opportunity slip by?"
"If we cannot control Roger’s soul in the shortest time, once everyone arrives, how much chance do we have to enjoy the fruits of victory alone?"
Gusman clenched his fists, his face showing a tangled expression, as if weighing something.
"Has this failure not cleared your mind a bit?" Tristramy interlocked his withered fingers, seemingly preparing something.
"That Roger is unexpectedly powerful; there are only two methods to defeat him in a short time."
"The first is to set a trap, pulling his soul into the Soul Realm. The second is to disregard casualty ratios and drown him with a sea of people maneuver."
"Although we can’t leave the Soul Realm, through some means, we can still let part of our power descend. If this power is strong and abundant enough, it can suppress him even in the real world."
Hearing Tristramy’s words, Gusman’s eyes brightened, "Do you plan to utilize those greedy ones’ power?"
"Why not?" Tristramy replied with a question.
"Since we can’t reach that place in a short time, capturing his soul gives us the opportunity to get his body."
"We’ve conducted many experiments on this issue, and we are somewhat confident."
Soon, the vast palace once again fell silent, as the two seemed to be pondering something, until a wandering figure appeared.
"Yumit!"
Gusman said in a deep voice.
"Now is not the time for your waywardness. You should desire to regain a body more than any of us, and the opportunity is right in front of you; if we can’t seize it..."
"Alright, alright."
Yumit wiped the wine stains from the corner of his mouth, impatiently waving a hand towards Gusman while expressing gratitude to Tristramy.
"Thank you for the wine; it makes my long life less unbearable."
"You’re indulging him!" Gusman snorted coldly.
"We agreed to act together, but when the critical moment comes, he’s nowhere to be seen."
Hearing Gusman’s questioning, Tristramy chuckled, "At least this way we can avoid him disrupting us."
As though reminded of something, Gusman said no more, merely crossed his arms, and frowned in thought.
Soon, Yumit’s wanton laughter echoed in the empty hall as he drank and danced by himself, shifting from one side to the other, muttering unintelligible words.
"You’ve made a lot of sense, but no matter which plan requires knowing Roger’s specific whereabouts, can you guarantee this?"
A moment later, Gusman suddenly spoke.
"Have you forgotten my title?"
Tristramy smiled but didn’t give a definite answer, yet Gusman seemingly overlooked this and nodded.
"The Soul Transfer ceremony can only be performed once. The next time he becomes exceedingly alert, we must act swiftly. You determine his position and simultaneously gather your forces."
"You can influence his destiny’s course, guide Roger to the designated location, and then we can initiate the ceremony, directly drawing his soul into the Soul Realm."
Gusman proposed.
Tristramy’s gaze lowered slightly. With other Transcendents, even those at the same level, Tristramy had methods to influence part of their action trajectory through the power of fate.
But with Roger...
The weakening of strength was but one aspect. More importantly, the energy of the same source made her influence drop sharply.
And this must never become known to Gusman and others.
"I’ll find a way."
"But I don’t believe the chance of success is high. Presently, using only one or two Soul Weapons isn’t enough against that guy."
"Even if we are prepared and successfully lure him into a trap, there’s no guarantee that the ceremony will succeed."
At this point, a trace of pain flashed across Gusman’s face. The assault had failed, and his long spear was nowhere to be found.
To him, it wasn’t just a loss of a weapon, but a part of his power’s limit.
