Chapter 10: Chapter 10: Annie

Wolf and Vestro booked a room and went to room 17, just across Adrian’s room. The moment they got there she got undressed.

" Finally a bed, I’m tired of sleeping in the car." She dragged wolf by his tie and took off his blazer pulling off the buttons in the process.

" We’re still on a mission." He told in her in a straight voice but didn’t resist her advances.

" Who said we can’t relieve stress while on a mission." Her hand slid into his pants and she started stroking him member.

The two of them were not romantic in the slightest, wolf pulled down her pants then his and bent her over the bed.

Adrian with his heightened senses could hear everything happening in the other rooms but he no longer minded.

The couple on room 18 adjacent to his were doing it every chance they got, ever since he got here they’ve been doing it at least twice a day.

From their conversation it even seemed the man was slowing down, apparently he was stressed with money issues.

This was one of the reasons he put so much effort into learning how to control his senses, he couldn’t take listening to people fuck each other anymore.

Even after learning to filter the information, he couldn’t erase it so he could still hear the newly arrived couple.

Eventually he couldn’t take it and had to leave, those people were animals, he could swear he heard the bed break.

While this motel wasn’t exactly five stars it had the old style metallic mattresses. Being able to break them required a lot of strength.

On top of that they had been going at it for 3 hours straight, he wondered how they could have so much stamina.

He got up and left his room, he went to the cafe across the street and ordered cupcakes and juice.

His sweet tooth had for some reason grown since he became a werewolf. While eating happily he suddenly caught a unique scent.

He couldn’t explain it but it smelled different, not like humans. A woman came in wearing glasses, a leather jacket and tight jeans.

It was an usual get up, like a mixture between a secretary and bouncy hunter. She sat on the table behind him.

Adrian sniffed the air again and the scent was overwhelming. It troubled him that he couldn’t figure out what it meant.

He turned and stole a glance at her then realised he knew this woman. She was the local forensic Investigator.

Her name was Meggie, Adrian remembers her because he had seen her talking to his mother before.

A few days before the demon came the woman was arguing with his mother. He wondered if she was involved.

He felt anger boil inside him and without realising it he found himself growling while looking at her. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

She raised her head and looked at him then fixed her glasses and continued with her meal ignoring him.

This pissed him off even more because he knew she knew him and there was no way she didn’t recognise him.

Realising if he sat here any longer he might end up ripping her throat out he stood up to leave.

Just as he was about to get out the door he caught a whiff of the most amazing scent he had ever smelled.

Infront of him stood a girl of avarage height with an afro and glasses, she was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen.

Adrian knew her, this was Annie, his childhood friend. " A.nnie?" His voice came out broken and like a question.

She smiled softly at him and he felt his heart beat and his member vibrated, Adrian had never felt this before.

Not even for her so this was really strange and very uncomfortable for him.

" Hey Adrian, it been a while." She reached for a hug and he hugged her back.

" Yeah, it has been." They hadn’t seen each other for four years after her family moved to the city.

At first they still talked through the phone but even that stopped somewhere down the line.

Honestly he thought he had forgotten about her but his body’s reaction suggested otherwise.

" What brings the pretty city girl to our little town, I thought you had a great life in the big city?"

He asked jokingly, she smiled sadly then hugged him and they stood like that unmoving for a few seconds.

" How are you holding up?" Adrian knew what she meant but he had no Idea how to actually answer that.

He should be sad, he knew he should be sad about losing his mother and sister but the truth was he wasn’t.

He was angry, he was absolutely fuming, he believed that’s why he can’t go full wolf form, he’s barely holding on as is.

If he went to full wolf he would lose control and probably murder everything around him.

The one thing occupying most of his mind is ripping apart every demon he comes across and he swore deep down he would hunt all of them down.

He held her waist and looked into her beautiful eyes then smiled back.

" I’ll be fine." His answer seemed to make her even more sad. She dragged him by the arm and led him out of town into the woods.

The snow still lay thick in the ground but it was no longer as bad as before. The two of them used to sneak here as kids.

" I’m sorry I hadn’t been there for you." She suddenly whispered. Adrian didn’t respond, to be honest there was nothing she could do.

Most people didn’t even know he was still alive, strangely even though he lived here his entire life most of these people didn’t seem to recognise him.

Which made sense, he rarely left his house unless he was going to school, his mother didn’t really like him and his sister roaming about.

He never understood why that was, a few like that cop and Annie recognised him though.

" When’s the funeral?" Annie asked.

" Tomorrow." He answered in a flat tone then he turned and looked to the left, she followed his eyes.

" Wiii." She yelped and froze.
