"He lives in a villa on the edge of the city that’s rumored to be haunted because its previous owners have always disappeared, but Itai hasn’t vanished. Also, the seller from the place that sold the villa said a mysterious man bought it with him, a man dressed fully in armor — the interesting part was that his armor was full of holes. What’s strange is that this person has never been seen with Itai again," Xyan said.

"I know practically nothing about his past because, with the highest probability, he didn’t grow up in the Imperial City, and as soon as he arrived, he went to buy a villa. If you want to know something about his past, I would have to investigate the surrounding cities, and that would take more than a year. According to other adventurers, Itai has a very friendly personality, and everyone likes him. Now let’s move on to the party member named Radal."

When someone becomes an adventurer, there’s a code on the back of the badge that also appears on the document containing the information they entered in the form, along with the date they became an adventurer, the name of their assistant, and where they became an adventurer. The back also states where they became an adventurer so it’s clear where the file containing their information is located.

"Radal became an adventurer right after Itai. His assistant is Ghas, and what’s interesting is that Ghas doesn’t remember him, so he must’ve found him unremarkable — which is strange considering his height of three meters. He’s a swordsman, which is odd because to me he seems more like a tank, and his main trait is his body. He has talent F and Stage 2 Mid, which is very strange, considering he’s only 19 years old. Talent F usually reaches Mid Stage 2 at a minimum age of 50, and that’s with intense training."

"Radal has one strange incident. Once, he attacked the corpse collector Greg. According to Greg, Radal was trying to communicate something with his hands, and when Greg didn’t understand, Radal got angry and attacked him. Greg had to subdue him and throw him in jail. Later, Itai came to pick him up. So with high probability, he has some kind of speech impairment."

"And now we come to the strangest thing about Radal. While investigating his past, I found another adventurer named Radal who died in the same dungeon and at the time those two were there. No badge was found on him, so we can’t say with 100% certainty that he was an adventurer, but according to his mother, he was. His mother also said he became an adventurer on the exact same day as the alleged Radal — something all of his friends can confirm."

"So my conclusion is that this man most likely stole Radal’s badge and is impersonating him. Which brings me to the possibility that Itai could be a spy from another faction. But if he is, then it’s quite strange that according to my surveillance, neither Itai nor that man have been collecting any critical information," Xyan concluded.

"Hmmm, that’s quite interesting," the Overseer murmured.

"Alright, I’ll tell Ing to arrange a meeting with him. We’ll see after that," said the Overseer.

Meanwhile, Itai was with Zheren in dungeon 5, fighting two large ice chameleons that used their tongues like frosty swords.

Zheren’s armor was covered in a layer of cracked frost. He had just crossed swords with one of the chameleons — but the chameleon withdrew its tongue and struck Zheren in the leg, which became coated in a layer of ice...
