DESTINY GAMES-Chapter 230: Two Birds One Stone.
The vantage point of the elves high up in the trees granted them an overhead sight of the battlefield. So they noticed Kelvin barreling his way to them.
They began issuing orders immediately for the defenders to concentrate in his path. It was all to no avail.
No one could stop him. And when there was someone who could stop him ahead, he would sense it with Extraordinary Perception and veer away to avoid it before they met. This created the illusion that he was unstoppable.
With his superior speed, he continued to kill his way towards the objective. When he got close enough, he jumped above the defenders in his way and smashed into the white tree behind them.
The tree felt like it was made of bone. He wouldn’t be surprised if it was. It was so hard that his face hurt when he crashed into it.
He didn’t let that delay him, though. The diamond blades he had for arms were no strangers to bone. He knew how to cut bone very well.
He had four arms, which he made using his shape-shifting ability. Then he turned them into diamond blades. So he had four very sharp weapons to cut the tree with.
The tree was at least ten meters in diameter. Anyone else would have a problem with this thickness. It would delay them and allow the defenders to interfere. But all he had to do was elongate his diamond blades.
He was able to make quick work of the spiked tree. It groaned as it began to fall.
His mark tingled with the addition of 1,000 merit points. It made him smile as he took off towards the closest spiked tree.
1,000 merits is the amount of merit points that he would get for killing 1,000 F-rank beings. Getting it from a single tree won’t increase his kill count by one thousand, but it will give him a lot of merit points in a short amount of time, which he can convert into game points later.
Plus, if he does well and makes a significant contribution to the progress of the invasion, he might earn a feat that will increase his performance rating and make his merit points grant him more game points.
So he was full of excitement as he rushed towards his next target.

The best thing he liked about destroying the spiked tree was that it didn’t stop him from trying to increase his kill count. He can increase his kill count while trying to reach his objective. It was killing two birds with one stone.
Unfortunately, efficiency is frowned upon on the battlefield. In fact, if one is not doing anything other than bleeding out and dying, the enemies are going to frown.
The errant nail gets smashed. More so when that nail is destroying other nails that the enemies are using to build coffins for the soldiers of Yggdrasil.
His swift destruction of the spiked tree drew a lot of attention both from his teammates and enemies. It wasn’t the fact that he destroyed the tree that was eye-catching. It was the fact that he destroyed it in less than five seconds that was impressive.
Even as he rushed towards the next target, the elves were yelling in their language and sending arrows his way. He could understand their language as it was part of the dossier of the Lignum world, so he knew that the elves were ordering every beast to bring his head to them on a platter.
The air whistled as arrows flew through it in his direction. If he had weak defenses, he would have certainly turned into a human version of the spiked tree.
As it is, the arrows smashed against Juggernaut’s Armament and were broken. They couldn’t harm him, but the elves didn’t know that. They continued sending more his way in hopes that one of them would get lucky or that his defenses would fail.
There are three dangerous and large creatures that inhabit the forest of Lignum. They are pythons, jaguars, and the Komodo lizard.
There are many more dangerous creatures, but they are either too small or too slow to catch up to him. The elves needed something fast enough to catch him or something so large that he wouldn’t be able to avoid.
So they sent those three large, fast, and deadly creatures after him.
The first one to catch up to him was the jaguar.
He was fast. Very fast. He was moving so fast, most of the entities on the battlefield looked like they were standing still to him.
He killed enemies without them noticing him or being able to react to him. Unfortunately, he couldn’t utilize his full speed to move quickly in a straight line because of all the thick trees in his path.
He had to take detours, which he doesn’t mind as it allows him to enjoy the scenery more. But it is not so appreciated when he is being pursued.
A jaguar, on the other hand, can jump from tree to tree in pursuit of him. The jaguar was also faster and stronger than him. It could overtake him on a straight track, much less when he is swerving to avoid trees and taking time to cut down enemies.
So the Jaguar caught up to him from behind. Then it jumped to land on top of his back and bring him down.
He didn’t look back to turn one of his blade arms backwards. The jaguar was already in the air, so it was too late for it to change its fate. It impaled itself on his diamond blade and was severed in two.
He continued to run without a care. The arrows striking him were still there, and the demands of the elves to kill him still rang throughout the forests. But those things couldn’t impede him.
