The star produced no light and was hidden. But he could sense it. He could also feel the terrible power that the star was about to unleash.

He looked in the direction of the star and saw that it was the spacecraft. It looked normal. It was just floating there in the air, thousands of kilometers above the ground. But Kelvin knew without a doubt that the spacecraft was pretending.

His eyes lit up in realization. "It is cloaking."

As soon as he had that thought, the cloak of the spacecraft fell. It had finished its preparations, so it made its move.

The ordinary look on the spacecraft disappeared immediately. A white ball of light was in its giant cylindrical maw. That maw was also pointed at them.

Kelvin’s back tingled in the telltale sign of danger. He cursed out loud, "This sneaky bastard is going to cook all of us."

A translucent pillar of light fell from the maw of the spacecraft and landed on the tiny blue figure. It landed with so much force that it crushed her to the ground.

The sound of her hitting the ground was loud. It was as if a meteor had struck the ground. Everything in a 100-kilometer radius was rocked and flattened to the ground, including Kelvin.

Kelvin fell face first into the ground. Some soil entered his mouth, which he had to spit out.

Behind him, Wrath was looking up at the spacecraft. She muttered in excitement and anticipation, "Here comes the hammer of dawn."

He didn’t share her enthusiasm, but he was glad that the force holding him had disappeared. So he was willing to indulge her.

He stood up and saw how the white ball in the maw of the spacecraft began to glow. The light was so bright that it truly looked like dawn was breaking.

It was clear that the spacecraft was about to unleash its deadly payload. Unfortunately, the elven king couldn’t escape. She was still being pressed to the ground by the translucent pillar of light.

He could see that she was struggling to move, though. This was only causing the ground beneath her to crack and sink.

From where he was, he could appreciate the beauty of the situation. He nodded in understanding and said, "I think I see it now. She is being held to the ground by a hand as if she were some metal while the hammer is raised up to the air and poised to strike down on her."

Wrath grinned and asked, "Truly fitting, right?"

He spit out more sand from his mouth and nodded.

The sand in his mouth caused him to frown. But then his face changed when Wrath said, "Oh. Before I forget. You should probably run."

He wanted to scold her, but his face changed to fear as the sense of danger began to crawl up his back again. He turned and ran for his dear life.

He didn’t forget to curse. "Fuck you, Wrath!!!"

She laughed and said, "Don’t you just feel so alive?"

He didn’t reply. But then she had the guts to make demands of him.

She said, "Don’t run too far or I won’t be able to appreciate this sight."

He shouted back at her, "Fuck you...."

What he said was lost as a mighty roar shook the world and overwhelmed every sound in the world. It sounded like thunder. Except it was very long.

The white star in the sky burst, and violent energy came pouring down from it. This energy was purple and violet. Lightning flashed through it as it fell, and thunder boomed.

Fortunately, there was a pillar that confined its path, so the violent energy poured straight down on the demigod trapped at the bottom of the pillar. However, what the violent energy did after touching the ground was another thing entirely.

The demigod herself disappeared under the purple waterfall. As for the ground around her, it was heated to its melting point in a second.

The ground was burned and boiled into a lake of lava. This lake of lava was expanding and spreading into the surroundings too.

All of this happened in less than a second, so it was an explosion. The ground literally exploded as if there was a volcano underground erupting. Ash, fire, and rocks were thrown far into the distance.

The roar of it was deafening. The earth began to crack and spew lava. Kelvin was running away with all his might while Wrath was hollering excitedly beside him.

Rocks smashed into him, and lava hit him. The terrible heat behind and around him caused the air to warp.

Fortunately, he had Juggernaut’s Armament, so he was protected from the worst of it. Without his forcefield ability, he would be roasted by the heat alone, and he would surely die. After all, diamond is incredibly vulnerable to hit.

It was only until he was far away from the point of impact and was safe that he could look back to appreciate the extent of damage to the world that the Hammer of Dawn had caused.

When he looked back, he saw that an area of 100 kilometers in diameter had directly become a lake of lava. From where he stood, it looked like a furnace. He might even call it a blacksmith’s furnace.

He shook his head in awe and said, "Damn."

Wrath grinned and clapped like a happy child. She was too excited to speak, so she just nodded at him.

The translucent pillar in the sky was still there. It was still connected from the spacecraft to the ground, and the purple waterfall within the pillar was still pouring down.

He could see now that the waterfall looked more like liquid purple lightning. It is the best way he could describe it.

At least he could see what it looked like, unlike the blurry figure of the demigod standing beside the purple waterfall.

But as he watched, the purple waterfall ceased. The translucent pillar also flickered and disappeared.
