Destroying My Own World-Chapter 387: The world can’t handle them.
On the sixth day, Mykel was drinking in the bar on his own, and he tried to suppress the memory of that day. He suppressed the memory that he had forgotten about it already and so far there was no sign of Aevia knowing about it. He didn’t get his guard up pretending that she knew about it because that would only make it easier for her to notice.
"Drinking in the morning again?" Elysande looked at Mykel as she walked toward him.
"There’s nothing I can do, and I will use it to enjoy my time in solitude," Mykel answered and watched Elysande sit beside him. "Would you like some coffee?" He stood up and walked behind the counter.
"I would prefer a milk tea if there’s one," Elysande smiled as she looked at Mykel.
Mykel chuckled and then pulled out milk from under the counter and a cup of tea. It looked like he was going to put on a magic show in front of Elysande and then serve it to her while it was still hot. Although he served the milk tea, Elysande only stared at it and she looked a bit nervous.
"Mykel, there’s something that I would like to say. It’s about us, the three of us," Elysande looked at Mykel and she was playing with her fingers out of nervousness.
"She told you about what happened? Or perhaps you told her about what happened that day?" Mykel walked around the counter and sat next to Elysande.
"We both did, and we thought about it because we knew that we wouldn’t be able to solve this problem. Both of us love you, and we agreed that it would be better if we share your love," Elysande answered and she looked anxious. "I know that it sounded so selfish and immoral, and we are not asking to accept it. If you don’t want it, we will respect your decision and we understand that we asked for something impossible," she added as she grabbed the milk tea.
As always, Mykel didn’t show any expression and it made the atmosphere become so heavy. Elysande couldn’t help but keep sipping the milk tea until she realized that she had emptied the cup.
"I’ll give you the answer after dinner, and I will go to Her Highness’s office for that. I would like to have some time alone to think," Mykel said as he poured a glass of vodka. "I will see you later, Ely," he then took a sip of the vodka.
Elysande nodded and hummed with understanding as she stood up. She then left to give Mykel some space because she knew that she was bothering him.
The time flew by so quickly that it was already nighttime and everyone was enjoying dinner together. The atmosphere was different that Jessie could tell something was off between the three of them. She knew that both Elestria and Elysande had feelings for Mykel, but she turned a blind eye.
"The food was delicious as always," Jessie said as she wiped her mouth with a napkin. "I’m going to the library now to study some more before I rest for the day," she added and then left the dining hall after she excused herself.

Not long after that, Mykel excused himself and left the dining hall. Elestria and Elysande looked at each other, and then they both nodded their heads. They then left after they finished their food and went straight to Elestria’s office.
When Elestria and Elysande entered the office, Mykel was sitting at the desk with his arms crossed. He was staring at both of them without showing any expression. Elestria and Elysande closed the door behind them and they both looked so nervous because of how Mykel looked at them.
"I’m leaving tomorrow," Mykel said as soon as both Elestria and Elysande sat down on the sofa. "I don’t think this is going to work, and I don’t want any of this to begin with," he explained.
Elestria and Elysande were so shocked that their brains stopped working for a moment. They never thought Mykel would give that as an answer and it was worse than declining the offer they made. They felt hurt by Mykel’s answer while at the same time realizing they had done something wrong and believed he would accept it without thinking.
"Are we the reason that you have to leave?" Elysande asked and she looked anxious.
"Not entirely, but I’m planning to leave tomorrow even if you offered this or not. I have somewhere else to go, and I’m uncertain if I would go back here again," Mykel answered and kept his eyes focused on the door. "I have fulfilled my promise that I would go back. This time, I don’t know if I will go back or not," he pointed out.
"Where are you going?" Elestria asked as she stood up and walked to the door to prevent Mykel from leaving.
"Anywhere away from here," Mykel answered with his eyebrows raised as he stared into Elestria’s eyes. "I see that you’re trying to stop me, but I’m giving you a warning that I can easily force my way out. I can use different methods to do so," he warned.
Elestria didn’t say anything and kept standing at the door to challenge Mykel without any fear in her eyes. But, the moment Mykel walked toward her, she started to tremble because of his overwhelming presence.
When Mykel stood in front of Elestria, she collapsed and couldn’t move a muscle. Elysande was unable to move as well because of his presence and those who were in and around the palace.
"You both won’t have to suffer because I’m going to erase your memories about me. My existence will disappear in your head and you will be at ease and can live normally," Mykel looked at both of them with a cold expression. "Think about it. You won’t feel anything and you won’t be in pain if I left, so let’s meet in the throne room tomorrow in the morning if don’t want to suffer," he added and then left the office.
After Mykel left, Elestria and Elysande could move again, but they were still trembling in fear. They never thought Mykel would do something like that to them after he showed affection to both of them. Elysande then decided to help Elestria stand and brought her back to her chamber.
"Something isn’t right," Elestria said as she sat on the bed beside Elysande. "He showed his affection to both of us back then, but now he treated us coldly. Do you think he did that because he thinks it was for the best?" she asked.
"I also think that would be the case. We both know Mykel very well, and he’s not someone who would do something like that for no reason. He believed this was for the best," Elysande nodded her head in agreement.
"Then what should we do? Should we do that? Erasing our memories about him? We can’t convince Mykel because he’s not someone who would listen and would do anything his way," Elestria looked at Elysande with a worried expression.
Elysande was silent for a moment, thinking if she would be happy if she hadn’t met Mykel in the first place. She then wondered if that would change anything because, in the end, Mykel was the reason she and Elestria became a lot closer. Their bond as sisters was unbreakable because of him, and once they lost their memories of Mykel, what would happen to them? That was what worried Elysande.
"Do we have a choice?" Elysande raised her eyebrows as she stared blankly at the wall.
The morning came, and both Elestria and Elysande slept together for the first time in decades. They could barely get any sleep and the sun came up before they realized it, and they both prepared themselves to go to the throne room to meet Mykel.
When they entered the throne room, Mykel was already there, sitting on the stairs with a serious expression. Seeing both of them in the throne room, that meant they were ready to get their memories erased.
"So you have made up your mind?" Mykel asked.
"Before we do that, can I ask you something?" Elestria asked. "Are you doing this because you think it’s the best for both of us? I don’t see a reason why would you act so coldly toward us when you were so affectionate toward both of us back then," she added.
"The simplest answer is because I can’t give you what you want, a descendant," Mykel answered. "With the power that I possess, do you think what will happen if they possess the same power as I am? Do you think this world can handle them?" he asked back.

Mykel’s reason was enough to make both Elestria and Elysande realize that it would be terrifying to have babies with Mykel’s power. The world would be turned upside-down and history would repeat itself and lots of people would suffer because of them.
"I hope you understand," Mykel said as he stood up and then approached both of them.
Elestria and Elysande still wanted to convince Mykel that they could find a solution to that problem. But, the problem was Mykel was determined to erase their memories and he knew better than them about the power he possessed and how terrifying they were.
When Mykel was about to erase both of their memories, someone barged into the throne room. A maid was out of breath when she entered, and she looked panicked.
"Y-Your Majesty! There’s someone barged into the palace, and she defeated all the guards!" The maid said.
Mykel furrowed his eyebrows and walked past Elestria and Elysande to check who was crazy enough to barge into the palace. Although there were no more Gifted, for someone to enter the palace and defeat all the guards on her own was already impossible.
When Mykel walked down to the main hall, he was shocked when he saw who it was. He couldn’t believe it at first and thought he was dreaming or hallucinating, but the moment the woman smiled at him, he was convinced it was her.
"Hi," Elena smiled at Mykel.
