Divine Convenience Store-Chapter 544: Absolute Immunity
From the brown summoning circle, a hulking monstrosity of rock and soil appeared. It had no legs and its body appeared to be merging with the ground. Its four arms were thick pillars of what looked like granite.
Compared to the ape from Floor 4, the entity that had been generated was well and truly without flesh.

From the dark summoning circle, a feline nightmare emerged. It was a panther the size of a carriage and its body seemed to be made of shifting shadows that drink the light around it.

"A rock that eats lightning and a cat that eats light," Xiaoyu scoffed as she read what was written at the windows that popped up above the two entities.
While the information provided was less than the previous floors, it was more than enough to understand that the strength of the entities before them was on par with their cultivation base and not the artificially enhanced one.
"They really tailored this for us, huh? Boss, that rock looks sturdy. I bet it can still not take my punch even without lightning!"
"Of course. You ate that expensive meal and you’re an anomaly with your physique. If it just possesses the strength of an average peak Foundation Establishment Stage cultivator, there’s no way it’ll survive you, immune to your lightning or not."
Lin Mo shook his head as Liu Xiaoyu’s eyes sparkled with pride, taking his words as praise.
"Anyways, let’s stick to the plan. But first, let’s see if we can take our counterpart down on our own. They should be weaker than us because of the buff that hadn’t been replicated by the tower."
"Oh! I like that, Boss! Maybe we can pass this Floor 5 easily because we’re a lot stronger because of our meal!"
"Don’t be complacent, my prodigious assistant. The tower isn’t stupid. It might adjust on the fly." Lin Mo warned, though he felt the same surge of confidence coursing through his veins. The [Divine Vitality Surge] was a heady drug. His spiritual sea felt like an ocean. It felt vast and tempestuous and eager to be unleashed. He could even feel the first three starlight qi nodes for his third constellation gradually forming.
Perhaps once they finished this tower, he’d be able to complete another one, putting him up to half of the required constellations to complete the thirty-six Heavenly Stars Formation of the second layer of [Starflow Mediation Manual].
When that happens, he’ll reach the peak of the Foundation Establishment Stage and be a step away to form his core.
"Now, go!"
With a unified shout, they launched themselves forward.
Liu Xiaoyu became a streak of golden lightning, aiming straight for the [Ground-Fault Golem]. Her fist, wrapped in the enhanced storm qi of her boosted state, shrieked through the air.
"Eat this! [Nine Heavens Storm: Thunderclap Annihilation]!"
It was a reckless opening move. But she was testing the brute force against absolute immunity.

The impact shook the entire arena as dust and stone chips exploded outwards.
But when the cloud cleared, the Golem stood unmoved. The lightning from Xiaoyu’s strike arced harmlessly across its granite surface, grounding itself into the earth without leaving so much as a scorch mark.
What an absurd ability. Won’t it be impossible for other challengers to clear this? Or is it because we’re a duo that the tower gave it absolute immunity? Lin Mo thought.
The Golem raised two of its massive arms and slammed them down with the speed of a falling mountain.
Liu Xiaoyu deftly dodged and backflipped away. However, the shockwave churned the ground beneath her, forcing her to expend more energy just to regain her footing.
"Oh... okay, so ’Lightning Immunity’ isn’t a suggestion," She grumbled as she dusted off her uniform. "It really ate it all. That’s cheating, Boss!"

He thrust his spear forward, channeling a concentrated beam of starlight qi.

The beam pierced the air, aiming for the panther’s head. However, just before impact, the Stalker’s shadow-body rippled.
The starlight didn’t pass through, get reflected or dispersed. It was swallowed.
The Eclipse Stalker opened its maw and seemed to inhale the attack. And as though digesting it, its form grew slightly larger and denser.
Then, without wasting a second, it lunged at him.
Lin Mo immediately saw claws extending into razors of solidified darkness that seemed to tear through space.
He immediately activated his [Stellar Domain], expanding the field to suppress the creature.
However, with the feline being a creature of the Void, it moved through his domain with not much difficulty. It was as if it were swimming through its natural element.
He barely managed to bring his spear up to parry.
CLANG!
The impact sent him skidding back ten meters, his boots leaving trails of fire on the stone floor.
"So that’s what Light Absorption and Intangibility mean. How utterly absurd." Lin Mo muttered as his eyes narrowed, trying to assess the situation. "And it’s fast. My movement technique might not be able to confuse it."
He glanced at Xiaoyu, who was currently engaging in a frustrating game of tag with the Golem’s four arms.
She was faster, stronger, and hit harder, but every blow she landed felt hollow and her storm qi was dissipating on contact.
"Alright, it’s still difficult even with our enhanced strength. It needs coordination or... the switching strategy. Xiaoyu, switch!" Lin Mo called out.
"Got it! Tag me in, Boss!"
As though she had been waiting for that signal, Liu Xiaoyu dodged the Golen’s arm and used it as a springboard, launching herself high into the air.
Up in the air, she twisted her body and changed her trajectory with a burst of her storm qi.
She turned into golden lightning, leaving numerous afterimages like a certain speedster.
She wasn’t aiming for the Golem anymore, instead, she aimed for the shadow that was currently trying to maul her boss.
"Hey, Kitty! Catch!"
The young woman descended like a meteor, her fist crackled with lightning and the pure, kinetic force of a falling star.
The [Eclipse Stalker], focused entirely on Lin Mo, sensed the threat too late.
It tried to shift into its intangible form, to let the attack pass through.
But Xiaoyu’s attack wasn’t just physical. It was charged with the chaotic, disruptive energy of a storm.
CRACK-ZIZZZT!
Her fist slammed into the Stalker’s flank, which was in the process of becoming faint.
The creature shrieked with a sound like tearing metal as the lightning bypassed its shadow defense.
Light Absorption worked on pure light, but lightning? Lightning was energy, heat, and plasma. It fried the shadow from the inside out.
The Eclipse Stalker was blasted sideways, crashing into a pillar and shattering it. Its form flickered, destabilized by the massive influx of incompatible energy.
"Heh! Not so intangible now, are you?" Liu Xiaoyu cheered as she landed gracefully. "Boss, go!"
"You don’t have to remind me." Lin Mo smilingly shook his head as he dashed towards the Ground-Fault Golem, ignoring the limping feline.
The Golem, which sensed a new target, swiveled its torso with a grinding sound.
It raised all four arms, preparing to crush the tiny human who dared approach it.
Without slowing down, Lin Mo activated [Qi Solidification].
A translucent slide of starlight materialized beneath his feet, launching him upwards, right over the Golem’s clumsy swing.
He soared past its head and spun in the air.
"You like earth?" Lin Mo whispered as his eyes glowed with the amethyst hue of his Psionic-Tempered qi. "Let’s see how you handle the stars."
He condensed his [Stellar Domain] into a single, needle-thin point at the tip of his spear and channeled the principles of the [Flowing Star Combat Style], turning his entire body into a drill.
[Argentum Starbreaker]!
The cube containing the Decanus Set suddenly flew out of his pocket and immediately equipped the ten armor pieces into his body.
With the Aether Crystal humming in resonance with his starlight qi, the piercing strike became even more devastating than when he used it against the ape.
Driving the spear down, he aimed for the joints where the granite limbs met the earthen torso.
CRUNCH!
The spear bit deep. The starlight qi acted as a wedge, forcing the earth qi apart.
The Golem roared like a grinding tectonic plate as its connection to the ground was disrupted.
Then his spearpoint continued to the exposed core of the golem, cracking it cleanly like a shiny marble.
As its body started to crumble, Lin Mo leaped away as stone spikes erupted from its skin before exploding into pieces.
"Xiaoyu! I’m done here. The cat is stunned! Finish it!" He hollered
"On it, Boss!"
She didn’t need to be told twice. As the Stalker was trying to reform by knitting its shadow body back together, she flashed in front of it, her hands blurring as she unleashed a flurry of punches.
"Ora ora ora ora!"
Each punch was a thunderclap. Each impact injected a massive dose of golden lightning into the creature’s core. The Stalker convulsed, its shadow form boiling away under the onslaught.
With a final, devastating uppercut, she sent the creature flying into the air.
"And stay down!" She shouted, clasping her hands together and firing a concentrated beam of lightning that disintegrated the remaining shadows before they could hit the ground.
