Dragged Into Another World Because of My Otaku Friend-Chapter 176: Don’t Make That Face
Me, Bob, and Linus stood side by side while Lunar closed her eyes, trying to focus. Both of her hands were raised forward.
Maya, Evelyn, and the others stole glances at us from time to time while continuing to fight the monsters.
"All the best to you three. We’ll do our best out here," William said.
We nodded to him.
Soon, a purple magical array appeared beneath our feet. I could feel the mana flowing from it.
Lunar kept focusing, her eyes tightly shut while frowning. I couldn’t help but feel pity for her. But if she said she wanted to help, then I would bet all my hope on her.
"Veil Magic, Invisible!"
Lunar shouted. At the same time, the array shone brightly. After that, it felt like a dream.
I couldn’t see my hands, my body, or my feet. It was as if I was floating.
"Whoaa! It’s really working. We’re invisible now!" Bob cheered. But I didn’t know what he was actually doing since I couldn’t see him.
"So that girl really can do it. I’m sorry, Lunar, for my harsh words," Linus said.
Lunar smiled happily, then fainted. William caught her and lifted her into his arms.
"Looks like she used a lot of mana. Don’t worry about her," William said.
"Now, you three! Don’t waste Lunar’s effort. Go inside before the effect starts fading," Mirinda ordered. "And come back in one piece."
"Right. Let’s go!" I shouted, and we immediately moved. I called back Plump while Bob called back Mina.
We moved left and right, evading the hordes of monsters. As expected, they didn’t notice us.
"This magic is too OP, dude. I wonder if I can cast it myself," Bob said in a perverted voice.
"Shut up! The monsters can’t see us, but they can definitely hear us," I scolded him. That guy really had no common sense.
And just as I expected, the monsters started to sense something wrong. Some of them slammed their weapons into the ground near us.
"Tch! They’re really clever. I admit that," I muttered. But after a few minutes of evading and dodging the monsters’ blind attacks, we finally got close to the mansion’s entrance.
Then suddenly, two monsters that resembled a tiger and a hyena leapt into the air and lunged straight at us. I barely managed to evade the hyena.
"Why are they able to see us?" I asked in confusion.
"These monsters can detect us by smell!" Linus said.
"Damn it. It must be because of your strong smell, Bob!" I said.
"Mind your mouth, buddy, or I’ll kick your ass!" Bob snapped back.
Both monsters turned around and stood right in front of the entrance, as if guarding it.
Suddenly, the invisibility effect began to fade. I could see the silhouette of a big, fat guy beside me. My own hand also started to reappear.
"Crap! We’re becoming visible," Bob said nervously. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
This was bad timing. We were only a few meters from our objective, but now we were stuck. Behind us were hundreds of monsters that still hadn’t noticed us yet.
Just as I was about to ready my Indra for battle, suddenly a whip appeared out of nowhere and struck the tiger beast, wrapping around it before throwing it to the side. At the same time, a man dropped from the sky and slammed into the hyena, knocking it away.
We turned and saw Githa and Llyod standing there.
"What are you doing here?" Bob asked. It was clear he still hadn’t settled things with Githa.
"Hmmm. If it weren’t for saving the princess, I wouldn’t waste my time saving you. However..." Githa inhaled deeply, then exhaled. "Please... save our princess."
Llyod nodded.
It was only a few words, but they were enough to tell us how desperate they were and how much they were depending on us. They must have felt terrible after what happened to the one they had already vowed to protect with their lives.
We ascended the stairs and passed through them. When Bob was beside Githa, he stopped and said to her, who clearly looked depressed, "Tch! Don’t make that face. Of course we will save her." Then he joined us and ran inside.
Githa looked at our backs, her heart suddenly feeling a glint of hope, before she turned toward the monsters approaching them up the stairs.
"You shall not pass!" Llyod shouted.
As I heard the commotion outside, we kept moving forward. The inside of the mansion was very large, and it must have been very beautiful—if not for all the damage on the ground, walls, and ceiling.
"Look!" We suddenly stopped when we saw dark-robed guys lying all over the floor, some even stuck inside the walls.
"Don’t tell me that Reymond guy defeated them alone?" Bob said in amazement.
"No time to wonder about that. Just keep moving," Linus said.
We ran past them and finally saw a big opening in front of us. It was supposed to hold the doors, but it had already been smashed apart.
As we entered, my eyes immediately caught a dreadful scene. Reymond was lying on the floor, bleeding. The princess was on the ground. And that Azul guy was raising his blade toward Reymond.
Bang!
I instinctively raised my Indra and fired at Azul.
The bullet missed and struck near Reika. Azul leapt onto the railing of the second floor above.
"Oops! Sorry, Princess. I didn’t mean to shoot at you!" I shouted.
Azul looked at us. From the torn and bloodstained robes, it was clear he was injured, which amazed me. Just how much damage had Reymond managed to inflict on him?
"The heroes finally arrive," Azul said. "Always coming at the right moment to save the day."
I ignored him and rushed to Reymond. Bob and Linus covered me while keeping their eyes locked on Azul.
"Prince! Prince! Are you alright?" I applied basic first aid, checking his pulse and breathing. He was still alive, but weak. A deep wound on the left side of his abdomen kept bleeding heavily.
"I need to heal him first, at least stop the bleeding. Summon Mina, Bob."
Bob summoned Mina, and she immediately began healing Reymond.
"Alan, I think I need to use Hero Grace for this. While you heal him, I don’t think that evil guy will let us do it easily," Bob said.
"And Linus, you save the princess and bring her to safety," Bob added, suddenly acting like the main character.
Normally, I would never agree to such reckless use of Hero Grace. But in this situation, we had no choice. Linus and I nodded.
Bob stepped forward toward Azul and activated our ultimate skill.
"Hero Grace!"
