Dual Cultivation God Returns-Chapter 887: Crash-course
Chapter 887: Crash-course
Wu Long decided not to relinquish the decision to spare the Helian Family’s rogue members since he already made it once, simply placing a seal on their memories of what happened with the Bao Family’s people, or that they showed up here at all, with Cai Yin’s help.
It wasn’t even a strong seal, and would last only about a century, but by that time Wu Long would either be already far away, or the Bao Family would not exist for this information to become problematic.
By the time all of this was done, Old Yen, Kwon Qianhong, Nie Guanting and Butler Bang returned along with the Wu Family servants.
There were minor injuries among the latter group, but nothing that couldn’t be solved by applying some medicine and recuperating.
Although Gong Liwei was eager, she did not yet have the level of skill with the Wood attribute that would allow her to start using it for Medicine Dao. This, however, only intensified her determination to train and continue improving.
And as they were dealing with the aftermath, the dawn broke, illuminating a new, brighter future on the Helian Family, their last regrets and doubts gone in the fire of the mansion.
Helian Muyang could never have guessed that his decision to give away his physique, would lead to his family not only avoiding the brewing trouble within it, but also to receive a chance at unprecedented prosperity stretching far into the future, a chance to, as part of a greater whole, achieve true greatness.
The Helian Family had a herd of 450 middle-sized flying Beasts of Burden used commercially for shipping, and three larger herds of small ground-based Beasts of Burden, each of those about 800 heads.
They sold about 10-20% of the larger beasts in a century, and 20-30% of the smaller ones in a decade, which allowed them to maintain the herd sizes with the breeding cycles of the Beasts of Burden.
Their other assets included 30 million and change of Wei Dynasty gold, though most of it, 20 million to be exact, was in land, 5 million was in valuables and stock of animal feed, and another 5 million was either in cash or deposited with the Thousand Treasures Hall.
The withdrawal of all their deposited assets would certainly catch attention, but it was just a minor transaction of a regional noble house which decided to relocate their family business, when viewed from a larger scale of the trading company, not exactly something that they needed to worry about.
The land, however, was unlikely to sell for its full price as it was sold on a short notice.
Wu Long did not want to linger here for long, so that no one came looking for the Young Master of the Bao Family, even if that was unlikely according to Li Weifang, who told them they were expecting to finish their work here within a decade, and weren’t really disturbed for any other tasks. Not to mention, that there was still the matter of the Soft Meadow Continent they had to return to.
However, Kwon Qianhong outright said to leave it to him, almost tearing up at the notion of just selling the land at the discounted price and being done with it.
He asked, no, he begged, to give him two weeks, which Wu Long agreed to, mostly to put a stop to that conversation rather than being persuaded, along with full cooperation of Old Yen and Nie Guanting.
Wu Long could use that time to start teaching Li Weifang, as he had plans for him now that he did become his follower.
Although Wu Long did leave methods of protection for Chen Hui and the Princess, now that he encountered the Yingmu Assassins League in these lands, he became a bit more apprehensive about their safety.
At least until Chen Hui reached Essence Ignition Realm, or better, if he reached 2nd level. Because at that point he would be among the strongest practitioners within the Wei Dynasty, and as long as he wasn’t openly attacked by someone who had a lot to lose from such a stunt, or by the Imperial Family itself, no schemes were likely to harm the two.
It also worked well as Chen Hui practiced Spear Arts, which Li Weifang could help him train in, having been trained more as a Spear Master than a Halberd Master by his previous teacher. thus doubling as a protector and the one who trains Chen Hui faster.
Of course, to send off Li Weifang without even giving him a bit of training was not something a Teacher would do, at least it wasn’t Wu Long’s style.
Thus, Wu Long decided to give him a two-week crash course, which was also part of the reason he agreed to give Kwon Qianhong that time.
He could also record some jade slips with Wu Long’s notes and observations of where Li Weifang’s current level was, in which direction he could look to improve, as well as a new cultivation method and a few minor Halberd Arts techniques.
This would keep him busy as he protected Chen Hui and the Princess while Wu Long dealt with things on the Soft Meadow Continent.
It was yet unclear how much time it would take for things to become settled down there though, so Wu Long hoped that Chen Hui would reach an optimal level of strength sooner with help of Li Weifang, and thus the latter would be freed up to go to the Soft Meadow Continent right about when he ran out of things to learn from Jade Slips that Wu Long recorded, as well as things to ponder from his two-weeks crash course. frёeωebɳovel.com
“I still cannot understand… haa~ haa~ haa~… how… are you so strong to keep up with me in strength and speed?”, Li Weifang collapsed without any strength left, closer to nightfall on the third day of training, having gone through hell over and over.
Wu Long smiled, “You’ll gradually learn how”
He wasn’t keeping Li Weifang at a distance, but everything had to come gradually, including what information about the Eternal Duality Valley, and especially about Wu Long he was given.
Not only in terms of how much trust he gained, but also in terms of natural progression, as it was far better for him to learn things a little at a time to really be able to take them in and come to terms with them, just like it was for everyone else who came before him.
At the same time, Wu Long inwardly chuckled, thinking that Li Weifang, in a sense, got lucky as well, ‘If it was before I got the Extreme Yang Physique, I really would’ve struggled to keep up in terms of speed and raw power, and there likely wouldn’t have been much leeway to spare his life. I’d have to fight with the intent to kill him as fast as possible’
After all, an Extreme Yang Physique massively amplified his physical potential in all aspects, not just in Dual Cultivation, but in terms of his base constitution.
Coupled with his Body Tempering which already put him on par with Extreme Yang Physique holders in his Realm and even higher, and the fact his Extreme Yang Physique was a Natural Physique, the effects multiplied to produce a monstrous strength, agility, endurance and toughness that he could never achieve at this stage of cultivation without it.
After all, it wasn’t just a fancy name which made Extreme Yang Physiques so valued among men and Extreme Yin Physiques among women.
Although, it was also Wu Long’s luck that Li Weifang was someone aspiring for the way of a martial artist, and thus the combat took the form of skill rather than power of Spiritual Qi and techniques, as that would have been quite a bit harder to go against with such a huge gap in Realms.
“Come on then, my Huan’er worked hard to make the Stamina Replenishing Pills for you, so you better take one and get up to continue in 10 minutes”, Wu Long then chuckled, as he considered the time he spent thinking about this, which was less than a minute, enough for a break.
