Chapter 100: His Biological Children

"Do you actually like him?"

Celine was taken aback by that question. She didn’t want to dwell on why he suddenly asked her that.

Raising an eyebrow, she replied, "I don’t think that concerns you at all."

He suddenly took a step closer to her, the sudden movement towards her brought a whiff of his expensive perfume which had a sharp, woody scent, a fragrance that oozed dominance, just like him. Celine took a step backwards to avoid him, close proximity with him was something she had to avoid.

His gaze flicked down to the distance between them, the displeasure in his eyes mounting before he warned her in a stern tone. "Stay away from him."

"You have no right to tell me what to do." She said, despite the expression in his eyes beginning to look quite frightening.

There was anger... perhaps rage even, but why?

What exactly was he doing here, was it really just to take her back to work?

"And I can be around whoever I want to, my life has nothing to do with you." She didn’t know why he wanted to intrude in her life but it was best to keep a boundary, after all they were nothing, not even friends.

Her words seemed to stump him judging from how his facial expression suddenly turned stiff, an unfathomable emotion dancing within his eyes, slowly those hazel orbs seemed to glow like embers burning at the core.

Celine looked away, shifting her gaze elsewhere. "It’s getting late, I’ll be going home now."

"Did I permit you to leave?" He suddenly grabbed her arm before she could move pulling her towards him, her eyes went wide, bewildered.

Tristan wanted to identify that feeling, the one he just had when she said her life had nothing to do with him. Why had he felt a sharp burn in his chest, as if someone had just plunged a dagger into his heart?

She was all he could think about, all he could focus on, he thought about her even when he was not supposed to, and all she had to say to him was she had nothing to do with him? That her life didn’t concern him?

It did concern him, every fucking minute of the day because she was...

What was she to him?

What did he want from her?

He gave her those conditions himself five years ago, he was the one who promised never to see her again then why...after five fucking years couldn’t he stop feeling this way?

"Mr Grayson!" She glared at him and pulled her arm out of his hold, she looked like she wanted to say something more but changed her mind and angrily walked away.

Tristan stood on the spot, confused himself. What was he doing?

Why was he entertaining such feelings for her?

He never believed in love or anything of the sort and he had vowed to never be tied with any woman, he had rejected every woman that came his way after being with Celine, no one else had been able to compare to her.

He could feel it, he could feel himself slowly slipping away, he could feel her winding around his heart in a way he wouldn’t be able to control, and he had control over everything, but not the way he felt about her.

Feelings like these were just weaknesses, feelings like these would make him become like his father.

Something sharp fleeted past his eyes.

He knew he was attracted to her, deeply attracted but these feelings were beginning to cross the borders of attraction, they made him fiercely possessive in a way that he didn’t want her with anyone else but himself. They made him want to be around her, every damn second of the day. He knew this was something more, something strange... something that shouldn’t be tolerated.

He was Tristan Grayson, and the word love was not in his vocabulary. Tristan shook his head as if to awaken himself from whatever nightmare this could be.

He had to break out of this...as soon as possible.

The lights were dim in the parking lot of Levix restaurant, a black Audi could be seen parked away in the shadows.

Erica’s fingers tightened painfully over the steering wheel as her expression turned ugly, her dark eyes were sharp with a furiously murderous intent. Her knuckles turned white but her grip on the wheel only got tighter as if she wanted to break something in half.

She had confirmed her suspicion, Tristan really did have feelings for that woman.

His reaction...she had never seen him react like that to anything or anyone before. That woman had merely just gone out with his cousin and he drove so speedily without caring about crashing just to get to her.

She slammed her palm against the steering wheel with a furious cry tearing out of her throat.

"Fall in love with her all you want, but I’ll never let you find out the truth." A twisted look made her features look like the reincarnation of a she-demon whose only purpose was to cause destruction.

Yes, she would never let him find out. Erica heaved breathing heavily to calm her rage.

The person she had assigned to keep an eye on Celine had made a report to her this morning. Celine was living in a corner part of the city, she was seen with two little children who didn’t look older than five years old.

Erica’s heart had jumped at that information. This couldn’t be...

She had suspected it, Celine had been pregnant five years ago, attempted to have the pregnancy aborted but then backed out from it according to the hospital reports, and now she had children with her not older than five.

Erica didn’t want to believe it at the time, she had asked Henry to send her a picture of the said children.

She could still recall the feeling she had when she was staring at those pictures...

What she had been most afraid of had been confirmed, the kids looked almost exactly like Tristan, especially the male of the twins.

Those...were Tristan’s kids, his biological children.

"They’re Tristan’s little bastards!" She yelled within the space of the car, unable to contain her fury.
