Dungeon of Niflheim-Chapter 905: Leaving Niflheim (3) End of volume 11
"My love I think it’s time for you to finish what you started." Said Frost with a slightly morose expression, dreading this separation no less than Khione but unlike her he was able to focus on the future rather than the painful present. Perhaps because this was not his first love nor his first time leaving home alas what needed to happen needed to happen.
He had received her heartfelt gifts so now it was time for her to send him off, to say goodbye to the man that had wormed his way so deeply into her heart.
Hearing his words and after desperately searching her brain for a way to delay the inevitable and coming up short tears formed in Khione’s eyes, the pain in her expression being enough to make any sane man’s heart bleed.
Frost wanted to pull her in close, the ease her pain with untold affection but this was a pain she needed to endure. He could not stay.
"....I don’t want you to go!" As the tears started to trickle down her cheeks Khione rushed forward taking Frost in her arms, holding him tight to the point that he struggled to breathe.
"I know Khione, I know but I have to" Frost fought off his own tears as he returned her hug in kind, ignoring any physical pain or physical bliss he felt as Khione’s seductive body pressed and deformed against his own.
"Our separation is but temporary, remember that my love. Hold true to the sensation that my touch brings you, use it as courage to blaze your own trail but do not rush, for I will wait for you for as long as you need." He gently whispered in her ear, his right hand running through the strands of her hair while his left found purchase on that bountiful ass of hers, taking a firm grip as though etching the shape and texture in his heart.
Having her by his side sooner was certainly better from his perspective but for Khione this decision was far more complicated. She who had never left the confines of Niflheim not only had to take a leap of faith in regards to love but also needed to face the daunting aspect that all children faced....leaving the nest.
Given her frame and outward personality you wouldn’t think that the latter would be such a big deal but that’s where you’d be wrong. At her core Khione retained much of her childlike nature, stunting much of her maturity while also making leaving that which she felt comfortable with that much harder.
Khione was such an emotional wreck that she didn’t even register Frost’s lust filled grip, too busy sobbing against his chest doing her best to memorise his smell and the feel of his body as it laid between her arms.
The two remained entwined for a couple minutes neither really wanting to let go but unfortunately the longer they dragged this out the more time was of the essence. Eventually after wantonly ignoring a couple choice coughs from both Tengliu -who was brimming with jealously- and Shivali who was the only one bar Frost that knew just how tight his schedule truly was the great Primordial Ice King had to speak up.
"Daughter, Frost really needs to head off no....."
"SHUT UP I’M SAYING MY GOODBYES!!!" Practically the instant his voice entered her ears Khione’s entire expression underwent a devilish transformation. All her pain and reluctance at seeing her man go was thus redirected in the form of fury and wrath towards the man she called father.
With clenched teeth, a reddened face, throbbing veins and a glare so fierce Shivali literally shivered in his shoes in the face of it. Him her father, a God that had existed since Nova’s conception and the honoured King of this magnificent realm was nothing but a punching bag for his daughter’s anger, powerless to resist her....he loved and cherished her too much.
With his heart on the verge of breaking and his emotions as dour as they could get Shivali barely held back the urge to quietly move to one side and start drawing circles in the snow with hot tears streaming down his face.
"Haaaaaaa" Realising that this time he was well and truly suffering, as his devoted wife and the mother of the demon that hurt him Freyja no longer kept her distance, smoothly appearing by his side, offering a degree of support. "You’re just the unfortunate victim, best to let any insults and aggression she tosses your way in one ear and out the other." She said in a comforting tone as she intertwined her hand with his.
"Frey~" The old man was practically injected with chicken blood, his heart resurging like a flower in spring.
’So easy to coax, just like a child.’ Freyja couldn’t help but find her darling husband adorable, pondering whether or not to give him some sort of reward for the pain he was about to suffer the moment Frost walked through the portal he provided.
With her man gone and the attack on her private life still left unanswered hell was certain to run rampant through the halls of the palace in the foreseeable future, a means to distract herself from her pain. Shivali being the simplistic fool he was, a sucker for punishment and unfortunately guilty of taking part in the travesty and lacking the wit and charisma to lessen his crime was guaranteed to suffer the most. Best to give him some degree of comfort, last rites so he doesn’t buckle under the pressure.
Finding even her rage adorable Frost lightly chuckled before taking hold of her chin, forcing Khione to look back at him and only him. He gazed into the depths of her large consuming eyes almost getting lost in their beauty before revealing a teasing smirk. A second later in front of her parents and her sister Khione’s plump lips were conquered. Her handsome paramour stole a sudden kiss, enveloping ever millimetre of her lips and even attacking her tongue. It wasn’t full of lust like his previous attacks but no less deep and no less pleasurable. Khione quickly found her mind becoming foggy, her anger and pain dissolving, replaced by desire and warmth. She forgot about where she was, those standing around her and the reason they were all here. The only thing present in her mind at this moment was the sensation of Frost’s lips against her own, her left leg even started to arch upwards as the bliss overwhelmed her. Her emotions so strained that just a simple kiss was enough to leave her in a muddled daze.
"Farewell my dear, until next we meet." Reluctantly but at the same time confidently Frost pried himself from her ruby delights, caressed her cheek in a loving manner and gave her one last, tight embrace before walking towards his Uncle and future father in law. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"I’m ready." He nodded his head after sharing a complicated look with the great King.
"Very well, your coordinates will be roughly an hours journey from their encampment, use the soul orb to find their exact position and do be careful there’s a lot more than the Lunar maidens dwelling in that mountain range." Shivali gave one last word of warning before waving his right arm conjuring what appeared to be a dimensional portal, a gateway linking this point in space to a boundary between the external and inner regions of the Glacial mountains.
"Oh and I almost forgot, since you’ll likely not be able to return to Niflheim any time soon and since the day Khione actually leaves is completely in the wind these should help tide you over." Just as Kiba sauntered over to Frost’s side and they were readying themselves for a bout of internal discomfort given the distance they’d be travelling Shivali pulled out a couple high quality, thick books and handed them over.
"Though it lacks in comparison to having a dedicated teacher the written word can offer its own insights and discoveries....I’m curious to see how far you can go when it comes to the spear arts I developed." The books contained highly detailed writings on the proceeding stages of the Niflheim royal family spear arts, primarily offensive, defensive and movement skills that paired seamlessly with the [Lunar eyes], areas that Khione didn’t have the time to teach nor even really gloss over.
Like a child getting a really expensive gift Frost’s eyes lit up, his hands lightly trembling as he understood the gravity of what he’d just been given.
’With these in hand my strength is certain to soar to greater heights.’ Once he was back at the Dungeon and a schedule had been set up to shore up its lacking defences and military power his primary goal would be to enhance his own strength. And delving into the intricacies of the Niflheim royal family spear arts was a sure way to go about it.
"Thank you Uncle...farewell." He gave genuine thanks before taking a bold step towards the conjured portal with Kiba by his side.
""Farewell Frost."" Said both Freyja and Shivali with warm expressions.
"I’ll be seeing you little Frost, good luck out there." Tengliu’s voice was flirtatious and teasing as was her mannerisms as she blew him a sweet kiss and winked.
Before taking the final step into the portal however he turned back so as to lay one last longing look on the woman he loved. She was so beautiful even with puffy eyes reddened by tears, if only he could whisk her away right now he’d be absolutely golden.
He didn’t speak, he’d already said what needed to be said so he simply gazed at her strong yet fragile figure with bottomless affection. A look that was merely a few seconds yet to the both of them felt like eons but at the same time not long enough.
His heart on the brink of wavering Frost turned away to leave this magical realm.
"Frost!" Khione called out the instant he turned away. "...I’ll make sure to pay you back for stealing that kiss." She forced herself to smile, wiping away the tears in her eyes and rolling down her cheeks with her sleeve, intending to leave him a happy picture to remember her by rather than one that was sad.
"Hehehe I look forward to it." With those as his final words Frost and Kiba fully stepped into the blue coloured portal, vanishing from view.
