Although the Pegasus wasn't a small ship, when compared against the tall buildings it looked like a bee in a flower field, though instead of collecting the precious nectar it was actually bumping into skyscrapers due to Emma's inexperience.

It would have been easier for her if she was able to rise above the buildings level, but they didn't want to draw any unnecessary attention towards themselves since they knew some of the hybrids had access to a wide variety of traits, some of which could be dangerous even at a distance.

With each bump, the party shouted all sorts of curses, but the angriest was Medusa who didn't stop threatening Emma with skinning her alive if she put a dent in her beautiful 'baby'. None of that helped the know it all journalist wannabe to fly any better, though, and the bumpy ride continued for a while until the east wall was finally on sight.

Directly bellow them, the city seemed to be in peace, but that was only what they were able to perceive from the distance. As the ship descended, it became clear the whole district had turned into a blood bath. There were signs of a dire battle and scorch marks and craters everywhere, but most of the buildings resisted the enemy onslaught thanks to them being reinforced with alloy.

"I can't go any lower." Emma blurted out apologetically.

"I guess it's time. Thanks for bringing us here, now try to help evacuating the citizens as soon as you go back." Uriel said.

"Wait, I'm here to record your incursion, I'm coming with you guys, like it or not." Emma asserted as she left her post, but as soon as she let go of the wheel the ship started drifting.

"You can't come this time, but I'll make it up to you." Was all Uriel replied before heading towards the cargo hold followed closely by Medusa and Luna.

"Do you think it's safe to jump from this height?" Medusa asked, not wanting to admit she was scared to make the jump, but Luna didn't give her any time to hesitate and mercilessly pushed her blind friend.

"What? She's a heavenly rank." Luna muttered as an excuse before taking the jump herself before Uriel had the chance to scold her.

Medusa shrieked the whole time she fell, which was no longer than a few seconds as she landed on top of a building that was directly beneath the zeppelin and the only wound she sustained was on her pride. Her heavenly rank constitution allowed her to fall from such heights without any harm, but that wasn't the case for Luna who was the only remaining ascended hunter in their current party.

However, instead of landing on the rooftop like Medusa so inelegantly did, Luna decided to aim to the side of the next building and use her orichalcum claws to slow her fall until she was able to jump towards Medusa.

After confirming that his partners landed safely, Uriel took a little impulse to follow them, with such bad luck that Emma failed to keep the ship steady and bumped into a building right before he was able to jump.

After the same short fall Medusa experienced, the result was pretty similar, only instead of landing face first on the concrete like her, Uriel landed right on top of Medusa.

It could have been a chance for her to help him land safely since she had the necessary strength, though she lacked the spatial awareness because of her blindfold and instead of a romantic scene, the result were two injured heavenly rank hunters at the very beginning of their incursion.

Thankfully to them both, Luna didn't forget to bring her med kit and after a quick check up Luna finally gave her assessment of the situation.

"It's just some bruises, but everything will be fine once I give you some serum." She said as she took out a syringe from her med kit. Uriel could have sworn a maddened glint appeared on her face which sent shivers down his spine, then he wondered if maybe it had always been there and only now he was technically her patient she was able to see it.

Her cold demeanor and merciless nature may have seemed like a hindrance to her specialization as a field medic, but in reality it was the complete opposite. Luna was capable of detaching her emotions and treating people as though they were just piles of flesh, which ironically gave her and edge as it allowed her to remain calm and collected even during battle.

"Next time you decide to fall on top of someone, choose me. I promise I'll catch you." She said with a bare face after applying the serum.

"I'll... keep the offer in mind." Was all Uriel could say in return.

"I'd like to see you try to catch someone at over fifty kilometers per hour." Medusa scoffed after swiftly calculating the speed at which they must have fallen from that height. Breaking numbers came naturally to her and solving that kind of physic problems was as easy as breathing to someone like her.

"But you can't see." Luna pointed out with what Medusa took as a glare.

After their shameful landing, the party decided not to risk climbing down the building like they initially planned and decided to use the stairs. It was more time consuming, but also less dangerous for them as the building was supposed to be empty.

The top floors of the building were pent houses owned by the wealthier inhabitants and Uriel couldn't help but pick up a few items that looked valuable. An ashtray here, a wine glass there, until it got to the point where every step he took made as much noise as an army battalion.

"Can you stop that? We're trying to be stealthy here." Medusa scolded and Uriel replied in the same tone.

"That's rich coming from you, you're walking like a bull in a china shop."

"I can't help it!" Medusa raised the tone of her voice.

"Well, I can't help it either! I spent a lot of money buying the gas lamps and the gear we needed for this incursion on my souvenir shop. The least you can do is let me get my money back!"

"Uhm..." Luna tugged on Uriel's shirt and squeezed Medusa's hand.

"Not now, Luna." Uriel replied without paying any heed to the tiny hunter.

"Stay out of it, this is about us!" Medusa dismissively added, only this time Luna wasn't willing to let go.

"Stop what you're doing right now! We need to hurry or else..." Luna's words helped Uriel snap out of his anger soon, whatever it was affecting his thinking dissipated and he was able to think clearly again, but it was already too late. Luna passed out and crumbled like a pack of cards.

"What's going on?" Medusa nervously asked when she heard Luna drop on the ground.

"How am I supposed to know, I'm not a medic." Uriel replied without thinking, but then he shook his head and tried to find an explanation. His first thought was that they were under some sort of psychic attack, but he heard before that those attacks became less effective when the person was aware of it and it was Luna who warned them something was wrong.

Without anything else to go by, Uriel focused on his mystical sense only to confirm there was no one nearby.

As a last resort, Uriel walked towards the nearest window thinking that he would be able to see the titan right outside, but that wasn't the case. What he saw differed greatly from what he expected. Instead of fog, he saw multiple columns of smoke rising from different spots in the city.

His first instinct was to pin it on fires caused by the hunters fighting against the cryptids, but there was this uncanny feeling on the back of his head.

Be it by coincidence or fate, Uriel suddenly remembered one of the last artifacts he acquired. It was seemingly useless, but it was his best shot at making any sense of the situation.

"We're in trouble." Uriel muttered. Now that he was wearing the glasses that allowed him to see the flux energy, all his doubts were cleared. "The whole city is surrounded by eclipses."

"Wait, didn't you say the horror level eclipse is with Mark and they were on our side?"

"I didn't have much hopes of that treacherous jerk being true to his word anyway."

"What about Luna?"

"I think she's passed out due to the flux energy pressure. Her own flux signature is faint, but she should get better after a while, we just need to lay low...," Before Uriel could finish his sentence, the Pegasus fired several flares in all directions.

They may have thought Emma activated them on accident, but that only lasted until the ship took off at high speed, hinting that she was running away from something. "If they didn't know we were here, now they know."
