Elysium: Desired by the Cold-hearted Princess [GL]-Chapter 295: Two girlfriends
Third-person POV
Electra and Seraphina walked back to Electra’s room in silence, with Electra looking lost and Seraphina unsure of what to say.
Penelope, Irina, and Roxana had already headed off to their own rooms, giving them space, and even after they left, Electra had still not said a word since dinner ended. Her mood was easy to read, tense, and stormy, clearly as a result of the confrontation with Iris earlier.
Seraphina stayed close, watching her out of the corner of her eye. She could feel the way Electra’s energy kept shifting—anger buried just under the surface. It wasn’t loud anymore, but it was there, just waiting for a spark.
Once they stepped inside the room and closed the door behind them, Electra headed straight for the bed. She sat down at the edge and stared at the floor like she couldn’t decide if she was more annoyed or just exhausted.
Seraphina hesitated for a second before walking over and sitting beside her. "You okay?"
Electra blinked, then sighed, dragging her fingers through her hair like she’d forgotten Seraphina was even there.
"No," she admitted. "Sorry. I’m not okay. I’ve just been thinking about Iris and how she somehow manages to exist and make everything worse. I hate her so much that I want to pull all her hairs out."
Seraphina tilted her head a little, studying her. "It’s alright to be mad, but I’m right here now. You don’t have to let her ruin the night for us."
That pulled Electra out of her thoughts for a moment. She turned and looked at Seraphina properly, her expression softening with guilt. "You’re right. I’m sorry. I’ve been so caught up in being furious at her that I forgot you literally just woke up. I didn’t even ask how you’re feeling."
Seraphina smiled gently and took Electra’s hand. "I’m feeling okay. A little weird, maybe, but okay. Mostly just glad to see you again in the real world."
Electra laughed quietly. "You and me both, sweetheart. Sleeping beside you when you were unconscious for days? Not my favorite memory."
"I mean... if you really did that, then I could argue it was romantic," Seraphina said, teasing.
Electra raised a brow. "You being unconscious is not romantic, Sera."
"Fine," Seraphina said, grinning. "Still sweet though."
That made Electra smile again, this time, for real. She leaned in, resting her forehead gently against Seraphina’s. "I missed you so much, my little dove."
"I missed you too," Seraphina whispered. "Even in that weird glowing forest dream place, I just kept hoping you were okay. That we’d find our way back to each other."
"We did," Electra said, her voice low. "We always do."
Their lips met in a soft kiss that was slow, warm, and comforting. It was the kind of kiss that spoke louder than words and the kind that said, I’m here and you matter, without needing to spell it out.
When they finally pulled back, Electra looked at her with eyes that still held a little storm, but a little more calm too. "Iris is also a Phoenix," she said quietly.
Seraphina’s face changed. "Wait, what?"
"I didn’t believe it at first," Electra said. "I thought her anger toward me had something to do with politics, maybe because her father supports my uncle, maybe because she’s in love with Hunter or whatever, but now... now I know she’s like me. A Phoenix, a full-blooded one in fact, and possibly stronger than me."
Seraphina’s eyes widened, but she didn’t speak. She waited, letting Electra get it out.
"She pulled my hand off her neck like it was nothing, Sera," Electra went on, shaking her head. "I was choking her. I wanted to hurt her so badly after what she said to you, and she just... smiled at me. Like none of it scared her, and like she wanted it. She knew I was weak and embarrassed me."
Seraphina shivered at the memory. "I saw the look in her eyes then, and I felt terrified as well."
"Exactly," Electra said, her voice a little quieter. "I don’t like not knowing what someone’s capable of, and Iris is hiding something. She’s not just angry, she’s bitter, and she’s waiting for something. Planning something."
Seraphina didn’t respond right away. She reached up instead and gently ran her fingers along Electra’s jaw.
"What are you going to do now?" she asked gently. "About Iris, I mean. You can’t just leave her to wander around knowing she’s a Phoenix and clearly not a fan of yours."
Electra let out a long sigh and leaned back, staring up at the ceiling like it could somehow give her answers. "Honestly... I don’t know," she admitted. "Right now, both E and I are too weak. I don’t even know the full extent of what she can do yet."
Seraphina blinked. "E?"
Electra looked over, realizing she hadn’t actually explained that part. "Oh. Right. Sorry. That’s what my Phoenix side calls herself. E. I know, it sounds weird, maybe even lame, but... it’s her choice."
Seraphina stared at her like she was trying to make sense of what she just heard. "Wait, so your other side... has a name? Like, a separate name?"
Electra chuckled a little. "Yeah. She insisted on it. She wanted her own identity to curb any confusion."
Seraphina tilted her head. "So... does that mean you’re two different people?"
"No, no," Electra said quickly. "We’re not two different people. I mean, I’m me. She’s me too, but... she’s also kind of... her own thing. It’s like we share a body and a soul, but we’ve got different voices in the same head. It’s complicated."
Seraphina’s eyebrows pulled together, and she looked half intrigued and half confused. "Okay, but now I’m wondering... who am I dating? You? Her? Or both?"
Electra opened her mouth to respond, but before she could say anything, her body tensed slightly, and Seraphina immediately noticed the change in her eyes.
They didn’t glow differently, not exactly, but something about her expression shifted. A little more mischievous and a little more smug.
"You’re dating both of us," came E’s words from Electra’s mouth. "Lucky you."
Seraphina blinked hard, then let out a small, shocked laugh. "Okay, I was not ready for that." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Electra, or rather, E, smirked at her reaction, clearly amused. "What? I’ve been mostly quiet all day, and I figured it was time I introduced myself properly since you’re supposed to be our girlfriend."
