The time for Cedric's breakthrough came again...

And just like before, he once again applied for a leave to deal with it, taking a few people with him as protectors because he knows that this breakthrough will take some time.

The ones that came with him were Chancellor Igor and Silas, as well as three other Paragons. Obviously, Cedric chose not to drain the void energy vat collected by the northwestern camp for his breakthrough. Opting to unseal one of the holes to get his needs there instead.

With the updated and strengthened surveillance capabilities of the office, which he played a major role in, by the way, he was able to locate the area where the void density levels were the highest to choose. This way, he can drain more without risking too much attention on the other side.

Setting up a restricted area around Cedric as he broke through wasn't difficult, considering that he came with a few strong people to secure his safety. Because of this, Cedric pretty much began his breakthrough as soon as he located the area where the void density was high.

And so, with a single thought, Cedric's breakthrough began.

A wild suction force erupted from Cedric's body. The scene caused his protectors to raise a brow in surprise too because the force he generated was a little too strong and domineering.

"Although I've seen it before, I just can't get used to it." Silas sighed as he watched. "I never thought that I'd see someone devouring such insane amounts of void air and still remain completely fine."

"It's truly astounding, isn't it?" Igor chuckled, "The hole was large enough to practically flood everything within a hundred miles with void energy, yet here he is, not even letting a single strand pass through, taking it all in to himself."

That's right. Cedric was devouring void energy like he's a starved man. The suction force his body erupted with was a little too overbearing that not even a single drop could escape.

And he looks completely fine and at ease too. Both Igor and Silas could still remember the day when Cedric used to struggle to refine the void, yet now, he's not even breaking a sweat doing so. It's like the process has become ingrained in his very bones, seeping deep into his soul that he might even be able to do it in his sleep.

"How long do you think he's going to take?" One of the Paragons wondered, "He said that in this expansion, his Inner World will go from 99,999 miles to 999,999 miles. This should take more than a month, right?"

"I don't know," said one of the other Paragons while looking up. "It could be shorter. I mean, he pretty much peeled the seal off completely. The void energy flow is like a waterfall; it just doesn't look like it since he's funneling it to himself before it even forms. We can't really judge it since only he could see what's happening to his Inner World."

From this conversation. It was clear that these people were aware of the requirements for Cedric's breakthrough. This was because he never kept it a secret from them in the first place.

Since the ultimate goal of the Ancient Chaos Alpha project was to canonize the Ancient Chaos Path, then secrecy was a bit meaningless. In fact, the earlier these people knew what they had to deal with, the better, because at least they could prepare ahead of time. Besides, they might also be able to give Cedric more insights that he missed or provide a different perspective. The project isn't a one-man show; Cedric never shied away from help, either.

"The Ancient Chaos Path." The last of the three Paragons murmured, "A path that is easy to get started with but gets increasingly difficult the deeper you go."

The same sentiment was true even for the current life evolution flow. But because the Ancient Chaos Path deals with the Void, it then becomes significantly harder in the later stages.

Even the idea of expanding one's Inner World from 99,999 miles to 999,999 miles was a frightening concept already. Witnessing just how Cedric greedily devoured the void energy he needed got their minds reeling, simply because without experiencing it themselves, they just can't help but feel that this was suicide. It's hard for them to believe that devouring this much void energy was safe.

Yet Cedric was proving them wrong right in their faces.

Within Cedric's Inner World, a great turbulence was happening. With the injection of the neutralized void in here, the Inner World was expanding greatly.

The sea of dark gold mixed with strands of colorful rainbows shook, tossed, and turned as the expansion occurred.

However, despite the great turbulence within, Cedric's entire self remained stable as a mountain. He felt no discomfort or pain. He's relaxed and completely lucid as he immerses himself deeper into his breakthrough. Of course, he's still vaguely aware of his surroundings; it's only natural since he's still awake.

As expected, the amount of void energy he needed was truly immense. Inwardly, he estimated the time he would need to complete his breakthrough, and if this flow rate remains as is, then this should take at least 3 to 4 weeks. If complications were to happen, then a whole month would be a minimum.

Cedric sighed inwardly. Although he was already expecting this, he still felt distressed. Remember, this is just him going from the 5th to the 6th Stage of Void Refinement. There's still the 7th to the 9th Stage of Void Refinement waiting for him. That may or may not even be the end.

Alas, that's a trouble he'd leave for his future self. Right now, he was focused on his current breakthrough.

As his inner world expanded, the embryo of concept laws within him began moving as well, as if they too were responding to the breakthrough's phenomenon.

The colors clashed and gave birth to other colors; some fused, others repelled each other, forming a unique phenomenon, etc. As this happened, insights of concept laws crashed in his mind, immersing him into a wonderful dream of enlightenment.

As the director of the Ancient Chaos Alpha project, Cedric had access to all of the information available there. Through comparison, he discovered that this appearance of the concept of law embryos within his Inner World turned out to be a unique thing to him, or maybe humans even.

Yes, the colors are also present in other Void Refiners, but they'd only have ones that correspond to their innate affinities. Not all of them appear like it did with Cedric. So far, this isn't a concrete thing yet. After all, there haven't been a lot of people who successfully transitioned to the path. But currently, though, yes, this was a unique thing to him.

Cedric had ideas why this was the case. His strongest argument was that if this were to happen to others, their heads would probably be too overwhelmed by the information they'd receive. They couldn't analyze and break down information as efficiently as Cedric could, so something like this happening might cause their cultivation to deviate negatively.

He wasn't all that concerned, though. Since it works for him, then it works for him. There's no need to think too deeply about it right now.

As Cedric digested the new information he was receiving, the turbulence within his Inner World was also getting stronger. The sea of dark gold was expanding at a visible pace too, but its growth was nothing compared to the speed of the neutralized void's expansion. And that's to be expected. Still, this was saving him a lot of time.

Time passed, and soon it would be the 3rd week since Cedric began his breakthrough...

It still hasn't slowed down at all, and there's nothing else his protectors could do other than wait.

And as it turns out, bringing them here was a wise decision because there had been some void creatures that showed up and were dealt with by his protectors. If they weren't around, any of these creatures could've forced Cedric into a dead end.

There wasn't much that appeared. Maybe one or two on some days, five at once at maximum just last week. But all of them had been pulverized by the protectors, turning into an additional vat of Void Energy that Cedric eagerly devoured.

And as the 30th day approaches, Cedric opened his eyes, concluding his breakthrough right then and there. He released an exhausted sigh, but his eyes were exceptionally bright.

Feeling the immense strength thrumming right under his skin was exhilarating, and it's only going to get stronger as more and more void energy is converted into Chaos Energy.

In his humble estimations, Cedric could totally defeat an experienced 9th Transition expert with barely any effort. If he went all out, even cosmic-level experts wouldn't be able to keep him.

He stood up to stretch his body; his joints released loud pops as he did so.

But before he could completely celebrate his breakthrough, sudden news interrupted his pleasant mood.

"We're expecting another invasion."
