Entangled in the Night: Unable to Escape Him-Chapter 154: If You Want Me to Let You Go, You’ll Have to Kill Me
Hearing these words, Sienna felt all her struggles turn pale and powerless.
Silas wouldn’t talk to her like this if he didn’t have enough evidence.
Her eyes turned crimson with anger as she stared at Silas.
"Silas, I’ve already changed my face and come back. Why can’t you just let me go? What do I have to do for you to let me leave?"
Silas let out a soft laugh: "If you want me to let you go, that’s only possible if I’m dead."
"You’re insane!"
Silas abruptly grabbed her chin, the gentle look in his eyes gradually smothered by a dangerous shadow.
"I’m this crazy—you drove me to it. You can come clean about your identity to anyone but me. Sienna, I love you so much, I admitted in front of so many people that you’re my white moonlight, I even started a project under your name. I just wanted you to see my sincerity. But what about you? Not even a sliver of hesitation, and you even joined forces with another man to try to escape.
Sienna, I searched for you for five years. Now that I finally found you, how could I possibly let you slip away so easily?"
As he spoke, his cold fingertips lightly brushed Sienna’s ear.
That unnaturally handsome face twisted into something terrifyingly sinister.
Exactly like the Silas Prescott from five years ago—not one bit changed.
Sienna was so scared her hands pressed hard against his chest, her voice trembling: "Y-you... how did you find this place?"
She’d checked everything that could possibly be tracked, but never found any locator or the like.
Silas carelessly plucked a pearl hairpin from Sienna’s hair.
Seeing this hairpin, Sienna seemed to understand everything.
She looked at Silas in disbelief: "Silas, that was a gift from Julian—you even used him, too?"
Silas’s smile was a little wicked: "Otherwise? Let you really escape me? Sienna, do you know how devastated Julian was when you left five years ago? I can’t let myself go through that pain ever again."
Sienna, seething, threw the hairpin away.
"Silas, you’re a complete freak. If Julian knew you were using him, he’d hate you for sure."
"He won’t. I brought his mother back—he’s too excited to care. If you don’t believe me, just listen for yourself."
Silas casually dialed Julian Prescott’s number. On the other end, a little boy’s childish voice came right through.
"Dad, did you find Mom?"
At this voice, all of Sienna’s stubbornness vanished into thin air.
When she left, she didn’t tell Julian. She was terrified he’d cry—she wouldn’t be able to walk away if she saw him like that.
No matter how many times she steeled herself, hearing Julian’s voice now, her heart ached uncontrollably.
Tears flowed down her cheeks in that moment.
Silas glanced at her, his expression gentle. "Your mom’s just tired from work and went out for a little break. Daddy’s already found her—she’s right here with me."
At those words, Julian exclaimed excitedly, "Mom, are you really with Dad?"
Sienna quickly wiped her tears and said, "Julian, I’m sorry—I left in a hurry and didn’t have time to tell you."
"It’s okay, Mom. If you’re not feeling well, stay out and have fun for a few more days. I’ll be good. I started kindergarten, and the teacher said I speak nicely and wants me to be a little emcee."
A child with autism—now being asked to be a little host.
For Julian, that was tremendous progress.
Sienna’s voice choked with emotion, "You’re amazing, sweetheart. When I get back, I’ll buy you a present."
"Alright, Mom! If you can come to my school’s sports day and see me host, that’d be even better!"
Before Sienna could respond, Silas interjected, "Then Mom and Dad will join you for your sports day. You be good and listen to great-grandpa, understand?"
Julian’s happy shout came through the phone: "That’s awesome! Dad, Mom, you both have to come, and Dad, you can’t bully Mom!"
"Mhm, I know. Your mom and I have something to talk about, let’s hang up for now."
After hanging up, Silas stared at Sienna’s tear-soaked eyes.
"Sienna, Julian’s progress is all thanks to you. You wouldn’t want to let him down, right?"
Sienna glared at him fiercely: "Silas, does watching me fall step by step into your trap amuse you?"
Silas’s scorching gaze darkened: "Sienna, I’ve waited so long for you to tell me the truth. I gave you so many chances—you didn’t take them. Don’t blame me for this."
With that, he pulled something from his pocket, and with a ’click’, snapped it onto Sienna’s wrist.
The cold touch made Sienna jolt with alarm.
She looked down—her wrist now adorned with a sakura-pink bracelet.
The bracelet looked lovely, but Sienna knew this was no ordinary piece of jewelry. Silas had surely planted a GPS inside.
She bit down on her teeth angrily: "Silas, what did you put on me?"
Silas shook his wrist: "Couple’s bracelets. Now, wherever you run, I’ll be able to find you. And if you try to take it off, there’s a micro-bomb in mine—it will detonate. By then, forget about my arm, you may never see me again."
At those words, Sienna couldn’t even describe how she felt.
Silas was using his life to coerce her.
Because he knew—she’d never be cruel enough to hurt him like that.
Sienna didn’t know how to vent her fury. In her desperation, she grabbed Silas’s arm and bit down hard.
Because she knew—there was no way she could escape Silas’s chains now.
The thought of being controlled by this madman for the rest of her life filled Sienna with excruciating pain.
Silas didn’t push her away. The sharp sting on his wrist didn’t even make him frown.
Instead, a pleased laugh rumbled from his throat.
"Sienna, you ran for five years. I looked for you for five years. Shouldn’t we settle this account today?"
His voice, like a curse, pierced Sienna’s ears.
She jerked her mouth away in horror, eyes cold as she glared at him: "Silas, if you dare do what you did before—force me into that again—I’ll just die in front of you. It’s not like I haven’t died before."
Silas chuckled softly: "If death is the only way, why don’t we die together, hmm?"
Without giving Sienna time to react, he lowered his head and bit Sienna’s lips.
Feeling his scorching breath and feverish mouth, Sienna felt herself sinking into an abyss.
The nightmare memories flashed through her mind again.
Her tears streamed down the corners of her eyes.
She knew, faced with Silas’s madness, even death couldn’t save her.
If she died, Silas would follow her without hesitation—not wavering for a second.
Sienna lost all will to resist, letting Silas ravage her lips as he pleased.
She’d run for five years, but in the end she still couldn’t escape Silas’s claws.
She also knew—now that Silas had caught her, he would never let her go again.
The thought of a future filled with nightmares made Sienna’s eyes burn hot.
To escape Silas, she’d gone to a war zone, faced life and death, lost her beloved son—and yet, everything was back to square one.
She wasn’t the same Sienna as five years ago—back then, alone, escape might have been possible.
Now, with her parents here—if she fled again, Silas would never let them go.
The real Chloe Nash had already sacrificed herself to save her; she couldn’t let her parents fall next.
So aside from staying at Silas’s side, she had no other choice.
Feeling the salty wetness of her tears, only then did Silas slowly release her.
He gently kissed her tear-soaked eyes. "As long as you promise not to leave me, I’ll do anything you say, okay?"
