Chapter 3440: Bladedance Examines

After spending some more time in Alex’s Soul Space and learning more about the different things he had done in the mere 20 years they had been separated, Bladedance finally left and came back out.

Once out, they left the hall, making their way to where Battlesage and Whisker were still continuing with their task.

"How was your visit, senior? Did you see interesting places?" Bladedance asked as she walked into the room.

"I indeed saw many incredible cities and sceneries," Battlesage said. "I can’t thank you enough for asking the Beast God to help me."

"She would’ve done it even without me asking if you told her where you came from," Bladedance said. "Just your connection with the Hell Emperor alone would’ve helped you so much."

The old man gave a soft smile. "I’m not really interested in using my long gone connection, especially since I don’t have many ways of proving it."

Bladedance didn’t push it. "I hear you’re helping him with setting up some formations in his Soul Space?" she asked.

"Oh, yes," Battlesage quickly said. "I’m getting there, but it might take a little longer than I previously thought. Each time I try to start, I am struck with new inspiration and I have to rework the entire thing."

Alex couldn’t help but laugh out loud when he heard that. "Take as much time as you need, senior. I’ll be gone for some time anyway. If you want to, you can come with me too. Or you can stay here as well."

"No," Battlesage quickly said. "If I can help it, I would like to not stay in this room for another minute. Let me into your Soul Space. It will be better for me anyway to work directly on site."

Alex nodded, turning toward Bladedance. "What would happen if senior Battlesage were to disappear from this room? They would ask questions, wouldn’t they?"

Bladedance considered his question for a moment before giving a shrug. "Just take him in. You can just say you don’t want to tell her later on. It’s unlikely she will figure out what happened. Even if she does, it might instead only push her to believe that you are who she thinks you are."

Alex thought for a bit, nodding slowly. "I can also claim that I did something as a Half-God," he said.

Bladedance chuckled and nodded.

The next moment, Alex took both Battlesage and Whisker into his Soul Space, letting them back into the familiar land where they could work freely. Whisker could also return to cultivating soon, so he could continue Transcending his Creations.

After finishing, Bladedance took Alex away to check on the progress of his Sword.

Alex showed her his Sword Heart by forming the domain away from him once again. This time, Bladedance could check on it much better as she had access to her Divine Sense.

"They’re quite sharp," she commented. "And also feel as if they’re carrying quite a bit of momentum. You’ve managed to mix your unique intents well to form your Sword Heart."

Alex raised his chest in pride upon hearing his master’s compliment. "Thank you, master. I truly tried my best."

"I can see that," Bladedance said, watching the Sword Qi that flew around in the distant Sword Domain. "Bring out your sword. Use your Sword Aura."

Alex did as asked, pulling out the black sword and using Sword Aura with it.

"No issue there," Bladedance said, checking the aura thoroughly. "Push it back. Just Sword Qi now."

Alex pulled the energy from the sword, keeping just Sword Qi that appeared around the sword like a bright light that covered it.

"That’s good," she said. "You’ve managed to retroactively use your higher intent with your weaker ones as well. You’ve made no mistake in forming your Sword Heart. And you did it entirely your own way."

Alex put down the sword. "Do most people copy other people’s Sword Heart?" he asked. "I once entered a secret realm where people tried to enter a place where they could learn a Saber Reverend’s Saber Heart."

"Remember what I told you about your Sword Heart being difficult to form because of the unique Intents surrounding it?" Bladedance asked. "Because most people don’t have a unique Intent, they can easily copy someone else’s Sword Heart for that reason. In fact, there are people that learn from another weapon user and follow along entirely in their path, copying their intent in each stage."

Alex scratched his chin. "Is that bad?"

Bladedance gave a half-hearted nod. "It’s not good, but it’s not bad either. It’s just okay. The path becomes easy, but because you are copying someone else’s Intent, you cannot truly learn from it. These people end up failing around Sword Heart mostly as a result, and even when they do cross it, they end up failing around Dao Sword."

"Oh, I see."

"Speaking of which," Bladedance continued. "You said you were close to forming your Dao Sword? Can you show me?"

"Of course," Alex said, quickly creating the domain next to Bladedance once again. At the same time, he added his current understanding of Sunfire within it, causing the domain to be a mix of Sword Qi and Sunfire.

Bladedance stared at it for a while, a small frown appearing on her face. After a long moment, she gestured for Alex to stop.

"You’re not even close," she said.

Alex raised an eyebrow. "Really?" he asked. "I thought I was just a small step away."

"You’re definitely on the right path, and it could even be said that you can see your goal clearly, but getting to it isn’t that easy. Your Sword Qi and flames are still entirely distinct. Until they are one and the same, you are not there."

Alex lowered his eyes and nodded thoughtfully. "I’ll try my best, master. I have to learn the fire fully first, but once I do, I will do it."

"Don’t rush," Bladedance said. "Dao Sword is not something one is expected to learn in the Immortal realm. Take your time with it. You will get there eventually."
