Extra And MC-Chapter 114 - 110 - Award Ceremony Banquet - Prelude II
"What in the world…"
In the middle of the living room, Aiden and Ivar sat down on the couch with dejected expressions on their faces while Caroline and Maya were continuously trying to motivate them with words of encouragement.
"You’re not that bad Aiden" Caroline gently said while placing her hands on the sides of his face with a slightly worried expression as she bent down to his eye level.
"Ivar. Come on! Just one more!" Maya said to the orange-haired youth while holding both of his hands.
Despite this, Aiden and Ivar’s eyes remained unfocused, almost as if whatever it was the two ladies were saying was going through one ear and immediately coming out the other.
Flynn could almost swear that he could see a dark cloud of rain pouring over both of their heads.
That aside, another lady who had a similar appearance to Maya’s but with a big rectangular glass framing her beautiful blue eyes, only shook her head in slight disapproval as she kept harshly criticizing the two dejected youths.
"Even frogs can dance better than you two" Aerith belittled the two friends.
"And guess what, they can’t even properly stand on two legs!" she sarcastically added with a click of her tongue.
’Is that an arrow stabbing them?’ Flynn thought to himself in disbelief as he blinked his eyes a few more times to ensure that he wasn’t hallucinating.
"Sister Aerith! Will you stop making them feel even worse?!" Maya retorted in a slightly annoyed tone to her sister who just scoffed in response as she added.
"I will when they get better at it. We’ve been here since 6:00am you know?"
"It still doesn’t mean you should be so harsh" Maya argued but Aerith just pushed her glasses slightly up on the ridge of her perfectly shaped nose with a haughty expression.
"Hahaha!!!" Adrian and Bryan kept laughing at the two youths, their eyes watered from the constant hurls of harsh criticisms Aerith had been throwing Ivar and Aiden’s way.
"Shis ish sho fwunny! Sho bad!" Derek added from the counter of the kitchen where both he, Ivelia and Sophia who was currently in an apron and a short-haired lady whose dull pink eyes was twinkling as she greedily kept munching through a bunch of cupcakes along with Derek.
’Aren’t those mine?!’ Flynn frowned as he watched on in utter confusion at this point.
"Will you stop speaking while eating?! Swallow your darn food!" Sophia shouted at Derek who completely ignored her shouts.
Flynn watched on as Ivelia had a tired expression on her face and although he felt sorry for her, something else caught his attention.
A small portion on the far left of the roofing of their living room’s ceiling had been blown off, far away from the couches and the kitchen.
Standing atop the small rubble and two youths who were seemingly huffing in tiredness was Luke, his light-brown eyes looking down at Ben and Lucas who were pinned below his foot in disappointment, their faces having pained expressions.
"Again, what in the world…" Flynn muttered once again in utter disbelief.
Blaze, Beatrice and Amelia however, just stood at the center of it all, tired sighs constantly escaping their lips as they shook their heads in resignation at the entire situation.
At this point, Flynn was too stunned to speak.
What should he even have been surprised or confused by at this point?
The fact that all the members of the Student Council were here or that the entire chaos that was going on in their own dorm, was seemingly caused by every single one of those said members of the council.
"Your dorm’s weird brother Flynn!" Briar who was still atop Flynn’s shoulders said with an innocent giggle.
’Great. Now my younger sister has the wrong impression of us’ Flynn bitterly commented inwardly while giving a tired sigh too.
He really couldn’t understand what the hell was happening.
Early this morning, he had seen when Maya was coming over to their dorm to help Ivar with dance practice, just after he had left his brother and Caroline to their own dance practice in the living room.
That had been a totally harmless and if he was even being very honest, a really wholesome scenario.
So he had only expected an even more wholesome scenario to greet both he and Briar when they got back, and not this crazy and downright chaotic scenario.
"Hmm? Who’s this cutie?" Aerith who had now finally spotted Flynn with Briar atop him excitedly said as she walked towards both of them with brisk steps.
Watching as the petite lady stared at him from below, seemingly asking him with her eyes to hand Briar over to her, Flynn obliged.

Handing Briar over to her, the entire dorms attention now shifted to the trio.
As Briar was now in the arms of Aerith, curiously staring at the stranger whom she had never seen in her life before, the young girl soon spoke innocently.
"You’re short but you have such beautiful big blue eyes…"
The moment those words left Briar’s mouth, the entire student council and even Blaze himself, their president, who usually had an apathetic expression most of the time, gulped in fear.
’No one should ever call Aerith short!’ they all internally screamed in fear.
Instantly remembering the day Derek had poked the hornet’s nest by using those words on her and how she had almost destroyed their own entire dorm just because of his harmless jab at her, they all shivered in fear once again.
However, what they had not been expecting was the warm smile that graced Aerith’s face as she replied.
"Well I can forgive you because you’re innocent…"
"…and also because you complemented my eyes young girl" she added, after which she then asked.
"So what’s your name cutie?"
"Briar Belmont!" the young girl proudly declared.
"Oh. I didn’t know the Belmont’s had a little girl?" Aerith questioned, a mildly surprised expression on her face as she angled her gaze upwards to look at Flynn, her eyes asking for an explanation.
"No. I’m not answering that question until someone, anyone, explains what the hell… all of this is?" Flynn calmly countered with a question of his own, his hands gesturing to the state of their dorm’s living room.
"Fair enough" Aerith answered as she turned around with Briar in her arms and then, motioned to Blaze with her head as Flynn closed the door behind him.
Placing the young girl on the floor who instantly ran over to greet Ivelia, Blaze began to explain their reasoning for coming over.
"We can have the discussion once she’s done greeting everyone…" Blaze indifferently motioned to the young girl who was now giggling happily while pressing her cheeks against Ivelia’s who was giving her a tight hug.
From there, they all resumed the previous things they had been doing as Briar went over to respectfully greet everyone.
Similarly greeting ruby-eyed lady the way she had greeted Ivelia, both ladies exchanged a giggle between each other and the moment Caroline dropped her down, the young girl went over to Aiden and Flynn who were trying their best to look happy in front of their younger sister.
Briar had instead placed her dainty hands on both of their heads while telling them that everything would be alright with a warm smile, similar to the way Anna usually consoled her when she was down or had injured herself.
’An Angel!’ Aiden and Ivar had inwardly praised her, their moods elevated in an instant.
After doing this, she went to every other person and gave them her greetings too but when she had finally gotten to Derek, who was the last person she had yet to greet, she had instead asked him to have another videogame match with her whenever he was free.
The brown-haired youth couldn’t help but twitch his eyes in annoyance at the young girl, especially when he remembered how he lost to her every blessed time.
"You audacious little twerp!" Derek had said to her but Briar had instead giggled mischievously in response to his words.
After that, Aerith had offered to show Briar to the dorm’s garden, a ploy to give the others space to discuss the reason why they had actually come to their dorm.
They sure as hell didn’t want to include a little girl in such an important conversation, especially when the girl herself seemed to be very smart for her age.
"Now, the reason we came here is to inform you guys to be on a complete alert at the banquet…" Blaze began.
"There are a few spies who had snuck into the academy from both Obelisk and The Monolith…" he continued explaining and following this, the atmosphere surrounding all of them instantly became very somber as each and every youth listened attentively.
Although it had been close to four months since the attempted bombing at the Annual Royal Banquet, a lot of the events that had happened was still fresh in all of their minds.
"Although we have no idea why they’re here and we originally never even planned to inform you all initially, after a few discussions between ourselves, we realized that it would be in your best interests if we did…"
"We’ll do our absolute best to ensure your safety but I’m sure it’s not the first time any of you have been targeted so it shouldn’t come as a shock to you that you may be their prime targets. That being said though, the more alert you are, the better for all of us" the Student Council President added a few more words before finally concluding.
After a while, after the words Blaze had uttered had properly sunk into their bones, Aiden had spoken up with a response of his own that he believed carried everyone’s present thoughts on the matter.
"Thank you for the heads up"
