The strongest power that Reeva possessed was the power to turn everything into the yellow food of happiness. He could directly subdue any people or creature that could feel happy by giving them an overwhelming amount of it. However, the demon Reeva by himself was also an anomaly.

Usually, the human who became a demon shed their human body and turned not some kind of abomination. Like Helda turning into a mountain of flesh. However Reeva remained a human body, the only things that changed were his eyes, his strength, and also the maddening grin he had.

"HAhAhAAHAHA"

The laugh echoed through the forest as the big tree picked itself up using the mother’s vines. Its main reason was to escape from Reeva, its original plan was to eliminate the spotle here but things changed.

The mother was sure that she could fight with a 5th-circle mystic using one of her vines. However never in a million years would she expected the sun god apostle would be turned into a demon himself.

And one with this much power, enough to fight with this part of hers and come out on top. His power just seems so ridiculously overpowered.

"Where are you going?"

Reeva caught up with the trees, its big body was surprisingly fat when the vine was moving it. But running was Reeva’s strong suit, he had already run more than any other body at this stage.

His hand balled into a fit and finally puch the tree again, the tree bent out of shape and vines started pouring out of its body. There were no screams or cries, but Reeva knew that he had hurt the mother.

The vine became much more erratic and the 6 vine people finally caught up to him. Their eyes began looking at him again but this time it was much more intense. Reeav didn’t need to guess what they were doing since he could see it in real-time, the eyes were gathering mystic from somewhere.

Reeva’s eyes followed the root-like mystic to bodies that lying on the floor. There, was a corpse of the people that Reeva had killed. However, what’s differnt was the fact that their head had already been blown out by Reeva.

Mystic was gathered by the minds of the people, which means, vines are doing something that they originally didn’t in the novel. In the novel, the heretic rebellion would be on their way, and the main culprit would have been the mother right here.

The heretic used the mother, along with the void to take hold of the eastern front, where there was still infighting between the empire and the old country that tried to resist the empire.

Getting them to be independent again but at the cost of worshipping the world. Thus creating the world union, where people of mysticism would gather and fight with the empire. Klad failed to save Onia’s sister blamed himself and joined the war. Hoping the get revenge on the blood hand.

But that wasn’t possible now, the blood hand losing Tula was a major blow to their force. If it luckily didn’t dissolve then it would just get simulated into something else. Moreover, Theia was still alive and kicking making the hated of Klad non-existent.

Now, the mother appeared in Duranberg where he was, and this new technique she created. Someone must be behind it.

Reeva controlled his own happiness to affect the Vine people. Their eye widen but their mouth curve up into a smile. Reeva slo let out a smile, fighting with people was a joke. Try they might the people were too overwhelmed by happiness to act.

It’ ’s perfect for Reeva to go and check out where the mystic powers were coming from. He traveled to the corpses of the people he killed before and looked around. Without the head, people shouldn’t be able to give mystic power.

Then he found the thing that gives out mystic power. It was a black little creature whose body was like a boiling spring. However, it was an uneven spring that looked disgusting. Instead of meta,l it was flesh and it was still wiggling.

It was like the brain of that hunter, it was infected by something. And that something came right from the mother. Reeva was afraid to pick the thing up so he examined it from a little bit away.

While he was doing that the vine snuck in from behind and tried to grab him. At this point it was no use, Reeva was way too reflective of his surroundings. The now, the mystic that was inside the vine.

He grabbed the vine mid-launch and pulled it. The vine was connected to the inside of the tree, it flushed out of the flesh bark. A bundle of vines and some flesh hit the snow floor, soaking it with red and grey fluid. The tree left with no support could only fall down, its life leaving its body.

In the middle of vines and fleshed Reeva could see the gleaming green ball. His hand parted the vines and reached into its body. The thing felt like a marble, with its shine and its hardness.

"Is this a core? hehehehe"

The mother could split into mini versions of herself which have about a quarter of the real power. This thing could also be considered a mystic artifact. He pocketed the thing and kicked himself off the snow.

There was still more happiness to be gained, fighting these guys didn’t give him more yellow fog since they were all dead people....

He stopped halfway through and looked back, an idea crept into his mind. A fun idea that made his already siden smile even wider.

------

"We are in the Tutala region of the Frotfang tribes."

Oven cam back to Holen. His eyes still glace at the detective like a hawk.

"Can you be more precise? I already knew this place"

They were already in Tutala, it was the east part of the Forstfang tribe territories. Albeit a little toward the center.

"I don’t know, I haven’t been in this place before, this is deeper than I ever went. I think the best detective would know better than me"

Holen’s eye twitched but he didn’t say anything. The detective adjusted his hat and looked around the forest. Then he looked at the map again.

"There is the tallest mountain around here, could you look for it?"

"Carmel peak?" Oven raises his eyes brows "I saw it on my way there, it’s that way"

He pointed in a direction, there they could see the big mountain that was a bit covered by the trees.

"Then we could head there"

Holen pointed to the left of the mountain. The Camel Mountain was north of Tutala, if they traveled opposite of that then they should have reached the empire at some point. Jell agreed after looking at the map, that this was their best course of action.

They gallop the horse through the snow, passing by differnt trees, and on their way they find something.

"This was not the Forst fang..."

On the trees, there was a marking of a bow. This meant they were the servant of god tribes, it’s the tribe located north of the Forst Fang tribe. It’s easily as powerful as the Frost Fang tribe in terms of power and in terms of people, the servant of goodness definitely has more.

"Before you asked me, I didn’t know this part of the land just goes by feel"

"...."

Holen looked at the Oven, the guy was avoiding eye contact but from his voice, Holen knew that the guy likely got it wrong because he didn’t know.

"Phew, good thing we discovered the marking right?"

"Let’s turn back"

Holen ordered quickly. The tribes used these markings as their claim to the land. If they saw one of these then they were already in the servant of goodness territories.

"Who are you guys!"

"Run!"

A shout came from within the forest. The voice jolted all of them awake. They lean forward and make the horse run faster. Holen wasn’t going to take his chance with encountering a servant of goddess here.

Rumor has it that they were even more disgusted by the empire than the Forst Fang that fought on the battlefield daily. From what he could find, the servant of the goddess hated the empire because of the advancement in technologies eliminating the hunt.

"Stop!"

The voice came closer but Holen and the knight weren’t slowing down. The trees bas by them as they travel along the snow-covered forest.

"AGGGHH"

Oven horse stumbled and the knight screamed in panic. That drew all of their attention. Oven horse had fallen into a trap! It was just a simple spike trap that hid in the snow but it was enough to completely halt the horse and throw Oven over.

"Fuck!..."

"Get on!"

Holen extended his hand out to grab Oven, However, the man just looked at him and then turned to his horse.

"Shut up, I’m done abandoning things"
