Extra's Perfect Ending-Chapter 310: Situation
The sun woman spit out blood from her mouth. Right now she could not see anything but she could imagine Nena’s face when she heard her words. It’s her true feeling, after all, she lost this battle, she lost the hunt. The natural outcome would be her death.
The sun priest offered her another life, it’s a disgraceful act that only the empire people would do. Nena felt her face lit up a bit, she didn’t know exactly why but the combination of disrespecting her god, calling her bitch, or being said by Cindy got her pretty mad.
She gripped her hand that closed the eyes tight, holding the whole body upright. Then she punch the golden cloth in the gut, multiple times. Cindy screamed and said all kinds of curse words, then she spit out blood.
It creates red in the white snow making it quite stand out.
"You don’t talk to me like that"
"Good, because I’m done talking to you"
Nena gritted her teeth, her right arm balled into a fist ready to punch the woman more but, she remembered that this was not what the sun god intended and calmed down.
"No, you’re going to talk. We have no hunter of prey here, it’s either you lived to see your family or not. Choose"
"That’s rich coming from the empire people who’ always kill and plunder our stuff"
"You did it too," Nena said, looking at Cindy. From her perspective, the tribespeople did even more plundering than the empire.
"We did it because of you! If you didn’t invade us then we wouldn’t need to invade"
"We’re not arguing that point, it’s either my offer or none at all."
"I’d rather die!" The tribeswoman still didn’t yield. If the head of the tribe yielded and received the empire’s mercy then it’s no better than losing to the empire who they hate. It’s simply unacceptable.
Nena sighed, she didn’t really want to deal with this woman anymore. She thought for a bit about revealing crucial information. This useless war had been going on for centuries now all because of the sun god.
However, he needed higher permission to reveal such information. Because it would be crucial to the development of the entire Eyre continent. She moved at a fast speed and found her way back... Luckily.
When she arrived she saw that there was Reeva sitting on the rocks and the cardinal sleeping beside him.
"Welcome back... What’s that?"
What caught Reeva’s eyes immediately was the golden cocoon behind Nena’s back. It’s saying something but Reeva couldn’t articulate it, if he had to guess it was much of a northern curse word that he hadn’t heard yet.
"Our clue"
Nena threw the cocoon down on the ground, not caring for the person inside. The thing sunk a bit into the snow and the cursing stopped before resuming with much more intensity. Reeva was glad that he couldn’t understand what the woman was saying.
"Who’s she?"
"One of the Frost Fang tribe leaders, are you familiar?"
Reeva looked at the woman carefully before he answered.
"Yes"
He knew this woman because the book went into detail about the tribe leader, they were considered heretics in a sense because they worshiped a "goddess of the hunt". So in the heretic war, they had a hand in helping with the chaos in the empire.
However, they themselves did not trust the true heretic either. Their ways were far more sinister than the tribes.
"Then you would know why I brought her here."
"Hello.."
"#^%#$^#%$^#$%"
"Wow..." Reeva couldn’t help but admire, Cindy was cursing nonstop. He wondered if even half of the words she spewed out were really real insults, but he would never know.
At that moment the Cardinal woke up, the noise that Cindy made was too much.
"What are these noises... oh who’s this?"
"One of the tribe’s leaders"
"Leader? Why did you bring her here?" Cardinal said, unfazed by Nena’s action.
"Information?" Nena’s eyebrows raised up, she couldn’t believe the cardinal would even ask such a question. She deliberately dragged her word to emphasize the point.
"Oh right, did you have an idea where the mother is?"
"The hunt goddess?"
"No... wait... um..." The cardinal thought of the word that he could use "Have you seen an abomination of flesh or a weir deer recently?"
"Yes! and Congratulations, your creation work! Are you satisfied?" Cindy answered the cardinal with a bit of sarcasm. Really they had to move away from the main village for a bit. That’s a big feat considering that both she and her husband were still protecting the village. Their number and power were simply too much for them to handle alone.
The cardinal looked and Cindy and sighed.

"Can someone explain it to her? I wanna sleep"
"...."
After saying that, She went right back to sleep. Leaving Reeva and Nena to look at each other and sigh. They didn’t expect that this guy would be this lazy. After all the cardinal often looked so diligent when he was beside the pope.
"What do you know about the deer?" Reeva wanted to get the idea of their understanding first.
"Why are you asking me?! Your empire created it so you should know all about it."
"Thing is, that was not our creation," Reeva said in a calm voice, trying to set the mood for the conversation. However, Cindy seems to not be in the mood for a chill talk. "It was another demon that we needed to take care of, if it was our creation we would not let it take over Guragua"
Cindy made a complicated face. She knew the situation in Guragua roughly because their force was pulled back, so much so that she could take some land for her tribe. However, that can’t be done imply because there are too many mutated deer running around.
"You incompetent fool let it out and can’t control it. Don’t think me into believing your lies"
These words still didn’t convince her.
"Cindy, right?" Reeva smiled "Let me tell you a secret. The empire could have wiped you from the map long ago. See Nena? Theere’s like a dozen more of those who are on the same level...."
"What..."
"Wait are we allowed to reveal that?" Nena was a bit dumb but now dumb enough to reveal crucial information such as this.
"This hasn’t reached anyone yet but the sun god plans to cooperate with the goddess of hunt"
"Cooperate?" Nena felt like she had just been hit by lightning. She had been killing and capturing heretics since she was a young priest. However, she didn’t care much about this, it’s just something that the church had her do and the sun god saved her life so she did it.
But, never in a million years, she would hear the sun god cooperating with another divine being. After all, he just wiped one god off history many years ago.
Sanchez who’s sleeping on the side opened his eyes. He was half listening to the conversation while resting but upon hearing such words he had no choice but to be awake. His body quickly arrived in front of Reeva and held both of his shoulders tightly.
"Is that real?"
"Yes..."
"Lying in front of me is a crime punishable by death"
"I’m saying this truthfully."
All the people here were stunned, each for a different reason.
"Why?" Sanchez asked, his voice sounding tired.
"There’s more of these disasters to come, as you know the void had been trying to get into our world for a long time. However now that there’s only one god left in the world, it is as vulnerable as ever."
"...."
Sanchez went into deep thought, he was knowledgeable about anything church-related, and one of them was this vulnerability. The sun god, in all his mightiness, couldn’t watch over every human, he came to know this a long time ago. But now that he heard it from an apostle, he finally had a confirmation that the god was not as omniscient as people thought the lord was.
But that matters not for the believer such as himself, because the god is still as powerful as he should be.
"Then there’s the mother that we are pursuing, she often came back every once in a while if you read the record. However this time, she was destined to do something .... extreme. If we manage to kill her here, then we could stop the incoming disaster."
"There’s more than this right?"
"2 more actually. The book of Fate and the Rift, the book of Fate I don’t know much about at this moment but the rift was a rift in reality created by another dimension where others came to conquer our resources potentially ridding our world of anything useful"
"..." Sanchez looked at Reeva with a burning gaze "Why the hell didn’t you report this the first moment you had? This is potentially world-ending."
"Well..." Reeva looked at Sanchez’s reaction and smiled "I didn’t exactly have time to tell you this when every minute that we’re here explaining this, the mother is running rampant."
"...." Sanchez aid to Reeva "Then we had to deal with it fast"
