Fake dating my enemy, The playboy billionaire-Chapter 131: Surprise
YIREN’S POV
"If you keep staring at me like that, I may have to kiss you," Jun teases with a grin that sends flutters through my stomach. "I’m feeling quite deficient in Vitamin K."
I chuckle. "Oh really?" I play along, then rise up on my toes to peck a quick kiss aka Vitamin K on his cheek. "Satisfied now, Juju?"
He points to his other cheek, eyes dancing with mischief. "I’m afraid one dose won’t cut it."
Rolling my eyes, I oblige and press a kiss on his other cheek. But he isn’t finished there. His smile grows as he directs me to his nose, then chin, then forehead. Soft laughter escapes me as I kiss each spot, feeling a flush rise in my cheeks at his growing grin and playfulness.
And then—he touches his lips, earning a slap from me. "Don’t get ahead of yourself."
Jun chuckles, locking his arms around me, "Don’t do anything you’re not comfortable with."
The intensity in his eyes pulls me closer to him, like gravity. He doesn’t push, doesn’t demand, just offers comfort and care in the simplest, yet most meaningful way.
"You’re always too sweet."
He doesn’t respond, just tightens his hold on me. Safe. Solid.
I had a weird dream last night. A dream that felt too real to be just a dream. In it, I was confessing love to Jun—no pretense, no games, just raw honesty. I woke up in a cold sweat, my heart hammering in my chest, pressed up against him.
I tried to pull away, but Jun stirred, pulling me even closer, kissing my cheek and went back to sleep as if it was his body’s natural reflex.
Cute. Adorable. But also... terrifying.
I keep telling myself that I’ll soak in his warmth for just one day but then I repeat it the next day.... And another.
Then as if God has decided to play in Jun’s team he made me hear his conversation with his mom.
I know I shouldn’t listen, shouldn’t eavesdrop on their conversation, but I can’t help it. My ears catch the words, and it’s like the air around me tightens, suffocating me.
["With her, I feel safe, like I can breathe in a way I never could before. She’s the one who sees all the parts of me—even the ones I’ve tried to hide. With her, I don’t have to pretend. I can just be myself. She’s worth it, Mom."]
I wasn’t ready for the flood of emotions.
Can the universe please show me some flaws in this man and be fair with me?
Just when I think I have seen everything good in him he shows me something more- like not shying away while talking to his parents about the girl he likes. Normally men avoid this dreadful topic but he is like an open book.
"Jun?"
"Yeah?"
"We have to get ready for work."
"Oh, okay... yeah... work. Damn work." He rubs the back of his head as if he just remembered he was staring at me while keeping me locked in his arms. "Be ready. I’ll pick you up from work later today."
"Why?"
He flashes me a devilish grin, "Surprise."
****
As decided, he picks me up sharp at six. On the dot. Was I anticipating this moment? Was I watching the time tick by, every second dragging like an eternity? Was I distracted by the thought of him? And let’s not forget, did my staff of 300 construction workers watch me as I practically ran into him like a giddy schoolgirl?
Yes. Yes. Yes! And YES!
I know it’s ridiculous, but I couldn’t help it. There’s something about him that makes me lose all my cool. All my control. All the professional masks I wear for everyone else just fall away when he’s around. And honestly, I think he loves it.
"Ready for an adventure?"
"Always. But where is this adventure?"
"You ask too many questions."
"And you never answer them." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
It isn’t until we reach a private helipad that I realize I’m in for something completely unexpected. There, in front of me, stands the helicopter that belongs to his company.
Is it the date he said he’ll take me, but he said it will happen when I’m least expecting so I’m guessing it’s not a date but something else?
He guides me up the steps, and soon enough, there are already two people onboard, Ireine, his assistant, and Chen, his chief of security.
Soon we’re airborne. I held him for my dear life.
"First time?"
"Y-Yeah."
And the next moment he unbuckles the seat belt, picks me, and puts me on his lap. "Jun—"
"Shh—stay still."
"Ireine and Chen are watching us."
"So?"
I gulp. I bet my cheeks are tomato red and I’m the centre of attraction on this chopper.
"Do you want me to put you down?"
My grip around his neck tightens.
"Good girl."
Ahhhh kill me.
"It’s risky to make a person sit on the lap while flying. She should sit back and tie her seatbelt." Ireine’s words are correct, and as I move from Jun’s lap he holds me firm.
"No. She’s fine here."
I sense the stern dismissal in his voice that he never uses with his employees. Least of all Ireine who is his right hand in business.
I let myself relax. It’s hard when I’m sitting on his lap and his fragrance is caressing me in the most wicked ways and the occasional brush of his nose or lips on my neck are torture of another level.
But do you hear me complaining?
After what feels like forever—though I know it’s only been an hour or so—I saw something black on the ground.
A manufacturing unit with a familiar logo. The logo I saw on the pen drive which contains the details of his car design.
My curiosity piques, and I instinctively move closer to the window, brushing my nose with his.
I give him a knowing look, silently questioning if it’s what I’m thinking and he slow blink.
