Falling for the Omega Idol-Chapter 206: I’M CLOSER TO HANEUL
ROBIN let out a loud tsk. He walked over and stood right between the two of them, and while he did that, he nuzzled Haneul farther away from both.
"While you two are busy here with your weird Alpha posturing," he said, "I’m going to take Haneul to the infirmary."
Taeyang seemed to return to his senses the moment he heard Robin. Right. He should have been focused on Haneul’s state first. Instead, he had let his own stupid jealousy take over and had just picked a fight with Han Seojun. It was a terrible way to act when Haneul might still be feeling weak. Definitely not the best way to show he cared about him.
But when he turned to where Haneul had been, Robin had already pulled him out of the performance hall. His feet almost moved on their own to follow them, but he made himself stay put. After everything that just happened, it would probably be better for Haneul to be with a fellow Omega right now. Having an Alpha, hovering around would probably not help at all.
He would just go and check on him later, once everything calmed down a bit.
Taeyang then turned to Han Seojun. It was all this guy’s fault. If he wasn’t so overly accommodating toward Omegas, acting like some gentleman from the Victorian era, then Choi Yujin wouldn’t have gotten so delusional. If Han Seojun hadn’t fed into Choi Yujin’s psychosis, then the other guy might not have spiraled into whatever this was.
Not that he was excusing what Choi Yujin did. Clearly, that guy already had a major problem with his own way of thinking and his attitude. But if Han Seojun’s "chivalrous" act hadn’t kept feeding his delusions, Choi Yujin might not have reached this breaking point.
His annoyance flared once again and he couldn’t stop himself from saying, "It’s good that you got your shit together at the end, but next time, try not to give false hopes to the Omegas you unknowingly seduced." He stepped closer to the other, his posture threatening. "Because if Haneul is once again involved in your shit, I won’t be so understanding."
Surprisingly, Mr. Prince Charming met his gaze with an equally dark and angry look. "I don’t need your damn understanding." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
He scoffed and was just about to fire back a response when an unexpected figure stepped right between them.
"Taeyang, can we talk for a second?" Baek Eunwoo asked, his voice calm and carrying his usual gentle smile.
Taeyang was so taken aback by Eunwoo’s sudden appearance that the angry energy he’d built up just left him. Before Taeyang could process it, Eunwoo had already taken his arm. The surprise made him hesitate for a crucial second, and in that moment, Eunwoo pulled him along and out of the performance hall.
Seojun, who was left alone, finally came back to himself. He closed his eyes tight and took a slow, deep breath. What was that just now? He had never been a confrontational person. If there was an argument, he always looked for a peaceful way out. It might not be the typical Alpha way, but that was just how he was raised. And yet, just moments ago, he had been fully ready to throw a punch at Jung Taeyang.
He wanted to tell himself that he didn’t understand the reason why, but unfortunately, he knew the reason all too well.
It was Haneul.
If he’d had any doubt before that Taeyang liked Haneul the same way he did, well, now that doubt was completely gone. Seeing how the other had reacted, looking like he was ready to actually beat him up, it was beyond clear Taeyang had feelings for Haneul that went far beyond just being friends.
He opened his eyes and clenched his fists. It’s fine. Haneul was the total package - kind, beautiful, and incredibly talented. Of course there’d be other contestants who would develop feelings for him. But that didn’t matter, because Seojun was already friends with Haneul. He’d already built that connection. That gave him a clear advantage over everyone else, even Jung Taeyang.
The other might act like he’s close to Haneul now, but Taeyang barely interacted with him aside from when they were in the same group during the vocal mission. So, Seojun was confident enough to say that he was definitely closer to Haneul.
But anyway, this wasn’t the important thing right now. They were all still in this competition. As long as they were, neither he nor Jung Taeyang could really act on their feelings for Haneul. At least, they could not be so obvious about it. Seojun decided he would just use this time to get even closer to Haneul.
With that decision made, he also walked out of the performance hall. He was thinking of going straight to the infirmary to check on Haneul. But he changed his mind at the last second. It would be better if he took a quick shower first to wash off the lingering scent of Yujin’s pheromones that still clung to him.
In one side of the performance hall, Mirae stood in the middle of his other ’friends’, putting on a convincing act of being worried about everything that had just happened. But deep down, he had a small, triumphant smile.
So, Kang Haneul was a recessive Omega?

The doctor in the small infirmary had Haneul sit on the examination bed. "We need to check your hormone levels after that exposure."
He prepared a standard blood pressure cuff and pulse oximeter for Haneul’s finger, but then picked up a small, handheld device with a single-use tip.
"This is a saliva-based hormone screen," the doctor explained. "It’s quicker than a blood test for a basic check. It’ll tell us if your cortisol and other stress markers are dangerously high."
She had Haneul place the tip under his tongue for a moment. They waited in silence. Robin stood nearby, arms crossed.
Finally, the device gave a soft beep. The doctor peered at the small readout. "All your levels are stabilizing and are within the normal range. Your stress hormones are elevated, which is completely expected, but they’re already coming down."
