Falling for the Omega Idol-Chapter 210: ON THE WAY TO HIS NEW CABIN
HANEUL spent a little more time talking with Haru before they finally said goodbye and headed off to their new cabins separately. He was walking down the hall now, pulling his suitcase behind him, on his way to find his new assigned room. ๐ฏ๐ง๐๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ฃ๐ค๐๐ฎ๐ต.๐๐ค๐ข
Up ahead, he suddenly saw a familiar figure running toward him from the other end of the hall where heโs walking. Without even thinking about it, Haneul started walking faster, pulling his suitcase along. The space between them closed until they met in the middle of the hallway.
"Hi," Taeyang said, a little out of breath. "Are you on your way to your new room now?"
Haneul smiled up at him. "Yeah, I am."
"Then, let me walk with you," Taeyang said. He smoothly took the handle of the suitcase Haneul was pulling and began pulling it himself as they started walking side by side.
Haneul raised an eyebrow. Taeyang had most likely been on his way to find him, which explained why he was rushing in this direction. But now the other was acting like he just happened to be heading back to his own room, which was on the same hall as Haneulโs new one. Haneul decided not to mention it. He just let Taeyang pull his suitcase and walked beside him at a relaxed pace.
Taeyang cleared his throat. "So, what did the doctor say? Was there any problem with your hormone levels or anything like that?"
"No, everything was normal," Haneul answered. "He just told me I should take it easy and relax for the rest of the day."
Taeyang felt a wave of relief when he heard that. Then, remembering the last part of what Haneul said, he spoke up quickly. "Then we should get you to your new room as soon as we can so you can rest."
Haneul chuckled at the urgency in Taeyangโs voice. "Thatโs exactly my plan."
"Do you want me to bring your dinner to you later?" Taeyang offered. "That way you donโt have to go to the dining hall. I know you donโt like it when everyone stares and gossips about you."
Taeyang remembered the whole incident with Lee Minjae. After that, their group had eaten their meals in the practice room until the other contestants lost interest. During that time, he had noticed that Haneul really wasnโt fond of being the center of that kind of attention. Thatโs why he made this suggestion now.
Haneul almost stopped walking when he heard that. He glanced at Taeyang and saw that the other was not looking at him but ahead. Showing that what he said just came out naturally to him. As if showing this level of care towards him was just the most natural thing to do.
A small smile appeared on his lips. It was such a simple offer, but it made him feel warm and cared for in a way that nothing else had today.
"No, itโs fine. I can have dinner in the dining hall," Haneul said. "My friends will be there with me, so it wonโt really matter if people stare or not."
Taeyang nodded. Even though part of him wanted to have dinner with just the two of them, having more people around Haneul would be better in this situation. "Alright. Iโll knock on your door when itโs time for dinner then."
Soon, they arrived at the door of Haneulโs new cabin room.
"Iโll see you later then?" Haneul said, taking the handle of his suitcase back from Taeyang.
Taeyang nodded. He seemed like he might say something more, but then the door to the next cabin suddenly opened and Park Mirae stepped out. His eyes widened a bit when he saw the two of them standing there. He looked back and forth from Taeyang to Haneul. For a split second, a clear frown crossed his face before he wiped it away completely, as if it had never happened. Instead, a perfectly warm and friendly expression appeared. The switch was so sudden and unnatural it almost gave Haneul goosebumps.
He expected the other to focus on Taeyang, just like heโd done for the past few days. But to his surprise, Park Mirae turned directly to Haneul first. The fake-friendly look on his face quickly shifted into one of exaggerated concern. Or maybe it only looked so exaggerated to Haneul because he knew it was fake. If he hadnโt known better, Park Miraeโs acting would have seemed completely real. Seriously, why did this guy even want to be an idol when he was basically perfect for being an actor?
"Are you alright, Haneul-ssi?" Mirae began, his voice dripping with false concern. "Iโm really, really sorry for what Yujin did. He... heโs not usually like that. I think... I think he just became so emotional because he was eliminated. Please, donโt be too mad at him."
Haneul resisted the urge to roll his eyes. There were only three of them here, so who was Park Mirae acting for? The cameras? His little speech right now wouldnโt change a thing, unless the production team decided to actually show what happened at the elimination. But why would they bother, now that Choi Yujin was already gone? Unless, of course, they wanted to tie this new incident back to what happened in the dining hall. To the time Choi Yujin had tried to make Haneul look like the villain.
Or maybe Park Mirae was just covering all his bases, making sure his act was flawless no matter what might end up on camera later.
Either way, Haneul didnโt really care. Dealing with Park Mirae was just too tiring, and he did not have the energy to engage with the other right now. So, he just offered a polite smile and said, "No, itโs already over. I just hope Choi Yujin-ssi doesnโt blame himself too much for what happened."
Park Mirae looked like he was about to say something more, but Taeyang spoke up faster, cutting him off before he could get another word out.
"Haneul-ah, go on inside now," Taeyang said. "I know youโre tired. You need to rest."
Haneul gave Taeyang a quick, grateful look. Then he offered Park Mirae one last polite smile before he turned, opened the door to his new room, and stepped inside.
