Falling for the Omega Idol-Chapter 211: OPPOSITE WAY OF THINKING
PARK MIRAE looked at the closed door for a moment. Then he turned to Taeyang. He had planned to start a friendly chat with the other, to make it seem like the two of them were close. It wasn’t just for any cameras that might be around, but also in case Kang Haneul was listening behind his door. But who would have thought that before he could even say a word, Taeyang had already taken a few steps and was walking away.
If Mirae called out to him now, he’d have to raise his voice to be heard. He’d already looked pretty desperate every other time he’d tried to approach Jung Taeyang, only to be ignored. So far, he’d been able to spin it so Taeyang seemed like the rude one for ignoring him. He just had to act pitiful when it happened, and if other people were around, he’d act like everything was fine. He acted like someone who was trying to be strong even when he felt sad or disappointed inside.
But truthfully, he was feeling pretty annoyed. He couldn’t understand why Jung Taeyang could not even spare him a single glance. He had tried to be cute, he had tried to be sweet, he had even used a little of his own pheromones to try and attract the other’s attention. But nothing had worked. It was even more frustrating to watch that same quiet, indifferent guy act like a completely besotted puppy whenever he was around Kang Haneul.
The only reason he could think of was Kang Haneul’s face. Seriously, how could a recessive Omega have a face like that? What a total waste. If he had a face like that, he could have used it so much better. That little detail was very useful information, by the way. It’s great that Choi Yujin had been useful right until the end. Now he just had to figure out the best way to share that information with the viewers watching the show.
Anyway, he should probably give up on the whole Jung Taeyang angle. Any more than this and the public might get annoyed with him. It’s such a shame, because Mirae really felt like he and Taeyang would have made a great ship. If only the other was smarter, he would have seen how many votes they could have gotten if the two of them did some ’unplanned’ fan service. You know, acting like they didn’t mean to be sweet, but it still came off that way, anyway. Shippers totally ate that kind of stuff up. But sadly, Jung Taeyang just lacked vision.
Oh well, his lost.
So, Mirae put on a lost, wistful expression as he watched Jung Taeyang’s back. He shook his head and a sad little smile crossed his lips. Then he turned and went back to his own room. The moment the door closed behind him, the sad expression vanished completely from his face.

Inside the PD’s office, Song Kyungho pinched the bridge of his nose. He had never thought they would have another problem with a contestant spraying their pheromones around like it was perfume. The incident with Lee Minjae was at least a bit understandable since he had been on the verge of his rut. But this one with Choi Yujin? It was a deliberate, targeted attack. Because that was exactly what it was - an attack.
He was just glad it had not resulted in any serious injury. The entire program would have been canceled if that had been the case. Thankfully, the doctor had just reported that Kang Haneul, who was the main target of the attack, was perfectly alright.
He knew that having both Alphas and Omegas together on a ship like this had the potential for these kinds of situations to happen. But an incident like this could not be allowed to happen again. So Kyungho decided he had to do something about it, to prevent anything similar from occurring in the future.
"Are we going to make an announcement about this tonight, PD?" one of his assistants asked him.
Kyungho shook his head. "No, we will do it tomorrow. Let them all have a chance to rest tonight."

After he finished his usual morning dance exercises, Haneul brushed his teeth and did his morning skincare routine. Then, he changed out of his pajamas and put on a soft sweatshirt with matching sweatpants.
Just after he was done getting dressed, he heard a knock on his cabin door. He didn’t even need to open it to know who it was. A small, unconscious smile crossed his lips as he walked to the door and pulled it open. And just like he expected, Taeyang was standing there.
"Good morning," Taeyang greeted him.
"Good morning," Haneul greeted back. Even though he felt all giddy inside, he knew he still had to be clearheaded about the situation. "But you really don’t have to knock on my door like this every morning for breakfast."
Once was fine, like last night for dinner. But if he did not say this to Taeyang now, he had a strong feeling the other would keep doing it. Taeyang would keep picking him up every morning so they could walk to the dining hall together. Something like that would definitely get caught on camera. What if the production team decided to make some kind of story with him and Taeyang as the main focus? There would certainly be a lot of material for them to use.
Some contestants would probably enjoy that kind of screen time, but Haneul would not. He wanted people to vote for him because of his talent and his personality, not because they enjoyed seeing him paired up with Taeyang. Some might call that a stupid way to think. A vote was a vote, after all. But Haneul just felt he would be a total fraud if he let that happen.
Then, Taeyang suddenly said, "Do you not want to spend time with me?" 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Haneul raised his head abruptly at that question and then stopped when he saw the look on Taeyang’s face.
