Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God-Chapter 2148 - 982: Luring the Enemy into the Trap (Part 2)
"As expected, it’s the Corpse Burning Flame Spirit, a Legendary Advanced Undead from birth, no wonder you had no choice but to flee in disarray." Gaven said seriously, "If it’s this kind of Undead, we need to plan carefully."
This kind of Undead is extremely rare even in the Bottomless Abyss, let alone on the Material Plane. Whenever it appears, it brings disaster.
Because wherever it goes, it brings flames and death.
Fortunately, this is the Plains of Bone in the Bottomless Abyss, with not much that can be ignited. If it were the Material Plane, it would have destroyed numerous cities and forests by now.
Its traits make it impossible for them to remain long on the Material Plane, as various forces and strong individuals would eradicate it at all costs. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Physical attacks cause minimal harm to this Spirit Undead, whereas its method of occupying a body and burning from within is very troublesome. A slight carelessness can lead to failure.
To deal with such an enemy, targeted strategies are necessary.
The Skeleton Lord remained a silent observer, not voicing any opinions, as he never had a desire for revenge from the start. Everything was planned by Gaven after hearing his intelligence.
"Let’s discuss the surrounding intelligence, besides the Skeleton Warhorse Pool, what other Skeleton Pools are nearby and who occupies them?" Gaven shifted the topic to the current intelligence.
Whether in terms of distance or power, this Corpse Burning Flame Spirit is destined to be a mid-term war target.
Not to mention, its location hasn’t been determined, even if it were.
Gaven would not bypass the Undead Lords along the way to attack but would push through, recruiting all Undead Lords along the path under his banner to fight for him as the proper path.
"To the northwest, there is also a Plague Skeleton Pool, from which emerge Plague Zombies, controlled by an Ogre Zombie.
To the east lies another Skeleton Lord, with the majority being Skeleton Minotaurs under his command.
To the southwest resides a Corpse Hound, guarded by a large number of skeletal canines. It is the strongest Undead around, but due to its lack of wisdom, the forces here are relatively scattered."
The Skeleton Lord succinctly summarized the intelligence he grasped.
"Corpse Hound?" Gaven was drawn to one of the names.
Ever since he destroyed the Death Stalker in Mosantiel City through Destroy Evil, absorbed its energy, and acquired Secondary Bone Enhancement and Secondary Bone Manipulation.
Gaven had been very attentive to Corpse Corpse undead similar to Death Stalker, having collected three types - Death Stalker, Corpse Giant Crab, and Corpse Hound.
In his view, they are different branches of the same Undead, essentially the same, with core abilities of absorbing corpses.
The differences in appearance and abilities are likely due to their origins, as different necromancers have varying preferences; some favor the bizarre form of Death Stalker, others are fond of hounds, and some are enamored with crabs.
In this world, very few Undead are born under special circumstances.
The majority of Undead are artificially created as tools of war, such is the case with the aforementioned three types of Corpse Corpse undead, even the present Skeleton Lord may not necessarily originate from the Felen Plane.
In the multiverse, there is only one Bottomless Abyss, but countless Material Planes, and the ultimate destination for the evil souls from their worlds is here.
This is why the Bottomless Abyss and The Nine Hells always have a continuous influx of souls, with areas far exceeding those of the Material Plane.
Having fortuitously arrived at the Plains of Bone, the lair of these Corpse Corpse undead, it is imperative to seize the opportunity to maximize these two abilities.
It was unexpected to encounter one so soon.
Gaven naturally wouldn’t explain too much to the Skeleton Lord, after a brief consideration he said, "We shall adhere to the principle of gradual progress, starting with the easier targets. Let’s strike at the Skeleton Cavalry Lord first, take over its Skeleton Warhorse Pool, and aim to upgrade all of our infantry into cavalry.
Your current task is to lure the enemy out from its lair, into the preset battlefield; I will send a Dog Demon to ensure your safety."
With more diverse unit types, along with the hundred or so Blazing Skeletons incorporated into the Slaughter Skeleton Soldiers, he could now engage in some simple strategic tactics.
It’s not that the more sophisticated the strategic tactics, the better, but that they just need to suffice.
When dealing with a group of unintelligent Sage Beasts, playing with tactics is akin to casting pearls before swine.
Only when facing sufficiently advanced enemies can the significance and value of strategic tactics be truly realized.
Gaven’s current situation was like the former.
Although the Skeleton Cavalry Lord had awakened intelligence due to his lord status, it was evidently not very high.
The Skeleton Lord, with his newly recruited and converted thousand Skeleton Soldiers, approached his Skeleton Warhorse Pool, prompting him to eagerly lead thousands of Skeleton Cavalry in a grand charge.
More Skeleton Cavalry and Skeleton Warhorses stayed behind.
The number of forces these low-level Undead Lords can command is relatively limited; this Skeleton Knight Lord could control so many Skeleton Cavalry only with the backing of that Skeleton Warhorse Pool, otherwise, one to two thousand would be the limit.
