Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God-Chapter 2218 - 1005: Ceasefire Negotiations (Part 3)
He originally had this idea in mind.
Not being capable of forcing the enemy to relinquish the occupied territories, he could only redirect the disaster eastward, seeking compensation from other Advanced Undead Lords.
"Better them than me."
This is the inherent mindset of all Demon Lords, and the Giant Bone King is no exception.
"Whoever snatched it, it belongs to." Gaven was straightforward, "It’s all based on one’s ability; after all, if you’ve swallowed it, there’s no reason to spit it out."
"Which territory are you planning to target?" The Giant Bone King tacitly agreed with Gaven’s suggestion again.
Because this is an unspoken rule among Demon Lords—might makes right.
Absolutely fair and reasonable.
If you feel it’s unfair or unreasonable,
You can change everything with your own fists; if you can’t, then just shut up obediently.
Now that the two sat down to negotiate, it was based on this foundation.
If they hadn’t acknowledged each other’s strengths, thinking that without paying a heavy price, they couldn’t take the other down.
This war would continue until one side emerges victorious.
A consensus for negotiation was reached the moment the Giant Bone King first spoke.
The remaining battle was the final test, vying for dominance in discourse.
Gaven did not answer the question but instead threw it back: "You are the local landlord, which target do you think is more suitable?"
"How about the Burning Flames Queen?" the Giant Bone King tentatively asked.
"Such probing is very poor!" Gaven coldly replied, "Not to mention whether our forces are suitable for fighting such an enemy, just how would your soldiers enter the opponent’s territory? I let your army traverse my territory, do you dare?"
The territories of the four Advanced Undead Lords of the Plains of Bone, although not perfectly squared, each occupied a corner, with an irregular barren area in the middle serving as a war buffer zone.
The Territory of Giant Bones was surrounded by the Domain of the Corpses, ruled by the Corpse King, and the Dragon Bone Domain, ruled by the Skeleton Dragon King, and did not border the Bone Burning Domain of the Burning Flames Queen, now even further separated by Gaven’s Slaughter Territory.
"Haha..." The Giant Bone King used a terrifying laugh to disguise his embarrassment.
Using this method to probe the opponent’s understanding of the Plains of Bone was indeed not clever, but it was useful.
At least one thing was certain, the opponent’s intelligence work was quite competent, at least knowing clearly who they were facing.
Trying to mislead the opponent with intelligence was an unwise choice that could easily backfire.
The Giant Bone King suggested again: "The Dragon Bone Domain is our next best target for attack. The nature of its territory is most similar to ours, and its strength is the weakest. In a surprise attack, we have a chance to take it down in one fell swoop.
I will attack from the perimeter to draw his attention, pulling all his forces out, creating an internal vacuum, and you strike directly at his Dragon Tomb."
"Agreed." Gaven agreed readily.
The so-called joint attack by both sides was to have a common goal, then each attacked separately, keeping a significant distance between them.
Otherwise, it would just be mutual hindrance.
In the Bottomless Abyss, trust is always the most scarce resource.
"What is your name?" the Giant Bone King asked.
Gaven answered without hesitation: "Hands of Slaughter!"
In the Bottomless Abyss, one must never reveal their true name, as many evil and bizarre spells could exploit it.
The Giant Bone King waved his hand, and a giant rib appeared out of thin air, floating towards Gaven: "Through this, you can contact me directly, facilitating the execution of our next plan."
Gaven had no intention of accepting the giant rib, responding nonchalantly: "If you are sincere in cooperation, even without communication, we could coordinate perfectly.
If you are double-minded, even daily communication would be full of lies, making the plan hard to execute; let’s judge by each other’s actual actions!"
He agreed to the Giant Bone King’s battle plan so readily not out of trust.
Quite the opposite, it was out of mistrust.
The more complex the war plan, the higher the demand for trust.
Since there was not even a sliver of trust on either side, why waste the words and energy?
Moreover, who knows what the opponent is giving him? Whether it carries unknown magic or abilities.
"Mr. Hands of Slaughter adapts quickly to life in the Abyss." The Giant Bone King casually withdrew the giant rib, "Then it’s decided, from now on, our common goal is to conquer the Dragon Bone Domain.
If you invade any more of my Soul Pools, our agreement will be automatically void, and I’ll lead an army to completely destroy you and your territory at any cost."
"Understood." Gaven made no promises.
Because even if he did, the opponent wouldn’t believe it; promises are the cheapest and least valuable thing in the Bottomless Abyss.
"See you at the Dragon Bone Domain." The Giant Bone King strode away without looking back, certainly not leaving the Corpse Giant for Gaven.
Until the massive figure of the Corpse Giant disappeared at the horizon, the chest of the Slaughter Corpse Giant automatically opened, and Gaven leaped down from it.
His top advisor, the Dog Demon, immediately approached and reminded him: "Master, demonic alliances are not to be trusted.
The moment we shift our attack towards the Dragon Bone Domain, he might join forces with the Skeleton Dragon King to crush us from front and back."
"He won’t do that." Gaven confidently replied, "Even if he wants to, the Skeleton Dragon King might not necessarily believe him."
The Dog Demon saw Gaven’s confidence and became more anxious, "All demons are untrustworthy!"
