Fated: The Alpha's Unwanted Luna-Chapter 170: Angry Wife_Part 2
Sebastian was blazing with rage, it was clear that one of his Betas had been slack enough to let this woman seduce him into carelessness, and he would deal with that person separately. But first he needed to teach this one a lesson. He knew women like her far too well, and without a doubt this was exactly how she had seduced Evan away from his hellcat. He couldn’t help but think once again just how spectacularly stupid Evan was.
Leni, feeling her wrist being crushed, cried out, and then let herself sway deliberately and collapse onto his lap, right where she had been aiming to land, moaning softly into his ear.
Before Sebastian could shove her off him in disgust, he heard the distinct click of his office door opening. His first thought was that it was Matt, and he was already directing a glare toward the door and parting his lips to give the order to have this woman dragged down to the cells with her husband, when his eyes landed on his wife instead.
She was standing in the doorway wearing the adorable pikachu pajamas and his coat, and the look on her face moved from shock to something that broke open into pure betrayal right before his eyes.
Sebastian registered every flash of emotion that crossed her face in that single moment and cursed quietly under his breath, because at that same instant, the woman he had momentarily forgotten was still on his lap wrapped her arms around his neck, making the entire scene look exactly as damning as it possibly could. Without a second thought he flung her away from his lap and moved toward his wife, but her slap hit him before he reached her, stopping him dead in his tracks.
"You are no different from him."
She was gone before he could say a single word. His darkened expression swung to Leni, who was still sitting on the floor with an expression of wide-eyed innocence plastered across her face, and the urge to strangle her right then and there was so intense it took real restraint to set it aside, but wasting another moment on her would only cost him more time with Viola.
They hadn’t even been married five hours and something like this has happened!
Sebastian contacted Matt immediately and ordered him to send guards to his office and have Leni escorted directly to the cells to join her husband. Then he walked out of his office and went after his wife.
She wasn’t in his penthouse, he checked and found it empty, the rooms undisturbed. She hadn’t gone back there. She had gone to her own place instead. When he got there, he unlocked the door easily, as she had given him the new password several days ago.
He stepped inside and switched on the living room light. She wasn’t there.
When Sebastian finally found her, she was in her bedroom, yanking the blankets off the bed and hurling them onto the floor as though she fully intended to sleep down there, her back turned rigidly to the door and not acknowledging his presence for even a fraction of a second, even though he could tell from the slight stiffening of her shoulders that she felt him standing there.
He had foolishly expected to find her broken and crying, but the woman he was watching had a cold, almost frighteningly indifferent look on her face.
He watched her from the doorway for a moment before he began to move toward her, but he hadn’t even gotten close when her voice cut through the air. Low and unmistakably threatening. "Don’t you dare come near me." She yanked the sheet off the bed with such force and aggression that it swung through the air and slammed into the nightstand lamp, sending it crashing to the floor in pieces.
His coat and his shoes were nowhere on her anymore, and her bare feet were dangerously close to the broken fragments scattered across the floor, but if she was aware of it, she gave no sign of caring and kept going, moving through her anger with terrifying focus.
Sebastian frowned, watching her carefully as he said, "We need to talk."
"I have absolutely nothing to talk to you about, do you hear me? Get out of my room and go back to your bitch!" She spun on him, her eyes blazing and her face flushed deep with it. "You are all the same, none of you can resist that bitch. Go ahead and finish what you started with her for all I care, I don’t want you here! Get out!" She screamed, her emotions getting the better of her entirely, the deep jealousy and insecurity she carried intensifying tenfold because of his mark still sitting on her skin.
She might have felt hurt even without the mark, she knew that. But the mark multiplied the hurt into something monstrous and made the anger impossible to contain or reason with. Even as she tried to remind herself that she had absolutely no right to carry this rage, that she had accepted from the beginning that he was not hers alone despite their marriage, she could not stop it. The images of him and Leni kept flashing behind her eyes like a broken record that wouldn’t quit.
What right did she even have over him, when he had already told her he couldn’t leave a permanent mark on her? So why couldn’t she control this?
"I SAID GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" She stormed across the floor toward him, stepping directly onto the broken fragments without flinching, without even looking down, and shoved hard at his chest.
"Control yourself, Viola. It is not what you think it is." Sebastian caught her wrists and held them firmly but carefully. "I did not make out with Leni."
"Don’t you dare try to feed me that! You would have if I hadn’t walked in when I did. I don’t want to talk about it and I don’t want to see your face. Stay away from me until your mark fades!" She yanked at her wrists, trying to pull free, but Sebastian held on and didn’t release her.
Though a part of him was more than a little pleased that she was reacting this fiercely to the thought of him being with another woman, he didn’t like that she wasn’t listening, and he didn’t like that she was hurting herself in the middle of it. She wrenched her hands away from him with a force that he knew had to sting, and immediately went back to shoving at his chest.
"Get out of my room, you bastard! The sight of you disgusts me, it hurts my eyes!" She gritted furiously, pushing and shoving against him with everything she had.
