Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 668 - 667: Operation Failure
Because of her menstrual period, the CEO simply waved his hand, decreeing she shouldn’t go to the Company for a while and should just stay at home.
As a result, she could only lounge on the sofa, constantly flipping through channels, watching dull TV Dramas.
So boring! There’s nothing to do to pass the time.
About ten minutes later, Frederick Goldsmith opened the kitchen’s Grand Gate and walked out with brown sugar water.
Nia Mitchell, bored on the sofa, pricked up her ears at the sound. She immediately got up and scampered off to hide.
Seeing Frederick heading towards the Living Room, Nia ran, smiling, towards the kitchen.
Inevitably, Frederick heard the footsteps. When he turned around, Nia Mitchell was already at the kitchen’s Grand Gate.
"Young Madam!" Frederick called out. Nia Mitchell, however, ignored him and immediately reached to open the kitchen’s Grand Gate.
But... hmm? It won’t open! ARGH!!!
Nia Mitchell’s expression froze. She turned her head and glared at Frederick, her face dark with annoyance.
"Young Madam, your brown sugar water," Frederick said, ignoring the glare, still smiling as he placed the drink on the coffee table.
"Frederick Goldsmith, has anyone ever told you how annoying you are!" Nia Mitchell exclaimed, her voice laced with woe. She felt completely drained of energy and could only drag herself slowly towards the sofa.
"Young Madam, it’s just for a week. Please bear with it; otherwise, the Young Master will be angry."
The mere mention of Maxwell Peary being angry made Nia Mitchell shudder. So terrifying.
"I know," Nia Mitchell mumbled, taking off her shoes and sitting on the sofa. She then picked up the warm brown sugar water.
"You can go about your business, Frederick. I’ll be fine here on my own," Nia Mitchell said with a sigh, slowly sipping the sweet drink. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
But had Nia Mitchell truly given up?
Once she finished her drink, Nia Mitchell went upstairs to change. She then returned to the Living Room.
Noticing that the Living Room was empty, she immediately changed her shoes, grabbed her bag, and slipped out the door.
HAHAHA! Who could stop her out here?
She immediately whipped out her phone and called Evelyn Peary. She reminisced about their fun trip to the Amusement Park; they had even enjoyed a barbecue. It had been wonderful!
"Sister-in-law!" Evelyn Peary sounded like she was on the verge of tears. Honestly, she hadn’t wanted to answer the call at all.
"Evelyn, let’s go out and have some fun!"
Hearing this, Evelyn Peary felt like she was going to faint.
"Sister-in-law, do you have any idea where I am?" She would love to go out and play, but... it was impossible.
"Where are you?"
"I’m with Andrew Morgan. Big brother sent me here, and I had no choice but to accept."
He actually said I was a bad influence on his wife! Sheesh, what was he thinking? So unfair!
Don’t be fooled by my sister-in-law; she looks as innocent as a little white rabbit and usually appears completely harmless, but when she lies, you can’t see through her at all.
"Andrew Morgan? Why did you go there?"
Why would Maxwell Peary send her away? Evelyn is his sister, not his Employee. Evelyn should have been able to refuse, right?
Evelyn Peary looked helplessly towards the sky. Honestly... initially, all the registration documents for Madgar Pavilion were in her name, but... overnight, the ownership of Madgar Pavilion had changed.
That domineering CEO had called her, his voice cold and ruthless as he informed her:
"Either you go to Andrew Morgan for a month, or Madgar Pavilion becomes mine. All its future income will be mine, your allowance will be cut off, and you won’t get any of the bags, clothes, jewelry, or antiques you mentioned wanting to buy."
Heh. Big brother, this isn’t a choice at all!
