Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 669 - 668: Do you have a grudge against Young Master Peary?
And so, the unambitious Evelyn Peary chose to stay in Andrew Morgan for a month.
"Little Sister-in-law, my brother is so heartless," Evelyn said over the phone. "You should really give him a talking-to later. I’m his biological sister, you know! Not some piece of trash he picked up from the street."
I can’t think about it, I just can’t, Evelyn fumed silently. The more I think about it, the more miserable I feel.
"As if I could ever lecture him." Nia Mitchell pouted. She was completely under his thumb.
"Why wouldn’t you be able to? Sister-in-law, you’re his wife."
Nia sighed and walked towards the garage. It was practically impossible to get a cab around here, so she had to drive. She had just randomly grabbed a car key from upstairs and didn’t even know which car it belonged to.
"What does being his wife matter?" Nia said into the phone. "He’s incredibly controlling with me."
Evelyn sounded as if she had just heard a huge piece of gossip. Her eyes lit up. "If he controls you, then you should fight back!" she urged. It’d be best if she turned things completely upside down! Let’s see if he can still keep a straight face while lecturing people then.
Nia stopped in her tracks. She suddenly realized something wasn’t quite right. Why does it seem like she’s trying to get me to cause a huge ruckus? "Evelyn, do you and your brother hold a grudge against each other or something?"
Evelyn’s face instantly turned awkward. Heh, heh, she found me out, she thought. "How could that be, Sister-in-law? My brother and I... how could we *not* hold a grudge against each other! If we didn’t, why would I be in Andrew Morgan!"
"You go on and resist all you want," Nia said. "I can’t." Every time I try to resist, I’m suppressed so miserably. Thinking about the ways he "suppressed" her, she couldn’t help but blush and quickly hung up.
Having arrived at the garage, she took out the car key and pressed the button. Not far away, the lights of a black, limited-edition Maybach flashed. Nia immediately walked over.
GASP—
Nia’s knowledge of cars was limited to recognizing the more well-known car emblems; she only knew the car in front of her was a Maybach. In Maxwell’s garage, packed with luxury cars as it was, you wouldn’t find an inexpensive one anyway.
So, she got in, and with a VROOM, the car sped off!
A good car really is different, Nia thought. This feel, this sensation... it’s incredible!
Nia immediately called Fiona Sutton, wanting to ask her to hang out.
"Fiona?"
Fiona was currently in her dormitory eating instant noodles. Unfortunately, she still hadn’t found a job. Although she had a little money in her account now, she couldn’t just live off her savings indefinitely.
"Hmm? How come you have time to call me?" Fiona asked, puzzled. Shouldn’t she be at work?
"I’ll be at University A soon. Want to hang out?" Nia said, getting straight to the point.
Fiona paused, thought for a moment, then nodded. "Okay, I’ll wait for you here in the dorm. Call me when you arrive, and I’ll come down."
"Okay."
After hanging up, Nia immediately called Charles Northwood.
"Charles, want to go out and have some fun?" Nia asked with a grin.
Charles was currently in a classroom; he still had one more class to get through that morning. It was just a break between classes, or else he wouldn’t have been able to answer his phone.
"I have another class later."
"No problem, we can wait for you."
We? Charles was taken aback for a moment, assuming she was with Maxwell.
"Alright then, sorry to trouble you both."
Once they had agreed, Charles hung up.
"That was Nia on the phone, wasn’t it?"
Charles was sitting on top of a desk right by the window. Tara Jameson leaned against the window frame, gazing into the distance.
Hearing her voice, Charles paused, then turned to look at Tara, who had her back to him.
"Mhm."
