Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot-Chapter 697 - 696: Young Master Peary is too tsundere
Nia Mitchell and Fiona Sutton stood together, both frowning, not quite comprehending what the man before them was doing.
What on earth was going on?
This man, who appeared to be the Manager, had just scurried over. Now he stood there as if frozen, not saying a word.
"Excuse me... are you here to eat?"
The Manager carefully pondered. He wanted to ask why this person was driving Young Master Peary’s car, but he didn’t know the identity of the woman before him and was uncertain how to phrase his question.
Fiona Sutton muttered a curse under her breath, impatiently nodding.
"No shit. If we aren’t here to eat, why would we be at a Dining Hall?"
Fiona Sutton was already in a bad mood, and this just made it worse.
She grabbed Nia Mitchell and headed straight for the Dining Hall, completely ignoring the Manager left behind.
The Manager hesitated for a moment before deciding to follow them.
"I wonder if the car you were driving is..." He still asked about the car.
Nia Mitchell glanced at the Manager, her brow furrowed in displeasure.
"What does it have to do with you?"
Today was simply not the day to be out—she had already wrecked a car, so hearing others mention cars left her in a bad mood. She decided she was going to eat her fill.
The Manager was taken aback and stopped.
These two young ladies were not to be trifLED with. Regardless of their relationship with Young Master Peary, it was best to treat them well. But then, in a Buffet Restaurant, what the hell kind of special treatment could he provide?
Nia Mitchell and Fiona Sutton quickly selected heaps of food, then found a secluded spot to sit.
About half an hour into their meal, Nia Mitchell seemed to realize something.
"This Dining Hall doesn’t seem to be doing well," she observed.
Fiona Sutton wore an expression of disbelief as she checked the time on her phone.
It was lunchtime, so why were there so few customers in this Dining Hall? It wasn’t like this when she had visited before.
"It seems not only is it hard to find jobs in Capital Town, but even running a Dining Hall is difficult," Nia mused. The food in this Dining Hall is quite good, yet its business looks so bleak. Making money is hard indeed.
The Manager, standing not far away, cast occasional glances at them. He was unaware that his actions had earned him the sympathy of the two young ladies.
Seeing another group of customers approaching, the Manager stepped forward instantly.
"I’m sorry, but this Dining Hall has sold out for today."
The customers were taken aback. Stopped at the door and looking at the few occupied tables inside, they were left with no choice. Since the Dining Hall staff said they were sold out, what else could they do? Their only choice was to leave.
While they were eating, as Fiona Sutton went to get more food, Nia Mitchell seized the chance to call the CEO.
"Hm?"
Maxwell Peary was in a very bad mood; this Rabina Mitchell had taken such a long time to call him.
"Uncle, have you had lunch yet?" Nia Mitchell began tentatively, sensing his anger from his tone, and chose her words with extra care.
"No," the CEO responded tersely. Always thinking about food, he thought with irritation.
"Ah? But it’s already noon. Not eating is bad for your health," Nia Mitchell immediately urged him to eat.
Maxwell Peary disregarded Nia Mitchell’s words, continuing to look at the emails on his computer.
"You don’t care anyway."
HISS.
Such heavy resentment in those words! Nia Mitchell, inside the Buffet Restaurant, felt goosebumps rise all over. She rubbed her ears in disbelief. Could Maxwell Peary really have said such a thing?
